For some reason the two people who had entered rang no alarm bells for Lexi and so she chose to think about whether or not her food was going to taste well and if it was going to help defeat the cravings that was she was sorta starting to get thanks to going cold turkey on the whole cigarette thing. She had tried to quit before but had nothing to keep on her on track but this time around she wanted to be a better person and perhaps a little healthier but still, it didn't stop her craving the nicotine although she tried her hardest not to let on to Morrison that she really really wanted one.
However the way he looked up was enough to make her on edge and she watched as his eyes moved to look over the couple before he was distracted by the girl bringing their food over and as he moved to allow her to place the plates down Lexi shifted slightly so she could look at the two in the corner out of the corner of her eye before she turned back to her boyfriend with a slightly confused look- she still wasn't quite sure why he had reacted the way he had although the thought that maybe the other two were also of the wolf variety which was of course enough to make her want to run away very fast....
“those two that just entered, never seen them before.”
He sat down and she relaxed slightly although not enough to take the edge of the fact that two wolves she didn't know were sitting in the same area as her. Being with Morrison had helped some of her prejudice against the supernatural beings of the world but a part of her would always loath wolves and vampires and what the part they had played in ruining her life. So when she flinched ever so slightly at his words she consoled herself to the fact that she was still getting used to society and that she couldn't help herself. Really. Yeah, like she was convincing herself and she highly doubted he would be either.
"Maybe they just came for the coffee?" Unfortunately she might have been able to control the expression on her face but the fear that crept into her voice came unbidden and she hated herself for it but as she had already resigned herself to it there was no surprise at it being there.
The two wolves of course were not paying much attention to what was being said as the male had suddenly been struck with the memory of where the man had been see before. Leaning over the table looking for all the world to be having an intimate word with his lady he mumbled into her ear. "I think that's the one who runs about for the research council."
"Really?" Her eyebrows rose and she had to resist the urge to twist in her seat to stare at the man and his human. She couldn't believe someone so trusted was around a human of all things! A human! Her master was going to be furious....after he had finished being pleased that they had found the girl of course but still, she really didn't want to be the one to break the news. Maybe she could get the other to do it? "Well, that is not good." She took a sip of her coffee thinking about what she was going to do. She would need to report this of course but she was torn between staying and listening for more information and leaving. Finally she finished her coffee and threw some money onto the table before getting up, her partner following. "Ve had better get moving or ve vill be late."
Taking his arm the pair left the cafe and the traitor behind although Katerina was soon on the phone to her master informing him of their information. She was told to retreat but make sure they kept a good eye on the pair. He wanted to know everything about the human girl who had gotten away and why a wolf was so willing to throw everything away for her.

It seemed like Morrison was quite talented at accidentally making Lexi uncomfortable. Him being distracted by the couple as he had been must have clued her into the fact that two were wolves since he was never really that concerned about humans and the vampires couldn’t be out this time of day. She was trying to hide her worry, but he knew her too well and the way her body was all tense and that her eyes had drifted away from him to look at the two told him everything. Hopefully the wolves would leave soon, since he didn’t want to have to leave and Lexine had been enjoying herself until then.
"Maybe they just came for the coffee?"
The wolf glanced back at the pair and shrugged. They looked like they were in a hurry, even though they’d both just received a mug; there was a restlessness about them, like it was hard for them to sit still, especially the redhead. “Probably,” he shrugged, “I’m sure they’ll leave soon.” He was pretty much positive about that, neither of them was acting as if they wanted to just sit and talk over coffee, and that worried him. No one came into the café if they weren’t planning to stay for a while, it wasn’t that sort of place, and what was worse, he could feel them watching him and Lexine whenever he looked away. If he wasn’t trying to keep his girlfriend calm, he would have gone over and confronted them.
Shaking his head softly, the wolf now concentrated solely on Lexi, reaching across the table and grabbing up her hand. “Let’s not let two strangers ruin our lunch, hm?” He pulled her hand up to kiss her fingers then placed the hand back on the table, patting the hand before he turned to his plate. “Besides,” he said, “I’m starving.” He smiled at her shortly then started on his sandwich, glad to get some food back in his stomach. A moment later, he was relieved to see the pair of werewolves walking out the door, letting him relax now that he wasn’t worried about being stared at. Hopefully, they wouldn’t bump into each other later in the day.

“Let’s not let two strangers ruin our lunch, hm?”
Him taking her hand was enough to distract her mind from the other wolves and her body soon relaxed enough to show that she was ok with the whole situation (although maybe not entirely happy with it) and that she would ignore the other couple for at least the time being. Besides with a gorgeous and rather sexy Irish man in front of her it wasn't exactly hard to put her mind and thoughts to better use, and it helped when he took her hand and kissed her fingers. She smiled.
“I’m starving.”
Her small smile from before turned into a full blown grin and despite it only being on her face for a few moments it was enough to make her nearly completely at ease and she felt better for it. And if she didn't know any better she would accuse him of always being hungry since he always seemed to make huge breakfasts! But as it was she was pretty hungry herself now and she turned to her sandwich before beginning to nibble at it.
She wasn't really one to eat a lot and more often than not she had to be made to eat more than a few mouthfuls but this food was actually quite nice and she had finished the first half of her sandwich before she realised what she was doing and swallowing the mouthful she had been chewing reached for her cup before taking a few sips of the still hot liquid. Hmm. She was glad they had come here,,,the food was good and it was really quite a relaxing environment (apart from a certain couple anyway) and she would be quite happy to come again. Had they gone somewhere else she probably would have wanted to leave after only a few minutes. She was happy to come back again.
She was momentarily distracted from her food by the wolf couple getting up and leaving the cafe and any tension that she might have been holding onto disappeared completely. She was so glad they had left! Morrison being tense had made her tense and she was really really trying not to be that kind of girl anymore...even if she was still rather terrified of werewolves but she was getting better! He also seemed a little more relaxed that they had left so she was glad that she hadn't been the only one to think them a little weird and not good.
Katerina of course was unaware that their leaving had caused the loved up couple to lose any tension since she was more concerned with getting out of the cafe and getting onto the phone with her master providing him with an update of her observations. Having left the building it had finally clicked who the man was with the human girl and as William answered the phone she frowned into the speaker as she delivered her news.
"Ve followed them," She turned slightly so she could look down the street to the cafe so she could make sure that if they left she would know about it. "She is with a wolf called Morrison Whelan. He vorks for us." She nearly spat the last few words out but she had to move the phone away from her ear as he gave uncharacteristic curses. "Shall I continue to follow?" She waited. "Yes Sir." She hung up and leaned against the wall and kept her eyes on the cafe. She would wait all day if she had to, she had her orders and she would follow them to the letter...if only to get the praise from her beloved master. She would, afterall, do anything for that man and besides that, she hated traitors who would choose humans over the majestic beauty that was a lycan. This Morrison was a fool to be so involved with any human. Especially this human.
"Fools."

The expression that was now on Lexi’s face was so much better. Apparently, she’d been quite amused by his hunger, and he understood why well enough. He always had large breakfasts and in a few hours, he was in the mood for even more food, but he blamed that on the wolf part, it was always hungry in one way or another, his body just took a while to catch up with it. At least he wasn’t always in the mood for fresh meet since Lexine wouldn’t find it as amusing to have him running off into the woods for a snack. In fact, that reminded him that he had yet to show himself to her as a wolf, she couldn’t be deluded into thinking that he was completely human.
At the moment however, food was enough to keep his mind off any sort of animal urges and with those strangers out of the way, there wasn’t any reason to have a violent thought either. Plus, his human looked rather adorable stuffing her face like she was. He wasn’t sure if he’d ever seen her this hungry, yet he was sure it meant something good, that she was getting over any sort of depression and most of her cravings. She was also starting to put on weight, but he wasn’t going to say anything about that since he didn’t want to make her feel self-conscious and he rather enjoyed how much healthier it made her look.
A small smile fell on Morrison’s lips when the woman stopped half way through her sandwich and glanced up before taking a drink of her tea. He would have chuckled, yet he’d just taken a large bite of his own sandwich and he might have made a mess, instead he contented himself with giving her a confused look though he was still smiling. She was so cute, not that he’d say that to her again, she’d finally gotten comfortable and he didn’t want to disrupt her mood.
It was about an hour before the two of them were finished eating and drinking their hot drinks and just sitting around talking and watching the people in the café. At one point an old friend of Morrison’s, Charlotte, came up to them and they talked for a short while. Charlotte was another were that used to work with him, yet she had left for her family and he hadn’t seen her since then. It had been tempting to catch up with her about what she had been doing the past year or so, but he knew that would completely leave Lexi out of the conversation and he didn’t want to do that to her. Instead, he settled for a little small talk and promising to contact her later, though he wasn’t sure when that would be since he felt like he was always busy with his girlfriend, which of course, wasn’t a bad thing.
Finally, they were ready to leave. Morrison bid Grieg and a few other acquaintances goodbye before leading Lexi out with his arm around her hip. When they got outside, the man turned his head slightly when the smell caught up with him, but he made no indication that anything was wrong. “Now, what to do?” he asked his girlfriend, turning his eyes back on her as they started down the sidewalk. He hoped that she’d want to go somewhere incredibly crowded so that they might be able to lose those two wolves who’d been in the café earlier. If not, he might just be forced to do something rash since he didn’t take kindly to being stalked.

Had Lexi had the first clue that she was being followed about by two dangerous wolves she might have slightly regretted leaving her Sai at the weaponry shop....only slightly of course since she was quite capable of defending herself without her Sai but all the same it was still a good thing she didn't have a clue. Mind you, Morrison being all tense had affected her somewhat but not enough to dwell on longer than a few minutes. Of course if she had known she would have been freaking out by now, she did not like wolves no matter who she was dating and the knowledge would not help her prejudices at all.
After the other couple had left the pair of them had settled into a comfortable silence as they ate their food and despite being rather hungry she still managed to leave half of her sandwich on the plate and she pushed it away with a grimace feeling a little sick but not enough to be concerned about the feeling. Besides the food had been good and she was glad she had been brought here today...and it made a nice change eating out than being at home and having something whipped up.
Eventually however they were both finished with food and their drinks and people soon started to come up to the table and speak to Morrison. Lexi, having no clue who these people were was more than happy to sit back and let her boyfriend talk to them without having to get too involved in the conversations since she wouldn't know what to say as it was. However, when the woman called Charlotte came over it was obvious that Morrison knew her a little better than anyone else they had spoken to and for just a moment a brief flash of jealousy hit her before she squashed it down. It wouldn't do for him to think she was jealous of every woman that came up to them but still, she couldn't help how she felt, especially with her not being very confident about herself as it was.
Finally they were able to get up and having said goodbye to those around them left the cafe. With his arm around her Lexi was more than happy to just relax against him and enjoy being back outside and since the lunchtime rush was over the street was rather more quiet than it had been when they had gone inside- she guessed most people had gone back to work by now although she didn't doubt that there would still be plenty of people about once they hit the shopping district again. If they went back there anyway.
“Now, what to do?”
She completely missed the way he had turned his head and had no clue that he had been sniffing out the scent as it were. Of course it was probably for the best that he didn't tell her about the other two wolves. With a sigh however she pulled her handbag up so she could dig about for a moment before pulling out a rather crumpled pack of cigarettes and a small lighter. Despite everything she was still craving a cancer stick and although she was quite strong willed when it came to most things this was the one habit she hadn't quite gotten rid of yet...although she was much better than she had been.
"Sorry." She gave him a sheepish smile before pulling the stick out of the packet and lighting it and then putting the other items back into her bag. Oh. The nicotine tasted vile but she was oh so glad to have it. She felt guilty of course but it couldn't be helped.
"I dunno," She shrugged in reply to his question as she made quick work of her fag before getting rid of it, still feeling guilty but feeling a bit better all the same.

As much as Morrison hated the idea of Lexi carrying around her Sai, he wished that she had them on her right then. If she had, he would have turned around right then and confronted the two wolves following them, which of course wouldn’t have turned out well for him. He would have had his human on his side to help if she had her weapons, since he was sure that she was a lot more confident when they were in her hands. Unfortunately, she was pretty much unarmed and although he had his gun on him, he wasn’t the best shot and firearms could easily jam and stop working. Plus, gun shots would draw more attention to the situation than he would want.
It was difficult, but the wolf did manage to ignore the two hiding just around the corner for the most part, figuring that if a fight was going to come then he would wait for an attack, even if that would be to their advantage at first. Today was supposed to have been just a normal day out on the town, just the two of them, doing whatever it was they pleased. Well, nothing could be completely normal with the two of them, that wasn’t how they tended to live, but they could still aim for that. And up until leaving the coffee shop, the day had been pretty pleasant, and might continue to be if they were left alone.
Another slight glance back told him that the two wolves were still out of sight and he turned his attention back on Lexi just as she started pulling a pack of cigarettes out of her bag. He gave her a look of disapproval, yet said nothing, knowing that she was try to quit and that it wasn’t that easy, he’d had a hard enough time decreasing the amount that he drank every day.
”Sorry,”
He shrugged in response, giving her smile that indicated that he really didn’t mind all that much, and watched her for a moment as she started smoking. After a moment he turned his head to look away, feeling a bit odd staring at her like that, only glancing over when she gave him a half-hearted"I dunno," as a response his question. “I suppose,” he started, watching a girl who was walking on the other side of the street, “we could go back to my place.” The man looked over at her with a smile. “I don’t think we have anything else to do here,” he said.
Morrison waited for Lexi to toss her cigarette away before wrapping an arm around her waist again and starting to lead her down the street, if only to get them away from their stalkers. Hopefully, the weres would have some sense and not follow after, but if they did, he would be keen on getting back to his car as fast as possible and taking an alternate route home so that it wouldn’t be so easy for them to find the place again… even if his apartment was in the middle of Clerkenwell.

Lex was more than happy to get the rush of nicotine that came with bringing the cigarette to her lips and despite her initial feeling of guilt for doing so was really quite enjoying having it in such a long time. She had always known it would be hard quitting but as she had decided to quit everything in one go she had found it harder than most to deal with the loss of such an addictive thing. The drugs hadn't been such a problem thanks to never having gotten to the point of complete dependency but she had been smoking for years and that was something no one could give up straight away. She could be forgiven for this one if nothing else and besides, the pack in her bag had lasted the last two weeks so that had to count for something right?
Eventually of course he spoke and she finished the stick and flicked it away. “we could go back to my place.”. That was a very good plan except for the part where his friend was going to be there and she hated being within even hearing distance of the man- being cooped up in the same apartment, even if it were in different rooms was enough to put her on edge. Even with Morrison there with her. Pity there wasn't anywhere else they could go to be alone...her place had Bert and that was never a good idea getting the two men together and she couldn't be around Iivan any more than she needed to be. Maybe she should move? The idea was a good one and one she had often considered but she simply didn't make enough to get a new place and although her family home had never been sold on thanks to the murder of her parents and siblings there was no way in hell she was going to move in there, again for the same reason it had never been sold in the first place.
As he wrapped his arm around her she relaxed into his hold as she pondered their situation and their plans for the rest of the day. honestly, one would think it would be easy planning a day with your loved one but it was really hard! She had never expected it to be easy of course but it was getting daft not being able to think of things to do together and they had been a couple long enough for it not to feel so weird going out together.
"Sounds like a good plan," She finally agreed, deciding that her fear of Iivan was nothing compared to the fireworks of Bert and Morrison running into one another. The two managed civility to a certain degree but she didn't really want to push such a thing two days in a row...and she didn't want to get the lecture of running off after the show without either a goodbye or getting her overnight bag. He was gonna be pissed enough without adding her boyfriend into the mix.
Katerina and her fellow wolf had remained far away from the couple and as they looked to be leaving the red haired wolf held back the male with a shake of her head. "Ve know where she lives...there is no point in following right now." Her eyes remained narrowed as she glared into the back of Morrison. "Besides, ve also know who he is and that is more than enough to satisfy our Alpha." She pushed away from the wall and turned away from the couple before making her way briskly to the car they had traveled in. They would go back and report on everything properly before they were given their orders. Either way she would be getting her hunt much sooner than she had ever anticipated.
She would enjoy the taste of blood from this girl.
