Morrison glanced down at his lap as Lexi took the pills from him. He tried to tell himself that he hadn't seen her with her hand on her stomach, but it had been too obvious for him to ignore. They should have had a talk before he just went ahead and assumed what was best for the woman, but there had been a moment of panic for him. He was sure that he'd be an absolute shit father, and that was partly from personal experience he supposed, so it was very hard for him to imagine really being able to care about a child, even his own. That wasn't so say he wouldn't support Lexi at all if she did have one, it would just be an incredible strain on their relationship. It was not the right moment for any of that. Perhaps in a few years, if they were still together, but not until then.
Though this rationale didn't make Morrison feel any better for causing Lexine so much distress. And there was only so little he could do by telling her sorry again. They had just made one little mistake and now the whole evening felt ruined. This is why he hated this whole business with loving someone, if one little thing went wrong, then suddenly everything fell to pieces. He didn't know how exactly he was going to handle it, but part of it would be telling the woman about his son and his family, feeling like that was keeping too much from her. And at least then she would understand why he was so frightened about the prospect of children.
With slight sigh, the wolf lifted his head to look over at the human when she placed the bottle back down. He smiled to her softly, a bit sadly, and closed his eyes slightly when she leaned over to kiss his lips. "Lets go home,"
To him, it almost sounded as if she were on the verge of tears, but he didn't say a thing about it, wanting to get her home before any real emotional break down. "Alright Lexi," he said quietly, looking her in the eyes then reaching over to grab up her hand. He held it in place for a few moments, squeezed her fingers and then let her go so that he could start the car. He really hoped that Iivan wouldn't be home, and if he was, Morrison was half thinking that he'd yell at him and get his ass out the door. The two of them just needed to be alone, and they wouldn't exactly be alone even if the other wolf were stuck up in his room.
After a few minutes, he was pulling up in front of the apartments, glad to be at home where everything was familiar. He turned off the car then turned to Lexi and took up her hand, kissing her fingers, though it was more for his own comfort than hers. As he let her hand back down, he smiled to her then turned to get his jacket and tie so that he could step out of the car. While waiting for the woman to join him, he checked that everything was with him, especially the small box that he'd hidden in his pocket.
When Lexi came over to him, he pulled her into a strong side hug, leaning over and kissing the top of her head then pressing his lips to her ear. "I love you," he whispered before kissing her temple. He had to make sure that she remembered that, and that he would stand by her no matter what so that some of the fears she was obviously harboring could be taken away. Squeezing her arm gently, he guided her into the building and started up the stairs. He was silent for about two flights before he just couldn't hold his tongue anymore. "You know," he said, loosening his grip a little so Lexi could actually look up at him and he could look at her, "you still look incredibly beautiful." Despite her hair having been pulled down and the hem of her dress being stained, she did honestly look phenomenal to him, even if she didn't agree.
Walking up the last few flights of stairs, Morrison kept his hand securely on Lexi's waist, pressing his fingers into her skin, afraid for whatever reason that she might want to run away from him. It was a silly thought, but it was slightly understandable since he felt that he'd hurt her or upset her, and it was worse when he thought of what he still had to tell her. Maybe he would even leave that conversation for tomorrow; it was getting late and he couldn't speak for Lexi, but he was incredibly tired. He actually felt a little more tired once they got to his apartment door, the thought of having a bed so close making his body start to shut down. Though he stopped right outside the door and looked down at the human. "I don’t think Iivan is home," he told her, looking down to her, "but if he is, I can as him to leave." He didn't want to unaware of the possibility that she might have a surprise meeting with the other wolf, so this way, at least she might be less fearful of anything happening.
After placing a soft kiss to her cheek, he pulled the keys out of his pocket then opened the door. He stepped inside, pulling Lexi slightly behind, and listened for a few moments, sniffing around. Iivan wasn't home for the night. Morrison let the woman go to close the door and lock it then rejoined her, standing at her hip. "We're alone," he sighed, smiling to her softly.

Lexi was glad when he pulled the car into the parking space for his apartment and as soon as she was able to she was out of the car and breathing in the somewhat fresh air, welcoming the slight chill as it hit her still too warm body although she shivered slightly as her skin cooled down a little more than she had thought it would. As he directed her to the entrance she was quite happy to get back into the warmth although the cold air had been enough to knock a bit of sense back into her brain and for that she was grateful- she couldn't keep worrying about what might or might not happen...if she did she would never have a moments peace.
"You know, you still look incredibly beautiful."
She turned her head to look at him from beneath her blonde and pink curls and frowned at him although she didn't reply with her usual comment since she had rather given up on trying to convince him that she most certainly was not beautiful or attractive or any other variation of the word. He was as stubborn as she was and it was just easier to roll her eyes at him although a small blush still graced her cheeks and she reached up and tugged lightly on the collar of his shirt a small and cheeky grin gracing her lips as she did so. "You don't look too bad yourself." She looked down at herself and shrugged. "I scrub up well enough." When the need called for it...she hoped he didn't expect her to dress like this all the time!
She was more than aware of the tighter than normal hold on her waist but she made no comment on it, not wanting to draw attention to it since she wasn't hundred per cent sure that he was even aware he was doing it. Luckily it wasn't too tight a hold or she would have said something since she wondered sometimes if he realised his own strength compared to her somewhat fragile human one....but she didn't really worry about it since it neither hurt and she rather enjoyed him being a little possessive with her- made her feel loved and wanted.
"I don't think Iivan is home, but if he is, I can as him to leave."
She stared at the still closed door for a moment before shaking her head slightly. She didn't care in the least if Iivan was home as long as he stayed in her direct sight and more than a good few paces away- if he did that then could was perfectly fine with him staying...besides she couldn't very well kick him out of his own home now could she? That would be rude and whilst she didn't have the manners of a lady she knew how to behave.
Once he had let them into the apartment and closed the door behind him she once again rubbed at her arm in discomfort as she wasn't really sure what was going to happen now...were they going to argue? She didn't want to argue and there didn't seem much point in it since she was sure he had his reasons for doing what he had done and besides, it had been her ultimate decision that had led her to take the pill- he hadn't forced her in any way. Besides she was getting to the point now where she had convinced herself that it was for the best- there was no way she could look after a child! It had been silly to even think about the possibility although she couldn't help but admit to herself that given the chance she would happily accept it if it happened. If it happened.
Besides she couldn't deny that despite having this little mishap it had been highly pleasurable and it was probably because there had been that little moment where she hadn't thought of the possibility of being pregnant...she had only thought about how right it had been to not have that little bit of rubber stopping something that was meant to be so natural. Or maybe she was making excuses but that was how she felt...
"We're alone," His voice broke through her thoughts and she realised he was next to her once again and for a moment she just looked at him before turning her body to him completely and wrapped her arms around him, leaning up so she could place a tender kiss onto his lips.
"I love you," She told him as she pulled back slightly, allowing her lips to pass over his own. "And despite everything that was the best sex ever." She did not include slow love making in that comment since that was wonderful in its own time and place....passionate sex was completely different. Her hands moved from his waist so that one could wrap into his hair and the other lightly ran over his face before settling on cupping it. A smile played over her lips as she looked at him- once again revealing the soft side of herself that only he got to see. "You silly man...I'm not upset." It wasn't really a lie per say... she wasn't upset now that the shock of everything had run its course.

Perhaps the night would turn out alright after all. Smiling softly, Morrison curled his arms around Lexi to pull her closer as they kissed. Maybe they could do with a shower before going to sleep, he actually wouldn’t mind a little love making, if it was careful and gentle (he was still slightly tender from earlier). And if the woman wasn’t still freaking out about earlier, than there was no reason for him to do so either.
"I love you, and despite everything that was the best sex ever."
The wolf grinned for a second, sighing as he remembered just how wonderful their little stint in the car really had been. “Love you too,” he said, sliding his hands down her back to rest above her bum, “you’re very right though, that... You’re just...” He trailed off and sighed again, not sure the words to use that would express how awesome she had been. Instead, he settled for just smiling and staring at her with soft sort of expression. His gaze shifted and his head tilted to the side when Lexi’s hand came up to his hair and the other held his cheek. His own hand that was on her back moved over her one hand on his cheek.
"You silly man...I'm not upset."
With a soft chuckle, Morrison moved her hand over onto his lips to kiss her soft fingers. “I don’t think you’ve ever called me silly before,” he mumbled, kissing her hand again. He could have said that was glad about that or something along those lines, but I figured they should lighten the mood. “I don’t think I’m silly though,” he continued, letting go of her hand then leaning in to kiss her lips.
“You know what I haven’t gotten to do in a while?” he said as he pulled away. He smiled down at her, winked, then bent slightly and swept her up into his arms. Bouncing her a bit so that she was more comfortable to hold, he moved through the entrance to the sitting room. Once there, he turned to the couch and gently placed Lexi down on the cushions. As he dragged his arms out from under her, he leaned in and kissed her slowly, his hands eventually coming to rest on the sofa on either side of her, him still standing over her.
“You wait right there, cutey,” he grinned at her after pulling out of the kiss. He pecked her lips again before grabbing up his coat that had fallen onto the couch then walking to the back rooms. He started unbuttoning his shirt when he got into the hallway and by the time he was in his room, he was pulling the fabric from his back. Glancing behind him to make sure that the woman hadn’t followed him, he dropped the jacket, shirt and tie onto his bed then reached into his pants pocket for the box that was still there. Morrison looked around the room for a moment then moved to his closet, opened it, and tucked the pregnancy test into the blankets that he hadn’t taken out since last winter. He wasn’t sure how Lexi would have reacted to finding out that this was something else he’d bought at the store, but he wouldn’t worry about that now.
Remembering that he’d left his human sitting out in the living room, he grabbed a dress shirt out of his closet then went to his wardrobe for his pajama pants. He let both of these fall on the ground so that he could yank of his pants, thinking briefly that he had to get them dry cleaned, before pulling on the pajamas just as quickly. Dressed as fully as he would like to be, he snatched the shirt from off the floor and made his way back to Lexi.
“I think you’d rather be wearing this,” the wolf said as soon as he’d turned the corner into the sitting room, holding up the white shirt in front of him. Shaking the shirt playfully, he walked all the way to the sofa then dropped down next to the woman. Letting his head fall into the cushions, he looked over at her and draped the cloth over her lap, smiling. Yes, he did love that dress of hers, but it had gotten stained and he would love her even better out of it, though he still had to give her the option of having something to wear; that was only sensible.

“I don’t think you’ve ever called me silly before,”
She stuck her tongue out at him slightly as he kissed her fingers and she couldn't help but shake her head and laugh slightly as she did so. "I've never had a reason to before," She commented lightly, "Your supposed to be the responsible one." She lightly poked at him as she teased him, glad that the stressed atmosphere from the car hadn't transferred into the apartment as she wasn't sure she would have wanted to stay with him tonight if had done so- she was much more comfortable with him when things were easy and light like there were now...although that was only something she showed only to him. She wasn't about to show everyone this side of her since no one else deserved to see it.
“You know what I haven’t gotten to do in a while?”
She didn't have a chance to ask him what he meant before she felt his hands on her and as he dipped down she gave a yelp as she was lifted into his arms and she had to throw her arms around his neck as he bounced her about. As he carried her through to the sitting room she gave him a glare from beneath her hair and a small pout settled onto her lips as she looked at him. "I hate it when you do that." She told him as she was set down onto the sofa although there was no bite to her words proving that she was only saying it to teasingly complain about his treatment of her...Although she didn't approve of him carrying her about all he time she did enjoy the feeling of being looked after and she wouldn't trade for anything.
“You wait right there, cutey,”
The kiss he had given her hadn't been nearly long enough and most certainly didn't excuse him from calling her that! As he strode off towards where his bedroom was she glared at his back before calling out to him, "I am not cute!" Although she had no reply as he disappeared from her sight and she crossed her arms with a huff as she looked about her- now what was she meant to do? And why had he just left her on the sofa without even asking her if she wanted to do something? Men! It apparently didn't even matter if they were bloody immortal they were all the same!
As he came back into the room a few moments later however she had settled herself into the sofa, drawing her legs up to curl beneath her body as she made herself a little more comfortable and she turned to look at him, her eyes looking over his now pajama clad form and for a moment she was vaguely disappointed- she quite liked him in that suit....
“I think you’d rather be wearing this,”
He dangled a white shirt in front of her as he sat next to her on the sofa and she eyed it for a moment before she took it off him, only to drop it down onto the floor as she turned her attention to the male next to her. Shaking her head at him she moved so that was sitting on his lap where she could easily kiss him if she chose to do so and tugged at his clothing. "You took away my fun..." She whined softly at him, "I really liked that suit. I'd have enjoyed taking it off you."
She flicked at his nose in retaliation for such a crime against herself before leaning in for a kiss- first pecking his nose before pressing against his lips where she proceeded to give him a firm kiss although it wasn't nearly as lust filled as back in the car since she was starting to feel a little tired herself. It had been a really long week and she would be more than happy to just crawl into bed with him, curl up and sleep for a good few solid hours. Who knew that playing the piano for so long would be so tiring? Although it was probably the fact that she had barely slept a wink all week thanks to not being next to him when she had gone to bed.
Finally she pulled back from the kiss. "I'd much rather you help me change." She told him with a grin. "This dress is pretty but its a pain to get off all by myself."

Morrison shot Lexi a slightly disappointed look when she dropped the shirt on the floor. He’d just washed that, and now it was getting all wrinkled on the ground, and besides, he would have rather liked to see her in that shirt. This was pretty much forgotten however when the woman moved over and sat on his lap. A grin spread over his lips and his hands moved down to take a hold of her thighs, pressing his fingers into her skin through the soft fabric.
"You took away my fun... I really liked that suit. I'd have enjoyed taking it off you."
With a soft grunt of indignation, the wolf moved an arm to around her back, grinning up at her. “You already had your fun,” he chuckled, “and you stained my suit, I had to take it off.” He began to lean in to kiss her, but only received a flick on the nose. He snorted softly, an almost wolf-like noise, then pulled back a little. It had been in play, yet he still didn’t appreciate her flicking him, especially since it made him feel like a little dog, which he supposed he sort of was. Though he forgave her for it when she placed her lips to his nose and then his own mouth. He relaxed into the kiss, glad to find that it was very firm and steady, yet was as glad when she pulled away, much preferring to see her face than anything.
"I'd much rather you help me change. This dress is pretty but it’s a pain to get off all by myself."
Raising his eyebrows, Morrison gazed at the human for a few moments, then turned his eyes to survey her body. “What makes you think I’d help you?” he teased, smiling up at her. “I mean, besides that... body underneath.” He stared at her for a little longer, shook his head, then grinned. “Who am I kidding?” he sighed, “I’d love to help you get that dress off.”
The hands on her thighs curled around the fabric over her legs and he pushed the hem of her dress up to her stomach, glancing down and grinning, then letting go so that he could get to the ties at her back. As he got loose each section of her dress, he leaned in to kiss her, holding the kiss once the back of her dress was left entirely open. His hands came to rest over her spine and he pulled her body close to his. There was plenty of desire in his touch, having not felt her skin properly in ages, but he didn’t give her any suggestion that he wanted sex. He was too tired. No, that wasn’t it, he could never be too tired for that, but that’s what he told himself for now.
After a minute, he dragged his lips from hers. “Let’s see what you’re hiding under there,” he said softly, smiling. Slowly, he pulled on the straps of her dress until the garment fell to her hips of its own accord. “Oh my,” he gasped, studying her form. “I may have forgotten just how beautiful you are.” He pecked her lips then sat back, lifting his hands to hold her slender waist. For a while, his mind got stuck just as his eyes did on her chest, and he was very content to just sit and stare. Until a yawn forced his eyes to shut and he looked to her face when they opened again.
“I think we should go back to my room,” he smiled, then tilted his head a bit to the side. “I mean not for anything...” He waved his hand at her for lack of the right word and shook his head. “It’s just that the bed’s a lot comfier and,” he paused to yawn again. “I’m getting sleepy.” He shook his head once more to force it to clear then took a hold of her hands. “Come on then,” he sighed, leading her off of him and making her stand.
Only for a couple of seconds, he stared at her, now that her dress had fallen all the way to her feet, then got up himself, still holding her hand in his. Using her hand to keep her close, he led her back to his room, which was almost necessary since he’d neglected to turn on the hallway lights. Though he did remember to switch on the lights in his bedroom once they entered, which was mostly because he wanted to see Lexi better. He even made a point of looking. Stepping a little ways from her, he let his eyes wander over her for a brief second before walking back up to her and folding her into a strong hug. “I still think you’re cute,” he mumbled, pressing his nose to her forehead.

“What makes you think I’d help you?”
Her slender eyebrow rose as she looked at him, knowing full well that he spoke only in jest since the way he had been all night showed her just how much he wanted her out of the clothing she was wearing...although if she were honest she wanted out of the dress just as much as he did since she was feeling just a little restricted in it. This was not something she would want to wear everyday and she would make herself perfectly clear on that point...tomorrow morning. His next words made her giggle slightly, “Who am I kidding? I’d love to help you get that dress off.”
"Thought you'd see it my way." She commented lightly as his hands moved over her body only to settle at her hips before his fingers wrapped into the dress only to pull it up her legs and settled the fabric around her thighs and she couldn't help but look at him in amusement inwardly thinking he looked quite the pervert staring at her like he was....but she didn't mind since he was hers and she loved him.
As his hands moved up to her back so that he could undo the back of it she was silently praying he would hurry it up since she was more than ready to fall into bed with him- and not in the sex way either, she was completely knackered and the sooner she was undressed the closer they got to going to sleep! Of course as soon as his rough hands were touching her bare back she was arching slightly at the touch. The touch itself was soft yet held a certain firmness that she associated with only him and as he pulled her towards him she was more than willing to comply.
“Let’s see what you’re hiding under there," She rolled her eyes at him at his words and as he pulled the dress down so it pooled at her waist she couldn't help but blush once more, "I may have forgotten just how beautiful you are.” She stared at him for a moment before shaking her head at him. "What am I going to do with you?" She asked him although she was somewhat pleased- and embarrassed- when his eyes continued to stare at her chest for a little longer than necessary. Pervert.
As he yawned she couldn't help but smile in amusement as his eyes closed and she couldn't help but think he looked really very adorable when he did so although she didn't dare tell him as she wasn't really sure he would appreciate it...it might go against his 'manliness' or some other such nonsense. As he suggested going to the bedroom she barely even had time to ask about the shirt before she was being helped to her feet and she shivered slightly as the dress fell down her legs and onto the floor and she had to step out of the garment to be lead down towards the bedroom clad in nothing more than her heels and underwear. She felt ridiculous.
As soon as she was inside the bedroom she felt a little better about being practically naked, putting it down to the fact that at least in here no one was about to walk in on them....the thought that Iivan might have walked in on them in the sitting room made her want to cringe and the thought was something she quickly squashed down so she didn't have to think about it.
Morrison on the other hand was a little different and despite the fact that his staring was enough to make her blush and feel so self conscious that she almost started to rub at her arms again before she forced herself to calm down. He eventually stopped his staring and moved forwards to pull her into a strong hug which she returned whole halfheartedly since she was much better at hugging that being stared at. “I still think you’re cute,”. Well that was enough for her to pull back slightly and glare at him.
"I am not cute!" She retorted with a somewhat horrified look on her face. "And I'm stood here in underwear and heels and you call me that!" Despite her words she had a small smile on her lips as she said it, showing that she wasn't really serious in her words but she still didn't appreciate being called cute in the situation she was currently in. Hell, she would have easily accepted sexy right now! Although it was something she wouldn't admit at any other time.

"I am not cute!"
Morrison told himself not to, but he just couldn't help the huge grin that spread over his face. At least he was able to hold himself back from telling her that she was even cuter with an expression like that.
"And I'm stood here in underwear and heels and you call me that!"
With a soft chuckle, he pulled her in close again and pecked her on the forehead. "What would you prefer I call you?" he asked, still grinning. "How about..." he paused, thinking for a moment, "would you prefer sexy?" He let out a short laugh and placed his hands on her hips. "Sexy Lexi," his grin faded to a sincere smile and his voice grew a little quieter. "my sexy Lexi." A little grin flashed over his lips before he leaned in to kiss her, glad that she had those heels on because she was bit more on his level in them. Although he really didn't want to, he forced himself to pull away from her after a couple of seconds, thinking that it would be best if they actually got into bed now before he fell asleep on his feet.
"You can take off those heels now," he winked to her, pecked her forehead, then unwrapped his arms from around her. Yawning and turning around, he moved to the closet to grab out another shirt, a light blue t-shirt this time. He walked back over to Lexi, who had sat down on the bed to get her shoes off, placed the shirt on her lap then dropped down beside her. He stared at her for a little while, waiting for her to get the shirt on, and once she did, he wrapped his arms about her hips, letting his head fall onto her shoulder.
"You smell nice," he commented quietly, turning his head and sniffing her neck rather obviously. It hadn't really occurred to him, but her smell was one of the things he'd missed about her the most. His bed sheets hadn't even retained her scent for long enough for him to remember. But now they should smell plenty like her until the next time she slept in the bed, which would hopefully not be long at all. Though he supposed he should sleep at her house soon enough as well, just so that Bert would get to seeing him again all the time. And of course so that Lexi could felt a bit more comfortable with her surroundings, and then she wouldn’t always have to wake up so early for work because it was only a few steps away. Only, he'd have to remind himself to bring extra clothes next time he went to her place, just in case his clothes from the day before got too dirty.
"Mmph," Morrison mumbled, lifting his head from the woman shoulder then shaking it. "I could have fallen asleep on you." He smiled over at her, gave her waist a small squeeze then pulled away. Rubbing at his eyes, he got up to close the door then moved back to the bed, but instead of sitting back down next to the human, he went to the head of the bed to yank the sheets back. After clambering in underneath the blankets, he sat up slightly to look down at Lexi. "Come here beautiful," he sighed, patting the pillow next to him then holding out an inviting arm, waiting to drag her against him.

Lexi still didn't appreciate bieing called cute but at least he didn't say it again and she chose to ignore it for the time being...until he said it again anyway. Instead she concentrated on the kiss he gave to her and was more than happy to stay right where she was but it was cut short by him pulling away and she frowned at him as he moved over to his wardrobe where he soon pulled out another shirt for her to pull on- this time a blue one and for a momen t she vaguely wondered what had happened to the pink one she had work last week...she hoped he hadn't thrown it away! She liked the shirt.
"You can take off those heels now,"
She shrugged and moved to the bed so that she could undo the straps holding her shoes on before taking the offered shirt, and once she had undone her bra had pulled the shirt on and slipped her pants off so that she wore only the top. Once this was all done she stretched out slightly and nearly jumped when he wrapped his arm around her waist and she had to settle down in order to let him place his head on her shoulder.
[i"You smell nice," ][/i]
The way he sniffed at her neck was a little weird but she was proud in the fact that she didn't freak out like she might have done at the start of their relationship. Hell, she was proud that she had even started a relationship with someone not human! Once upon a time this whole situation would have made her sick...now she was just glad to have him and wouldn't change it for anything. Although she would be perfectly happy with him not smelling her like that all the time...it was a little 'dog like'.
She was almost afraid he had fallen asleep as he did nothing for a minite or two so when he moved she looked at him with a smile on her face as she watched him blink at her. "I could have fallen asleep on you.". As he pulled away she turned her body to watch him rub at his eyes as he closed the bedroom door before moving over to the bed to pull the sheets back so they could get into it. "I thought you had." She teased as he clambered into the bed only to hold the blankets up for her to do the same.
[/] "Come here beautiful,"[/i]
She rolled her eyes once again before turning her body around completely, bringing her legs up onto the bed before she crawled over towards him before she too slipped beneath the covers where she promptly slipped down so that she was nicely tucked in before tugging the covers down over the both of them. "Am not." She retorted before she moved a little closer to his body, revelling in the warmth he provided for her- a warmth the blankets couldn't give her.
As she settled down with her head on his shoulder she gave a small sigh of contenment. She had missed this so much and despite it only being a week away from him it had felt like it had been months but maybe that was just her being a little clingy but what the hell she loved him and she was allowed her little moments.
"Hm, I missed this..." She closed her eyes, willing sleep to take her away whilst also willing her nightmares not to plague her tonight although they weren't nearly so bad when she was here with him. "I missed you."

Turning on his side, Morrison waited for Lexi to situate herself under the covers before draping an arm over her and curling his fingers into the shirt she wore. "Am not." The wolf grinned to her softly but let her words slide; he'd get her to agree with him eventually and she never really complimented him, so he had to make it up for her.
"Hm, I missed this... I missed you."
Smiling, sighing, and closing his eyes, he tucked the woman's head underneath his chin, glad to finally, completely relax with her in his hold. "I missed you too," he whispered before kissing the top of her head. He lay there for a couple minutes longer until he realized that the lights were still left on. Grunting, he rolled over, pulling his arms away from the human, so he could then sit up and reach over to the lamp at the side of the bed. He strained for a moment to get to the switch then was able to turn it off. With another grunt, he dropped back down to Lexi and curled his arms around her. "G'night," he mumbled, at last letting himself start to drift off into sleep.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
What time was it? Still too groggy from sleep to actual open his eyes all the way, Morrison settled with forcing only one eye opened as he turned slightly to look at the clock. 10 AM already? He hadn’t slept this since the last time he'd been with Lexi, which he supposed made sense. It was even better that it was the weekend and he didn't have to worry at all about rushing around to get ready for work. If he didn't feel like it, he didn't even have to get his normal clothes, which he just might do if he was able to keep his human with him for most of the day.
Although, it would be nice to go out with her for once, to brunch or just to go out on a walk. They'd never spent much time in public as a couple, and it hadn't happened that way on purpose, they just always found themselves locked up together in somebody's room. It wasn't to say that he didn't love their sessions alone, but it would be a nice change to be out and about together, not worrying about if they'd be walked in on. The only problem was that Lexi would have to get some different clothes because while the dress she'd been wearing last night was gorgeous, it had gotten stained, she'd be stared at everywhere she went and he didn’t want the garment to get any dirtier.
Yawning, the wolf finally got his eyes to open and focus so that he could watch the woman sleeping next to him. The way she looked now most definitely garnered her the description of cute, but he supposed that he'd have to keep that to himself. Though it would be hard with the way she had her head tucked into the pillow and how the slight gap between her lips formed a perfect little circle. Damn. He'd always mocked Iivan with calling him cute and everything along those same lines and now he had someone to sincerely call adorable and beautiful and everything and she wouldn't even accept, not even grudgingly as the other wolf did. Oh well, he was at least thankful that the compliments didn't enrage her, and she'd get used to them.
Perhaps he would tell her how cute she was when she woke up, just out of spite. Or not, it might make for a better morning if he kept his mouth shut. Though he'd still have to wait for her to wake up, which should be soon enough since she could never seem to sleep any longer than he did. Yet he still didn't want to wait that long, he wanted to look into those pretty brown eyes again. He supposed that he could always wake her up himself. But instead of saying her name or shaking her like any normal person might do, he lifted a hand to hold the back of her head then kissed her firmly on the lips, hoping that this wouldn't freak her out at all.

Lexi had fallen asleep as soon as Morrison had had stopped moved about the room and as soon as he was back in the bed she was curled back into his side, warm and safe and dead to the world within a few minutes- she was far too tired to even attempt to stay up even if she had wanted to (not that she did).
So it was well into the morning before she entertained any thoughts of waking up- if you can call it that when your still asleep and not at all aware of what was going on around you. Of course she didn't wake up until lips were firmly pressed against her own and as her eyes flew open in surprise she gave a muffled protest at being awakened in such an abrupt manner...although she wasn't complaining about the kiss- never the kiss!- just at being woken up.
She had been having such a good dream...Well, she thought it was a good dream but then again it was also a bad one in the fact that she had been dreaming about a 'normal' life once again- something she had told herself she wouldn't think about if she could help it. She had dreamed about the kids and the pets and a husband. It was a wonderful dream and was much better than any nightmare she might have had but it was something that made her wish they were a normal couple.
As soon as she was awake however she barely remembered the whole specifics of the dream and instead glared at him as he pulled back from her lips. "You couldn't have waited?" She mumbled as she sat up, stretching out as she did so and wincing slightly as her bones cracked as she did so. Hm, she really needed to get back to the gym...she was starting to get all stiff! Not to mention she was convinced that she had put on weight since she had stopped going to the cages to fight it off. Eugh.
"If we had been at mine I could have speared you!" She was of course referring to the fact that she still had her Sai- although she always moved them when he came over to stay in case things got a little heated in bed which was usually the case but she did sleep with them under her pillow when she was alone; a force of habit she had yet to truly break and she just didn't feel comfortable not having them near to her reach.
She looked at him and rolled her eyes, a small smile on her lips, "Idiot," She teased as she shuffled closer to him so she could press her own lips against his in a much more agreeable good morning kiss than the one he had so kindly woken her with although she pulled away after only a moment or two so she could yawn, her hand moving to cover her mouth and the other reaching up to tangle into her already all over the place hair making it twice as worse than it was already and she had to wonder just what she looked like this morning since she had gone to bed with her makeup on....oh lord she must have panda eyes! It was a good thing he had already seen her with makeup and hair everywhere otherwise she would have been more embarrassed about the way she looked.
Bad hair was nothing compared to how she still felt about him seeing her scars. He might not say anything about them but she knew that he saw them much better than anyone else and it worried her that they might be somewhat revolting for him to look at all the time. She was getting used to not rubbing her arms when she was with him but she couldn't help the way she felt...years upon years of abuse left her with more than the physical scarring caused by her brother. But she forced herself not to think about that just yet...although she would need to tell him at some point, she didn't really want to keep secrets from him anymore.

"You couldn't have waited?"
Smiling softly, almost apologetically, Morrison rolled back onto his side of the bed, mumbling a quiet "No," to her back as she sat up. Perhaps he could have waited, just a little longer, but honestly he had found her reaction to his kiss a bit amusing. And adorable, though that was not going to be admitted aloud. Plus, he really did like to tease her and have fun at her expense, and kissing her awake had certainly fit with that. Even so, he was a tiny bit disappointed that she hadn't kissed him back instead; that would have been an even better reaction.
"If we had been at mine I could have speared you!"
And that would have been the worst reaction possible; thank god he didn't keep knives under his pillows. "Well," the wolf said, sitting up next to her then leaning forward to stretch. "that would have hurt a lot, but I heal fast." Sitting straight again, he grinned over at her, briefly wondering how bad it really would hurt to get hit with her Sai. He never wanted to find out though, mostly because it would mean that he fucked up really bad. Though that made him think; kissing her awake hadn't been that bad at all and she'd threatened him (even if she were joking) with the knives, what if he really messed up? It was something to ponder, though he highly doubted that she had any thoughts of hurting him. She was too sweet.
"Idiot,"
The man grinned softly at this. "That's me," he muttered, leaning in to accept the kiss that she so graciously gave him. That was much nicer kiss than the one before, even if it was cut short when she pulled away to yawn. He watched her with an amused little smile, glad that her hair was all tousled and that her make-up had smudged everywhere, making him feel like less of a mess, until he turned away to yawn himself. He knew she was still uncomfortable with his wolf-ishy-ness, and he didn’t want her to have to see his canines this early in the morning. That was why when he shifted to look back at her, he kept a smile on his face instead of grinning like he may have wanted to. It was getting a bit hard to restrain the whole werewolf side of him lately, partly because he the stress he'd felt over not having Lexi around and because he actually hadn't transformed since they'd started going out. This was turning out to be a bit of problem for him since it was one of the longest times he'd gone without hunting and all of that. Hopefully it just wouldn't come out at a bad time.
"So," Morrison sighed, resting his head on the backboard as he looked at Lexi, "breakfast or a shower first?" He thought it over for a second himself before coming to a decision. "Perhaps you could shower while I make breakfast," he smiled, "I mean, I really do love our showers together, but we never get anything done." With a soft wink, he moved over to kiss her, holding it for a good long couple of seconds before slowly pulling away. Though they would definitely have to fit in some love making before he brought her home, if Lexi was feeling up to it.
"Come on then," he said, pushing the covers off of his lap and swinging his legs off of the edge of the bed. "get off that sexy bum." Grinning, he stood completely and reached over to grab a hold of the human's hands then pull her off his side of the bed. "What do you want for breakfast anyway?" he asked, finally dragging her to her feet and holding her against him. "Or, do you just want me to surprise you?"

"I mean, I really do love our showers together, but we never get anything done."
Whilst Lexi did enjoy their sessions in the shower (when they had the time to do so that is) she was in no mood what so ever to do anything quite so vigorous this time in the morning. Thanks to their little stint in the car and the week of practice she didn't have it in her to even think about moving let alone actually doing the action. No, she was rather content to lounge in bed thank you very much. Though it didn't stop her from melting into the kiss when he leaned in for one and she corrected her earlier thoughts...she was quite happy to lounge in bed all day providing he stayed with her.
Pity he had other thoughts and she watched him move off the bed with a slight pout on her lips. "get off that sexy bum." She eyed him for a moment or two as if deciding if he were completely insane for saying such things before deciding that he was indeed completely barmy and she wasn't going to argue with him since it did no bloody good. The damn wolf simply wouldn't give up! Although if she were honest with herself she rather enjoyed the attention he gave to her and she was slowly learning to accept what he said to her with a little grace and very rarely denied it vocally anymore...hey it wasn't a complete change but she was getting there, it was still better than when they had first started out.
He grabbed at her hands and she tried to pull them back- albeit she didn't try very hard- as he pulled her towards the edge of the bed. "I don't wanna..." She whined as she was pulled away from the lovely comfortable bed that she was happy to stay in and as her feet touched the ground she glared from beneath her fringe before her view was blocked by his chest as he pulled her into him, his arms wrapping around her, Ah, she could cope with staying here for now but she didn't think he would want to stand about all day holding her...damn him.
"What do you want for breakfast anyway? Or, do you just want me to surprise you?"
To be honest the thought of breakfast was somewhat appealing but only because she liked watching him cook (and she was still going to get that apron) but the thought of staying in bed was just as appealing and she couldn't help but weigh the two in her head for a moment or so as she considered her options. On the one hand he was cooking for her and that was pretty awesome but she had spent the last week away from him and her rather clingy side was just crying out for a little love and attention and wanted nothing more than to stay in the bed with him and not get out for a day at the very least. She eventually decided to go with the breakfast since she was pretty sure he would get a little weirded out if she tried to do the latter.
"Breakfast sounds alright," She pulled back slightly so she could look at him, "Just surprise me...I don't mind what it is." Like she hadn't already proved she wasn't in the least bit fussy about her food- well, when she ate it anyway- and she had already made it perfectly clear that her favourite breakfast was having him before anything else but since she wasn't really up to that kind of thing just yet she was quite content with pecking his lips and pulling back so she could leave the room, throwing a, "I'll be in the bathroom." Over her shoulder as she did so.
Once in the bathroom she immediately began with the morning rituals of brushing her teeth before stripping down and heading to the shower and as she waited for it to heat up she looked at herself in the mirror, her hands lightly moving over the scars and marks on her body and a frown fixed itself into her face. She hated those marks more than anything in the world but they were a part of her now and that meant she would need to accept them...or at least try to. She would also need to tell him the truth since telling him that her brother was responsible was all well and good but it didn't really explain much of anything...
She stepped into the shower and closed her eyes as the very hot water sprayed over her and she allowed her mind to go blank, or tried to anyway since every time she tried to clear her mind her thoughts were drawn back to telling him what had happened to his own wolf side that she had so selfishly ignored these last few weeks. Whilst she was well used to the canines she was well aware that apart from the last week they had spent every night together since the first time and that meant he hadn't been out hunting and since she doubted he would have gone out with her not talking to him that meant he was suppressing the side of himself that was truly terrifying to herself...and that made her feel terrible. One side of her wished he was a normal human since there was still a part of herself that loathed wolves and vampires and the other just wished him to be comfortable around her...as long as she didn't need to know about the particulars of his hunting.
They really needed to site down and have a talk. There was a lot of things that needed discussing and she wasn't really sure she actually wanted to dig that deep but knew she had no other choice if this whole relationship was going to work. She of course ignored the evens of last night in this little epiphany since she didn't really want to think about what could have been if she hadn't taken that pill...she had made her mind up on the matter and that was that but this was a little different and needed to be done as soon as possible...
God she hated it when things got confusing! Life was rather simple back when she lived only to fight another day.

Morrison had ignored Lexi's whining when he dragged her off of the bed and only smiled down at her when she looked up to him with that little pout on her lips. There was just no way that he was going to let her sit in bed all day. Not that it wasn't incredibly tempting to do so, since the sheets were so warm and the mattress was so soft and he supposed that his feet were a little sore... But he digressed. He just thought that it would be best for the two of them to actually make something out of the day, though he would stay with Lexi if she preferred to sit in the house the rest of the day after breakfast instead of walking about. It was really just a matter of staying with her the entire rest of the day and making up for lost time.
Then, did it really make sense that he was asking her to take a shower while he was cooking, meaning that he would have to leave her alone later to shower on his own? Perhaps not, but that was how it was going to happen. And really, what was five minutes alone? They could both handle that.
"Breakfast sounds alright, just surprise me...I don't mind what it is."
Turning his head down to look at the woman now that she had pulled away slightly, he smiled and nodded, lifting a hand to ruffle her blonde hair. It was a welcome change, this new hair color of hers, mostly since it seemed so much more natural to him. Even if there were those soft pink streaks in it, most of it was that beautiful golden color, and it was quite an improvement over the bright pink that it had been before. He wouldn't comment on it though, not wanting her to think that he'd hated her old hair color since that would leave the door open for her to wonder if he hated anything else about her. But he didn't hate a thing about her, not even those scars which he was sure she thought were completely disfiguring, they were just a part of her and he'd come to accept that. And, he did find things about her truly beautiful, despite her insistence that he was full of shit.
"I'll be in the bathroom."
Morrison blinked as she pulled away, then shook his head and watched her go, a faint smile on his lips. Well, he supposed that he was free to make breakfast now. Heaving a deep sigh, he moved into the hallway just as he heard the bathroom door close and made his way to the kitchen. He hoped that fridge was still stocked with the usual and that he didn't have to go shopping soon, otherwise, he wouldn't be able to make the best breakfast. Lexi surely wouldn't mind a mediocre meal, she hadn't had to cook it anyway, but he wanted to impress her and it had been a while since he'd actually had a proper meal in the morning.
Thankfully, he found all the usual items in the refrigerator, there were even a few strange purchases that Iivan had made, but he wasn't going to touch any of that, not even the very tempting slab of beef that was sitting behind the milk. After a few trips between the fridge and the cupboards for bowls and ingredients, he had everything laid out on the counter. Though he then realized that he'd run out of space to prepare anything and that it would have been a better idea to heat up a pan on the stove before anything else. Perhaps he would have benefited from thinking this through a little better, but dammit, he preferred to live spontaneously! If he didn't, he wouldn’t have ever started going out with Lexi, and it that was going wonderfully in his mind.
After a few more minutes, Morrison had a bowl of sliced fruits sitting in the fridge so that it wouldn’t start to go bad and had an omelet cooking in a pan. It wasn't the fanciest breakfast in the world, but it was decent enough, and filling. Lexi would appreciate it nonetheless, which he was glad for. He loved being able to do things for her, liked feeling useful, as if he were helping. Although, if he thought about, he had helped (and was helping) the human quite a great deal. She would have never stopped going to the cages or performed in that concert without him in her life. He was sure that she wasn't even using anymore and she'd cut down on smoking. She'd helped him in a way too. He noticed that since they'd started dating, he was less angry and he'd been eating better, meaning that he'd gained back much of the weight he'd lost while grieving Meadhbh. And, it was rare that he would think about his old friend more than once a day anymore, half of the time, even the dog tags that he kept hidden under his shirt went unnoticed. He really loved Lexi for all that and as he finished up with the large omelet, he made up his mind to kiss the hell out of her once she was out of that bathroom.
Setting his spatula off to the side, he pushed that pan off the hot burner so it would stop cooking the eggs and turned off the stove. He then went to a cupboard to get out plates and cups and placed those on the kitchen island. He'd always wished that he could put a proper dining table in the apartment, but even with it being so large, he just didn't know where it would fit. The bar was fine though, it wasn't as if he ever had people over for fancy home cooked dinners and it seemed sort of sweet when it was just him and his human eating together at it. Though for now, it would just be him. Not wanting to get out the milk or fruit until Lexi was ready to eat, Morrison took a seat on one of the stools and leaned forward to rest his elbows on the counter, staring at a cupboard door, waiting patiently.

Lexi was taking her time in the shower but not because she wanted to stay away from the man but because she felt like she needed to scrub herself just a little more than usual. For some reason she felt dirty, unclean and it made her skin crawl but why she felt like that was rather unknown to her since there were many reasons for her to feel dirty and although there was only what had happened last night as the most recent of those incidents it was also one of many drops in the ocean of her life.
As she stole some of the shampoo that was on the side (desperately hoping that it was Morrion's) she scrubbed at her scalp a little harder than necessary although it didn't bother her too much and caused no severe discomfort. Why did she feel like this? The whole pill thing had been nothing to get worked up over, she had made her peace with the whole thing so that couldn't be the reason...no, there had to be something that caused her to want to be extra clean this morning over all her other mornings. Maybe it was because she had been lieing to her partner for the last week or maybe it was because she had been using again (which she had promised herself she wouldn't). Must be that. Combined with last night and the previous week and her mystery illness she had every reason to be drowning in guilt although she tried her best not to let it get to her too much.
Except for the using bit. She certainly hadn't gone out of her way to buy the junk and had it been any other week she would have flat out refused, saying that she was living a good and somewhat honest life now but these things happened and thankfully it was a drug that didn't require the usage of a needle so the wolf wasn't likely to tell unless he got a taste of her blood which was really highly unlikely...she would still probably own up to it of course in aid of her being good and all but it wasn't something she was proud of. Damn it. And she would need to apologise again for ignoring him for so long, it had nearly killed her to do it but it was a surprise and for the most part it had gone rather well.
By the time she had finished the shower and gotten back to the bedroom she had made her mind up completely and utterly that today was the day she was going to tell him the truth about everything. She would tell him about her brother and the way he had treated her family -and not just leaving it at the cutting part- and how she had found her family on that terrible day...the day where she had left them alone with no notice at all. The day she should have died as well. The thought of talking about it sent shivers through her being and she wrapped the towel a little closer around herself as she grabbed a clean shirt from his wardrobe.
She didn't really want to relive it but it plagued her mind from morning to night and despite sleeping better sharing a bed with Morrison she still had the nightmares and the constant reminder of her scars was something she could never get rid of but perhaps sharing her pain would relieve it some? She hadn't spoken about that day ever and despite it being only a little over a year ago the pain and horror was still fresh in her mind. She needed to tell him and soon otherwise the guilt of keeping it from him would eat her alive.
It was as she was pulling the shirt onto her still slightly damp body that she coughed- although not as violently as usual- and she grimaced as her throat burned. Ow. She really needed to get to a doctor....this cough was hurting more and more and she even felt a little light headed and that was something that had never happened before now. Which meant this illness was starting to get worse. If he knew that he would have her packed off to hospital before she could even argue the matter and she loathed hospitals with a fiery passion.
She fought all these thoughts down however and made her way to the kitchen where she found the wold sitting on a stool at the breakfast bar and she couldn't help but smile at his slightly serious expression. He looked adorable! She padded up behind him and wrapped her arms around him, her damp hair creating a dark stain on her lighter coloured shirt. Or his shirt if you wanted to get technical about ownership.
Pecking him on the cheek she then moved around slightly so he could see her better without having to crick his neck in the process. "Hey,"

Sometimes Morrison was very glad that he couldn’t be in Lexi’s thoughts. Though he wasn’t always sure what she thought about, he knew it wasn’t the most pleasant thing. She often seemed distracted when they were together, and when he’d ask her what was wrong (because she was very bad at hiding the worry that crept into her eyes) she would just say that it was nothing and kiss him to get him to shut up. Usually, he didn’t mind this, since kissing was better than anything and it lead to even nicer things, but he needed to know what she was thinking eventually! He had a vague idea; that it was of her family, her illness, their relationship, though he was completely clueless as the specifics and those were the important points. When the time was right, he’d ask her about all of this, unless she spoke up first, then he’d just listen, lend her comfort if she needed it.
The wolf was sure that wasn’t going to be this morning however; it was the first time they’d spent peacefully alone together in a week, why would you want to mess with that? He would be more than content to eat breakfast with his human and chat a bit, see where the rest of the day took them. That sounded like a perfect day to him, and absolutely stress free too.
When Lexi moved out of the hallway toward the kitchen, Morrison lifted his head from the hands they were resting in, yet he didn’t turn to look at her, hearing her slow footsteps as if she were trying to sneak up on him. His expression didn’t even change when she was right behind him and wrapped her arms about his waist. Finally a smile broke on his lips as she kissed his cheek and he turned slightly to look down at her now that she was standing somewhat at his side. "Hey,"
Grinning softly, the man turned all the way to face Lexi then dropped out of his seat to stand beside her. Without a word of response, he wrapped his arms around her shoulders then pulled her in to kiss her deeply. His hands bunched up in the shirt she wore for a moment or two before he slowly let her go and pulled away. “Well then,” he sighed, holding her back a little to see her better, "I've got breakfast ready." He grinned, pecked her lips and let her go with one hand to pat the stool he'd been sitting on, prompting her to take a seat there instead. Completely removing his arms from her, he turned around to go to the fridge for the milk and fruit. He then poured them both of glass of milk, placed the bowl of fruit between their plates on the bar, then grabbed up the pan from the stove.
"I hope you like eggs," he smiled up at the woman, using the spatula to move of portion of the omelet onto her plate and then sliding the rest of it onto his own plate. After placing the pan back on the stove, letting it cool off, he walked around the island to take a seat on the stool next to Lexi, but stopped half way when he realized that he hadn't gotten any silverware. Why did he always forget that? It wasn't as if he ate with his hands all the time, he supposed he was just too keen on getting back to the woman. Sighing and shaking his head in amusement, he swiveled around to go back to the drawer where the cutlery was held. Now with two forks in hand, he moved over to his human and sat down beside her, handing over her own fork with a slightly apologetic smile. "I must be getting forgetful," he told her, twisting his fork in his fingers, "but at least I remember how to make a decent omelet." He looked up at her with a grin then glanced down at her plate. "Try it," he said, gesturing at the omelet with his fork. He wasn't exactly sure how it had turned out, but it looked to be edible in the least.
