It didn’t occur to Morrison that Lexi was in any sort of ‘mood’. He was, well, he could be, easily, but he thought that it would be best if he stayed all sweet and loving for tonight. Was he supposed to think differently? The woman had almost been beaten to death and now he was taking care of her. Most normal people wouldn’t assume that sex would be on anyone’s mind in that situation. She wasn’t most normal people however and perhaps her own outfit was getting to her. Though it could simply be that it was him getting to her, he had that sort of effect on some women.
He only started to clue in when she turned to smile at him at his mentioning of her pants being too tight. A grin played across his expression for a moment and he shifted his own body around when she turned to face him completely, pulling one of his legs underneath him and letting the other fall off the edge of the bed. "You are such a pervert..." Another grin flashed over Morrison’s lips and he lifted his eyebrows in a softly questioning expression. “Yah?” he asked, “noticing your legs makes me pervert, huh?” No, he thought, it made him a typical man. He couldn’t help but see that Lexi had very nice legs and he was glad that she was showing them off so much in all that leather. "I guess it’s a good thing you’re my pervert." While he didn’t appreciate being referred to as Lexi’s possession, it was alright in this context; he wasn’t going to go off somewhere to be some other girl’s “pervert”.
“Lucky you,” he sighed, only half-seriously. His voiced had trailed off a little when Lexi began to lean in and he moved into the kiss only slightly, letting her take control, which she did. It was a welcome surprise at feeling that need in her lips and he finally understood that she would not be content with just sitting around all night with him. As she broke away from the kiss, the wolf sat back, a slightly crooked smile plastering itself on his lips.
"It’s not everyday I get rescued by a large Irish wolf....my hero.”
Morrison chuckled softly, ignoring the sarcastic tone in her voice and concentrating more on the words that she had said. He liked to be called large, Irish, wolf, a hero. It suited him, he thought, and if she thought so too, then he was happy to let her call him that. And he especially liked that she acknowledged that he’d done her some good in helping her, it was what he’d been trying to do from the very beginning.
“I hope it’s not everyday,” he mumbled, shaking his head softly and glancing down at Lexi’s thighs. “We should get these pants off though,” he said, looking up to the woman's face and reaching out to tickle her knee, "they do look incredibly uncomfortable." Morrison leaned over to kiss Lexi quickly before pulling away and scooting back, grabbing up her legs under the knees and bringing them with him. He slowly pulled her legs up onto his lap then began to yank at the pants’ bottom hem, getting them off over her feet so that the rest would be easier. Reaching up as high as he could, he took a hold of the fabric then pulled hard so that the pants slid off her waist and out from under her bottom. The rest was easy enough, and soon he was dropping the pants off the side of the bed.
His hands drifted onto her legs and he looked up to meet her gaze, slowly running his fingers up and down her skin. “Better?” he asked with a smile, squeezing her claves gently. There was no way she could think that he didn’t want her body any less than usual, it was just that now she had given him permission, in a way, he could go on ahead and start with the seducing. Not that he needed to do so. Caring little for what Lexi’s answer to his question had been, Morrison bent over and placed his lips to the skin of the woman’s shin. He began to lift back up but he kissed her leg again, higher this time, and continued to kiss up her leg until he reached to just over his knee. There, he stopped, resting his lips on her soft skin before coming back up to plant a soft kiss on the human’s mouth.
For a little while, he stared at her, their faces very close to one and another’s, then he relaxed back and grabbed up the pants that were starting to fall onto the floor. “Do you want these on?” he asked, holding them up a bit, almost sure that she would say no.

She didn't need to read his mind to know that he enjoyed being spoken about in such a way, hell, it probably inflated his ego more than needed but it was true in some ways...he was her hero. She just didn't want him to always have to save her since it offended her fighters instinct.
[i“I hope it’s not everyday,”][/i] He spoke softly and she almost had to strain to hear him but as he said it she gave a very unladylike snort as she looked over him. "As if," She retorted with a small roll of her eyes. "I'm a big girl." She did not want him barging in to save her every time something went wrong...it was embarrassing!
If she didn't know any better she would accuse him of looking forward to the task of it. He seemed awfully keen to get the damn things off and a little tiny part of her was glad that he was...it would have been interesting taking them off herself in front of him and she thought he would have taken it the wrong way, but this was a lot better. Or it would have been if he hadn't yanked her legs up onto his own and she gave a small squeak of indignation as he did so. As he pulled the tight fabric down off her legs she couldn't help but feel rather humiliated...this was so embarrassing! He could have done it in a much more romantic way! Or even a desire ridden one! Men.
“Better?”
Well, her trousers were off at least but it didn't stop her glaring it him in annoyance. Not that it made any difference since he wasn't even looking at her face anymore, instead he was bending over her and his lips were soon pressed against her leg and her eyes closed slightly as she released the breath she hadn't even realised she had been holding. Oh, that felt sinfully good and as the kisses moved higher up her leg she was almost tempted to ask him just how far he was planning to go. Until he stopped and pulled away anyway. Anything she might have said was cut off when his lips pressed against hers and she stopped her thought processed where it was...she wanted to enjoy this as much as possible and thinking over it was not helping.
As he pulled away he stared at her for a moment or two before pulling away completely and she watched as he grabbed for the pajama bottoms before they fell onto the floor. “Do you want these on?” She considered it for a moment or two- did she really need them on? The top he had given her was a little large on her somewhat small frame and thanks to it hanging off her shoulders a little made her think that if she stood up it would cover her just barely and she was still wearing her underwear so she wasn't totally exposed. She finally shook her head with a small shrug. "I'm ok," Besides the damn things would probably end up on the other side of the room if either of them had their own way....
Wasn't it funny how one thing led to another? Not even a few hours ago she had been in a fight to the death, had almost lost her life and had been saved by this great lug....and now they were in his room having just had an argument and more than ready to fall into bed again. Just once she would like to meet up with him and have a 'normal' day. Maybe she should ask him for a date or something- thats what normal people had wasn't it? Normal girls? She could ask...But maybe later since she didn't know how he would take to being asked such a thing.
Although that brought up all sorts of issues she still had about the whole relationship. They didn't know anything about one another past their names...she didn't know what he did for a living although judging from this place and his car he was a high earner and she knew only about two of his friends. Although he didn't know much about her either...he knew where she worked and that her only guardian was a slightly overweight overprotective bloke who rented out his apartment to her and that her brother had been abusive. She didn't know if he did wining and dining, or if he was willing to have a long term relationship, nor did she know if she was willing to share the information he might eventually want to know.
How could she explain what had happened in her family? The pain that came with it? The pain that gripped her heart now just thinking about it....

Morrison was glad to hear that Lexi was alright without the pajama pants on. He liked her better with just the shirt and panties as it was, though he was a bit disappointed that the shirt covered her up so much. As he remembered it, the t-shirt hadn’t been quite so large on Meadhbh, still loose, but it would have barely made it halfway down her hips. Though, she hadn’t worn it more than once or twice, so he could be remembering it wrong. He would have loved to see her in it again…
Fuck, what was he doing? Here he was, sitting on his bed with a very beautiful girl and all he could think about was his dead friend. It was ridiculous that he could let his mind drift so far and if he’d let it go any farther, he’d loose all this desire that had been building up and if it got really bad, he’d start crying. For some reason, he didn’t think that Lexi would be very comfortable with consoling him, so he’d have to get his mind back on her. It would help a lot if she didn’t have that shirt on anymore, and if he took off the chain with Meadhbh’s dog tags from around his neck.
Turning away for a moment, the wolf reached behind his neck to pull the necklace from under his shirt and then gently lift it off over his head. He let his eyes rest on the engraved metal plates for a moment before reaching over and setting them on the bedside table, tucking them up against the back of the alarm clock there so that he wouldn’t keep looking back at them. His eyes moved back to Lexi and he smiled over to her, placing his hands softly on her knees, ready for both of them to forget everything that was worrying either of them for the night. Only, the expression that was spreading over the woman’s face told him that this would probably not be the case.
Morrison looked down and off to the side, sighing, before looking back up to Lexine and fixing her with a concerned frown. “Come here lass,” he said quietly. It had been a long, long time since he’d seriously used a pet name like that, since he didn’t count calling Iivan ‘babe’ every once and a while a real term of endearment. And it was surprisingly refreshing, mostly just because he had someone would might appreciate the name. Wanting the human closer, and honestly out of his direct line of sight with that shirt on, he grabbed up her hand and then guided her around so that she was sitting next to him and so that she could lean against the headboard if she wanted, or she could use him. Either way worked.
He left her sitting a little ways from him, so that she could have her space if she wanted it, though he did rest a hand on top of her thigh, his fingers slowly stroking her skin. “What’s on your mind, Lexi?” The wolf tilted his head to look over at her. “Do you need to talk about anything?” Half of him wished that she wouldn’t say anything and that she’d just lean over and kiss him and that they’d have fun the rest of the night. And yet his other half did want her to talk. She still hadn’t told him the full story about her family and he was anxious to get to know those details about her past so that he could help her start to work through it, or find her a therapist that could. He needed to find her a doctor too, to sort out her illness, which he had yet to tell her about. Goddamn, this was all getting complicated. In that moment, he decided that Lexi’s cancer was his main priority and that he’d have to tell her about it within the week; he’d only feel guilty if she got any worse.

It was probably a very good thing she couldn't read minds. Had she known how he thought about her wearing this top she would have gotten rather pissed at him. In fact, had she known that his thoughts were more centered on his friend than on her then she might have slapped him as hard as possible, gathered her things together and left without a word. Simply because she wasn't the kind of girl who would allow someone like him to treat her in such a way...the relationship was already rocky as it was and something like that at this moment in time would not have gone down well at all.... Good thing she had no idea.
She watched as he removed the dog tags from around his neck and not for the first time wondered why he wore them, although she had never asked since she wasn't sure she would like the answer or not. Once he had tucked them away out of sight he had turned back to her, “Come here lass,” and had moved her so that she was sitting by the headboard instead of her previous position on the other side of him.
Lass? Where had that come from? She wasn't sure how to take pet names having never had one before but she supposed it was better than some she had heard people being called....it was much better than 'pet'. Ick. Why would you call anyone pet? If he had called her that she would not have been very happy about it since with him being a wolf and her a human it would have been taken very much the wrong way. At least lass was alright, she would just have to get used to it.
“What’s on your mind, Lexi? Do you need to talk about anything?"
Had she been so obvious with her own thinking that he had picked up on it? She had heard about sixth senses and all that bollocks but this was ridiculous! It must have passed over her face or something since she was well aware that she had not spoken aloud about her worries. Did she want to talk about it? Not really. Just the pain that came from thinking about it was enough to put talking about it well out of her mind- there was no way she could just start talking about it now of all times! The pain that constricted her heart grew stronger as she considered just telling him. She couldn't do it. It hurt too much.
She decided to concentrate on his rough fingers stroking her leg instead of the thoughts and memories that were trying to float around her head. Eventually she shook her head. "No," A pause, "I've nothing to talk about." Nothing she wanted to share right now anyway...or maybe ever. But she would have to tell him eventually wouldn't she? Not even Bert knew the whole story so Morrison wouldn't get any information from that avenue, nor did the people she had known on her street knew what had happened behind the closed doors of her home and she wasn't willing to relive the horrors of it.
Hell, even she was aware that a cough that lasted this long was nothing good but she wasn't willing to learn more about it. Why would she want to when she already knew it was something bad? How would she handle more bad news? No, it was better to let whatever it was just whittle away her life...afterall, she honestly felt like she deserved the sweet peace that death would bring her. Not that she was going to tell him that since he would probably tell her off again.
"Stop asking questions and kiss me," She shoved the bad thoughts deep down and concentrated on the man before her, not wanting to ruin what mood they had left between them- although it was more than obvious that both of them had other things on their minds. She wanted to enjoy something of tonight and that wasn't going to happen if they both kept dwelling on poisonous thoughts.

Perhaps it would be the best idea if Morrison kept his observations about people to himself half of the time. He saw a lot more in other’s expressions than most people did and tended to make a bigger deal out of it than he should, because he couldn’t tell if they were trying to hide a strong emotion or not. He must have made that mistake right then because after his words, Lexi looked reluctant to open her mouth, but after a few seconds she did give him a response. "No, I've nothing to talk about."
Well, he was sure that she had plenty to talk about, but tonight wasn’t the right time for any of that. Would she think that any time was right for it though? She might never want to tell him, though he wouldn’t be fine with that at all. He needed to know what her life had been like, if only for himself so that he could understand her better. And if she wanted any information from him, he’d give it freely, it was really the only way to strengthen her trust in him. Maybe once she had really gotten to know him, she could entrust him with that knowledge about her past.
There was just the question that now they weren’t going to talk, what were they going to do? His mind was having a hard time completely focusing on Lexi and her body, it kept drifting back to Meadhbh and what he wasn’t being told and what he wasn’t telling. He was glad when the woman took the initiative to drag his thoughts totally back onto her. "Stop asking questions and kiss me," Morrison slowly curled his hand underneath her thigh and looked over at the human, grinning softly. “If you want,” he sighed, smiling. He leaned over to her, pressing his lips firmly to hers for a second before pulling away, though he kept his face very much close to hers, breathing against her cheek. “You know I won’t be able to stop now,” he whispered.
He kissed her cheek before moving back to her lips, going in for a much deeper kiss this time. Keeping his lips pressed rather firmly to the woman’s, Morrison got up onto his knees and turned to swing one leg over onto her other side in one fluid motion. Now straddling her and leaning forward, he slid his hands onto her hips and softly dug his fingers into her skin. It wasn’t taking long at all for the wolf to absolutely forget about everything else but Lexi. She was beautiful, so damn beautiful, a fabulous kisser, and more than decent at love making. He had to wonder why it had taken so long for him to fully recognize that tonight.
Dragging his lips away from the woman’s, with a bit of difficulty, he straightened up to look her in the eyes. He grinned, flashing his canines for a moment, before quickly kissing her again, unable to help himself. “This isn’t fair, is it?” he asked, and then continued to clarify what he meant, “You’ve got so little on and I’m still clothed.” His hands wandered a little ways up to her waist before he slowly pulled them away and sat up, careful not to squish Lexi’s legs, so that he could easily yank his shirt off. With his chest now bared, he felt they were a bit more even, though he knew that it wouldn’t stay that way for long. The wolf’s hands were quickly making their way back under the human’s shirt and were on their way up, sliding over her skin, past her waist, to her ribs. “You’re fucking gorgeous,” he said quietly, leaning in once more so that he could kiss her.

“You know I won’t be able to stop now,”
Good. That was exactly what she wanted to hear right now. She didn't want him to stop, or leave her alone and him telling her so right now was more than enough for her mind to stop thinking about what she needed to tell him and what she was willing to share. As his lips pressed against her own her arms moved up so her fingers could tangle into his hair, pulling him a little closer to herself so he couldn't get away- although she doubted he would want to anyway. In fact she had been so engrossed in said kiss she hadn't even noticed as he lifted himself up and as he pulled away from her she realised that he was now straddling her and her cheeks flared a very light pink at the thought that things were finally moving along.
She didn't need to tell him that although she did want him very much right now it was also a little to do with forgetting the evening before this particular moment. The thought of losing so badly, nearly dieing and then having the argument was weighing heavily in her mind and she was only a little guilty that this was the one thing that was going to take her mind off her problems so completely. She doubted he would take that very well so she chose to never ever tell him the truth of the matter. Besides, she really did want him...it was as good an excuse as anything else!
As he pulled away from another kiss the grin he gave her was one of a full view of canines and she was rather proud of herself for not giving into the usual shudder that had accompanied such a sight before. Apparently she was getting used to seeing them and that was a good thing...she couldn't be afraid of them after all of this! And if she was only a little honest with herself it was kinda sexy although only on Morrison, had it been any other wolf she would run for the hills. He was the only wolf she wanted anywhere near her since she still hadn't quite let go of the prejudice and fear she held for his particular kind. Racist maybe, but for good bloody reason.
“You’ve got so little on and I’m still clothed.”
Well, she could have told him that when they had first started! Hell, even in her own clothes she had been wearing less than he had (no wonder the doctor had glared at her all the way through the examination)! Although she wasn't going to argue with him and was more than happy to shuffle her body so she was now flat on her back where she could watch him strip with a small smirk on her lips. Now that was a view she was glad she could call her own (for now) and was intent on enjoying it as much as possible. Once his top was off her hands came back into action and her fingers were soon trailing over his taunt stomach and chest. Oh yes. She was most certainly going to enjoy this as much as possible.
His own hands were causing goose bumps to erupt over her body and she shivered slightly as they roamed over her own body. She wasn't sure if she loved it or hated it but whatever the feeling she was more than ready to bring this to the next step. “You’re fucking gorgeous,” His words were new and as with any other compliment aimed at her she chose to disregard it, not believing herself to be worthy of such a thing. In fact, had it not been for the kiss he gave her immediately after the comment she would have argued over it. She was not beautiful! She was oh so broken and scarred....and she could feel the bruises from the fight start to really come up although she ignored the slight pain they caused her (helped by taking the pain killers of course).
Once he had pulled from the kiss however she only shook her head at him, "No I'm not." She muttered before she was pulling him back down to her....
--------
Lexi lay looking up at the ceiling of his apartment, her chest rising and falling heavily as she attempted to control her breathing although she failed terrible. Her face had a small smile plastered to it and as she turned slightly she was glad to notice that the only pain she felt now was from aching limbs and bruises although she couldn't actually remember when having sex had stopped hurting- must have been in the first few times anyway. Once she had moved into a position where she could look at him without straining her neck she allowed herself a moment to stretch out, giving only a small noise of discomfort as aching bones protested at being moved so soon.
It was as she was coming out of her full body stretch that the words slipped out before she could stop herself. "You so owe me a date..." It had come out as a small mutter although with his hearing she didn't doubt he would hear her. This time of course she didn't go red as it was a thought that had been bothering her since they had started all of this and she was kind of glad to get it out there. "Not that I don't love this..." She didn't dare say 'love you' since it hadn't gone down so well the one time she had said it.
Her fingers moved to trace along her throat and she gave an internal wince. Ow. She bet that didn't look pretty...she didn't dare feel the bump on her head! "Is it bad?" She questioned him although she could just imagine the hand shaped purple bruise that was gracing her pale skinned throat. It wasn't like it would be the first hand shaped bruise she had ever had but she needed to worry about how to cover the damn thing before Bert saw it. God help them if he did and accused Morrison of being the cause of it!

Whatever stress or anger they’d both been harboring before they’d ‘gone at it’ seemed to have helped in making it all more energetic than usual. Even Morrison was panting afterward, laying flat on his back with his eyes closed and one bare leg hanging off of the side of the mattress. If Lexi wasn't so bad at taking compliments, he would have told her how wonderful she’d been, but she would have disagreed and tried to argue with him, despite the truth in his words. Although, he was coming appreciate her frequent mutters of “No I’m not,†when he’d admire her before they were done talking for the night. He wouldn’t mind having that stay the same even if it would be nice to have her admit a little pride in her own appearance. She was comfortable around him though, so that was all that mattered.
After a couple of seconds, the wolf lazily rolled over to looked at the woman, pulling his legs fully under the bed sheets to keep them warm since the heat was turned down in the apartment at night. He smiled as Lexi turned to look at him and their eyes met. She had the most satisfied, content, sweet expression on her face right then, and it was adorable. However, instead of telling her that, he reached over to her and pushed her hair off her forehead and away from her eyes, even though she wasn’t done stretching herself out. When her body finally did relax, a few words slipped out, "You so owe me a date..."
A tired grin lifted the sides of Morrison’s lips and he gave her a look of “Oh yeah?â€, though he knew she was right. They most they’d done together was hanging out at Lexi’s home for a while before they ended the night in possibly the best way possible, but they never had a proper ‘date’ per-say. They’d had a few drinks together once (not including the night that he’d saved a very drunk Lexine from some bastard), though that didn’t count. All-in-all, he agreed with her, he had to take her out somewhere nice, no, not just nice, amazing.
"Not that I don't love this..." The man sighed, nodding softly, and ran his hand over her nearest arm. “If you didn’t love it, you wouldn’t keep asking me back,†he teased lightly, his hand drifting down to wrap his fingers up in hers, “but you’re right, I do owe you a date.†He gently pulled her hand up and pressed the back of her fingers to his lips. Thinking of what they could do exactly on a date, he let her hand out of his grasp and watched her then run it over the bruises on her neck. They looked really painful.
"Is it bad?"
Morrison gently pressed his fingers to the middle of the bruise and then moved the hand onto her soft shoulder. “Well…†he sighed, “it looks really bad right now, but I think it’ll be almost completely faded in a day or two.†Or at least that was what he hoped. She might have a tender, dark spot on her neck for another week, but it wouldn’t be so noticeable then and eventually, it would be gone. He wondered if he’d have to worry about her getting any more injuries like that or any new scars. She was not going back to the cages, ever, but it didn’t mean that she wouldn’t still get in fights with random people. He didn’t want to have to hover over her to make sure that this wasn’t going to happen, but if he ever had any suspicion that she was in danger, she’d never be able to get out of his sight.
“Don’t worry about it though,†he smiled softly, shuffling closer to her, “everyone’ll be too busy looking at your pretty face to notice.†He kissed her for a moment before resting his head on a pillow next to hers, closing his eyes part-way. “So,†he muttered, getting sleepy, “would you like to go on a date tomorrow night? My treat.†He was thinking that Lexi could go to a salon beforehand and he could buy her a beautiful dress, that he could rent them a limo, they’d go to the nicest place in town and rent a hotel room afterward. But that was a bit overdoing it, and he was too tired to be thinking in a completely rational manner. A wonderful dinner and then a night at one of their houses would be fitting enough, it wasn’t as though he wanted this relationship to get that real that fast. Right now, he just wanted to worry about sleep and having Lexi to sleep next to.

everyone will be too busy looking at your pretty face to notice.
She gave a very unladylike snort as she rolled her eyes at him. "The only person who thinks that is you," She informed him. "Everyone else will be wondering if your an abusive bastard." she rubbed her fingers over her throat once again although this time she was thinking about how she was going to get past Bert without the overprotective man seeing the marks on her skin. As far as she was aware he didn't know the extent of her fighting and she hoped to keep it that way...that and he would kill her if he found out. And he would take it the wrong way, thinking that Morrison was the blame and she wasn't sure she would be able to keep the two men from tearing into one another this time around.
"Bert is not going to be happy," She muttered as she turned her body a little more towards him, tucking herself a little closer so she could leach off his body heat thanks to it being a little nippy outside of the duvet. She didn't even attempt to mention that the other human was going to blame her boyfriend knowing how well they both hated one another. If Bert saw the bruise and then saw Morrison she hoped she wasn't going to be in the middle of it. Maybe she could call in sick? No. That wouldn't work....
"would you like to go on a date tomorrow night? My treat."
Well, she had wanted a date she just hadn't expected it to be so soon! She had to think about it for a moment or two but since he looked half asleep she didn't have to worry about hurting his feelings for taking her time about an answer. Finally she rolled onto her stomach and lifted herself up slightly so she was leaning on her forearms and looking down at him, her hair slipping over the once shoulder in a mess of curls and tangles.
"I'd love to but I don't want people..." She sighed and looked away for a moment, "I don't want people taking the marks the wrong way...maybe we should do something next week?" And it would give her time to actually buy a new outfit since she had no desire at all to be seen in something she had had for months. She wondered briefly where one would go on a date...was it a fancy restaurant? Or a film? She couldn't see him being the type to do the cheap thing! So, she would need a nice looking dress then and a new hair style. She really hoped she had enough money left over for that kind of thing.
She moved and collapsed onto his chest, draping herself over him with a puff. "Where would we go anyway?" She asked, seeing now harm in it. "Because I'd need a new dress and everything." She yawned slightly and her eyes drooped a little as she did so. Deciding to settle down she shuffled so she was comfortable but not trapping him beneath her body, she closed her eyes and moved the one hand to tangle into his hair as she did so. Maybe she could change her hair colour...she had seen the disapproving looks he had thrown at her when he thought she wasn't looking so she could change that for him, afterall, it was only a small change to make for someone she cared very deeply for.

Morrison grinned softly at Lexi’s saying that people would think that he was abusing her, glad to know that she was just teasing. It was unfortunately true. If they went out walking around and the bruise on the girl’s neck was completely exposed, it would be the obvious conclusion to think that he’d been the cause of that bruise. She was just such a small girl and he was a larger man than most, it also didn’t help that he had a less-than-inviting demeanor towards most strangers. It was likely that eventually someone would walk up to him and give him a good telling off, and he couldn’t exactly punch them to shut them up because that would be proving their point.
It was good thing that these thoughts wouldn’t keep him awake for the night, mostly because he didn’t even care what strangers thought of them. They had their own opinions and if those didn’t end up putting him in jail, he was fine. And honestly, he was too tired to think, his brain was just all warm and fuzzy. Warm and fuzzy like the blankets, he thought, like Lexi’s curly pink hair that was gliding over his face. The wolf blinked a few times, realizing that the woman had rolled on top of him, and lifted his arms up to take a hold of her waist.
"I don't want people taking the marks the wrong way...maybe we should do something next week?"
Her apprehension about going out on a date so soon didn’t go unnoticed, but Morrison understood it and so he didn’t take any offense that she would rather go out much later so that she had time to heal. Besides, it’d give him time to actually make reservations somewhere super-high-end. He was a little worried about Lexi disapproving of him spending so much money on her, but he’d make sure that she would forget about that and have an amazing time.
“We can definitely hold off until next week,” he smiled, leaning up and kissing her quickly.
”Where would we go anyway? Because I'd need a new dress and everything."
“Mm,” the wolf hummed, “I’m thinking we’d just go to dinner.” He said this as if they’d just go to some chain restaurant where you could get some combo deal on your meal, but he was really thinking somewhere where you were expected to wear a gown or tuxedo. “I could take you shopping sometime though and get you something really beautiful.” Something truly classy as well, because while Morrison did enjoy most of her ‘skimpier’ outfits, he wasn’t so sure that she knew how to pick out an appropriate dress. Plus, he knew that she wouldn’t be able to afford the sort of quality he’d love to see her in.
“Let’s go to sleep though,” he whispered, before yawning widely, “it’s been a long, long night.” The wolf kissed Lexi’s cheek sweetly and wrapped his arms tightly around her to hold her in place. His head fell to one side and his eyes closed, glad that he didn’t have to get up to turn the light on since he’d done that the hour previously. Quite without meaning to, Morrison fell asleep within a few minutes, his mouth slightly open and still hugging the woman loosely too him, very happy to have her warmth.
- - - - - - - - - -
It was unnecessarily early when Morrison woke up. He had heard the front door open, but he didn’t worry about it, sure that it was Iivan. That was confirmed when he heard the man’s bedroom door open and his muttering, though he couldn’t make out what he was saying. The wolf who was already in bed was glad that the other was very quiet at least, so Lexi probably wouldn’t even be able to hear him, and he wasn’t moving either, so she could sleep soundly.
Not that Morrison could. He was pretty much wide awake now, listening for the sound of his friend moving around, wondering what he had been up to last night that would have him come back home so late, well early; it had to be morning. Oh well, he had his thoughts to distract him for a while, perhaps he could even coax himself to sleep, and if not he could just stare at the woman laying partially on him for an hour or so.
After about an hour or two of just staring at the ceiling, wondering what he was going to do tomorrow at work and what they could do on their date, Morrison was still no closer to sleep than before. He gave up on it then and turned his head slightly to watch Lexi sleeping, laying absolutely still so he wouldn’t disturb her. She looked very innocent in her sleep, with her little mouth half open and few drops of spittle glistening on her lips. He could definitely continue to stare like that this until she was ready to get up.

When Lexi awoke it was to the sight of Morrison staring at her face and for a moment or two she stared back at him before groaning softly and rolling off his chest so she could stretch out properly. As her body cracked she gave another small groan as her aching muscles protested at the movement, especially in places where bruises had started to show up whilst she had slept. "Ah," Her fingers curled into the sheets as she winced before looking back at him again. "I need a warm shower..." She mumbled as she turned to look at him, her face still pressed into the pillow slightly. "I ache everywhere and not in a good way."
With a small yawn she eventually twisted her body so she had her legs tangled with his, pulling the sheets around her body as she did so since she had no particular want to get out of bed just yet, no matter how much she could do with that very hot shower...preferably with him with her but then again, would she actually get anything done if he joined her?
She had slept well considering how much her body hurt. Actually, it had been one of the best nights she had had in a very long time and for the first time she could remember she hadn't been plagued by nightmares. In fact she had been so happy at him offering to actually take her on a date she had been thinking about it when they had settled down to sleep causing her to dream about it. Not that she had the first idea how a date actually went but she remembered a beautiful dress and him all dressed up and having the time of her life...
As she rested her head next to his on the pillow she didn't dare think about what else she had been dreaming about since it was something she would rather keep to herself...mostly because she felt like an idiot for even having thought such a thing. Not that she had any idea where the idea had come from but since it had been there it had to have come from deep in her consciousness. If she was willing to admit it to herself she might have allowed herself to remember the white dress and watching the children,....
Stop it. Stop. Don't think about it. Idiot girl.
Sighing softly without quite realising she was doing it, she ran her fingers lightly over his chest. "Do you have any plans today?" She murmured as she tried to think if she were due at the garage or not. She didn't recall any pressing matters but since it was open nearly every day it didn't really make any difference one way or another. Besides, she wanted to put off going home for a little while longer since she didn't need to look at her throat to know it did not look pretty at all and she needed to keep Bert from seeing the mark. Easier said than thought. Once he saw the damn thing he was going to blow up big time over it.
"And please tell me you have a shower..." She sat up slowly, and a little stiffly, pulling the sheet up around her as she did so as if trying to stop him looking at the unsightly marks although it wouldn't do any good since he had seen pretty much all there was to see of her body. She rolled her neck and cringed as she did so. "Ow." Ok, not the best idea she had ever had but at least she now knew that rolling her neck was something to not do again. She raised the one arm and reached behind her neck and rubbed slightly trying to get some of the kinks out as she looked down at him before she turned slightly and bared the back of her neck to him.
"Would you?" She asked softly, giving up on trying to rub the kink out herself. If she thought that it was a very submissive move she decided to not make a comment on it since she couldn't admit it to herself let alone anyone else. The thought of being in the slightest bit submissive to anyone made her skin crawl in distaste and no matter how much she loved the man she wasn't willing to lose herself completely to him.

Morrison would have like it if Lexi had slept longer, partly so that she could have really recovered her strength and so that he wouldn’t have to get up so soon. Though, admittedly, he was glad to see her eyes opened and he kissed her nose softly before allowing her to just stare at him. Not that this lasted long as she soon rolled off of him to lay on her back, groaning quietly in pain. Concern flashed over his face for a moment, but it didn’t seem that she was in terrible pain and a few aspirin would set her right.
"I need a warm shower...” Morrison smiled softly, agreeing that she would probably feel and look better if she had a shower; her hair really needed some attention, not that he thought it made her look any less attractive like that. “ I ache everywhere and not in a good way." The wolf reached out to gently run his fingers over the woman’s arm, sighing, “You poor thing.” This came out as sincere as he’d wanted it to, not sarcastic at all. He felt sorry for her, that she couldn’t have woken up with the satisfying soreness caused by a good long night of love making, but instead with a soreness that reminded her that she’d almost been beaten to death. If he was going to get anything done today, it would be making her forget about last night, the bad parts of it at least.
As Lexi turned on her side, twisting her legs around his, Morrison shifted a little to make them both more comfortable, one of his arms coming around to softly hold her hip close to him. It was nice that they could now lay in bed like this without getting too ‘excited’, since it was a wonderful feeling to have her skin pressing against his while he was still able to concentrate on her face. She had a beautiful face and pretty, expressive eyes, he liked to wonder what she was thinking of when he stared into them. Right now she just looked a little in pain, yet still very content.
"Do you have any plans today? And please tell me you have a shower..."
A satisfied little sigh escaped the man when Lexi’s hand drifted over his chest and he quickly snatched up the hand, bringing it to his lips to kiss her fingers. She had probably realized by now that he really liked to have her hands next to his lips. “I’m not doing much today, might go on a run later...” He released her hand as she sat up and turned flat on his back, clasping his hands under his head. “Of course I have a shower, whenever you want to use it, just tell me.” He might even join her in showering if she let him.
"Ow." Morrison looked up from the woman’s bum, barely visible from the blankets that were draped around her, to the back of her neck as she turned it, letting out his own “Oh,” of sympathy. She tried to rub out the kink with her own hands, but she didn’t seem to be able to and she soon turned to look back at him, turning so that her neck was accessible. "Would you?"
“Sure,” the wolf grinned, quickly sitting up then shuffling closer to the woman. He would never be comfortable enough to let her touch his neck like that, yet he was still glad that she was so comfortable with him. She trusted him more than he’d thought, and she wasn’t letting her pride get to her. Morrison carefully wrapped his legs around Lexi’s hips, pulling her in a little so that he could easily get to her shoulders and neck. “Would you like to stay here for today?” he asked, lifting his hands to take a soft hold of her neck, fingers gently pressing into her skin, “I’m sure it wouldn’t worry Bert too much.” Now as he really started to massage her muscles, he decided that he wouldn’t tell her that Iivan was home, not wanting her to have to worry about that until he woke up and she was forced to see him. She hadn’t had to see him in weeks, so he wasn’t too sure how she would react to seeing him again. She might freak out or try to kill him, but at least was sure how his friend would react; he’d be petrified, and hung-over.
After a few minutes of working on Lexi’s neck, Morrison could feel her relaxing and his hands drifted down and onto her shoulders then down her arms so that eventually, he was holding her wrists. “Is that better?” he asked, leaning his chin onto her shoulder. He pulled her arms around so that they were crossed loosely over her chest and pulled her closer to him so that she rested against his chest.

As Morrison's hands wrapped around her neck slightly so he could rib at her tense muscles she had to physically stop herself from tensing at the touch- not because she didn't trust him but because the last time someone had touched that particular area she had ended up nearly dieing. But she didn't let on her slight unease and was soon relaxing beneath his touch.
“Would you like to stay here for today? I’m sure it wouldn’t worry Bert too much.”
She gave a small 'pfft' noise before closing her eyes slightly. "You don't know him that well yet," She commented lightly as she tried to stop it coming out as a small moan of pleasure. "He freaks out whenever I don't turn up at the garage." She didn't elaborate that it was usually because she had been out all night on a long alcohol and drug infused bender, or thanks to recent events, her being stuck in hospital or some other such establishment. She wasn't looking forward to seeing him when she did get home thanks to the nice bruise she sported but she guessed she would need to get it over and done with at some point...staying here was only delaying the inevitable really. Bugger it all.
Her mind stopped thinking about Bert after a moment or so thanks to Morrison and it wasn't long before a small sigh escaped her lips as she relaxed completely against him. This felt wonderful and she made a mental note to make sure he did this for her again. “Is that better?” She gave a small 'mmhmm' and opened her eyes once again as she felt his hands travel from her neck, along her arms and then eventually to her wrists where he held on loosely before moving so that she was soon being pulled against his chest. Where she was more than happy to stay for a while.
"That felt great," She commented softly as she turned her head slightly so she could tuck it slightly into the crook of his own neck. However, great or not she really needed that shower since she felt more than a little grimy but she was far too comfortable to get up right this second. "I need that shower though." She murmured before reaching up slightly so she could peck his cheek. "Gonna show me?" It was the closest he was going to ever get to her inviting him into the shower with her since she was one of those girls who liked to do it alone...but she could make an exception this morning thanks to him saving her ass and all of that.
Of course throughout all of this it hadn't even occurred to her that his housemate would have come back home in the night and thanks to her head being full of thoughts about dates and dreams she wasn't going to talk about she hadn't thought to ask him just who his housemate was...although she had more than a good idea about who it was. If she had stopped and thought about it she might have changed her mind about stopping over for the night since she hated the other wolf with a fiery passion- the same passion that burned for revenge against her family. Not that she was ever going to tell Morrison that either...actually, there were quite a few things she didn't want to tell him and there she had been last night telling him she loved him. God she was losing her mind. Everything about this relationship ought to disgust her more than it actually did. She was going soft.
Stop thinking about it. There was no point getting bogged down in the details...there were some things she just wasn't comfortable with talking about and her past was one of those things with a great big 'do not enter' sign. Instead she began to think about what she should wear and do on the promised date. She would need to get a dress of course but she wasn't entirely sure where from since she didn't really spend that kind of money on herself (unless it was illegal) despite having the money available. She could do her hair...It had been this colour for such a long time she couldn't remember what her original hair colour was and since she had only really done it as an act of rebellion it was probably time to get it changed. Maybe.

Morrison was quite unworried about Bert freaking out over Lexi being missing. She was in such good hands right now, at least that was what he believed. He'd saved her once already in the past 12 hours, and from quite an intimidating bloke, so he could handle keeping her protected just fine. She probably wouldn't even have to deal with explaining that nice bruise if she'd had the decency to tell him where she was going. Actually, he would have stopped her from setting foot near that building, so it was understandable that she wouldn't have told him. Though, part of him was glad for what she had gone through since it meant that she'd never be able to return to the cages, they'd just laugh her out. Now, that thought made him feel like a complete jackass, but it was all for her own safety.
And, well, now she was safer than ever, all wrapped up in his arms and too comfortable to go anywhere. "That felt great," The wolf smiled and squeezed Lexi's waist softly, muttering "Good," in her ear. He was more than glad to help and if giving her massage kept her in the bed longer, then that was wonderful! "I need that shower though." Morrison's eyes closed as Lexi kissed his cheek and he quickly moved to peck her ear back. "Gonna show me?" The man held her in place, humming softly to himself as if debating if he was actually going to do so. "I don't know... I mean if you really wanted me to, I could." He grinned and dropped the woman's wrists to tickle the skin of her hips, whispering. "Though you do smell a bit."
He was just teasing of course, she didn't smell much different than normal, and normal was perfectly fine. But it was too fun to pass up. He nipped at her ear playfully before shuffling away from her and scooting off the bed. For a few seconds, Morrison had to look around before he found his boxers laying at the end of the bed, apparently having slipped off the edge of the mattress and onto the ground. When he had them back on, feeling more comfortable covered up like that, he moved back to Lexi and pulled her to her feet. Without bothering to let her get any sort of clothing on, knowing that she would take it off just as soon anyway, he lifted her up into his arms. "Oof," he grunted, shifting the woman in his arms before his body was settled with her weight. His knees were not keen on working with him today, but he'd force them to do what he wanted anyway even if they started to pain him.
Humming softly, Morrison carried the human out of his room and down the hallway. His eyes caught the sight of Iivan's bedroom door before he walked further down the hallway. Perhaps he could convince the wolf to stay in his room all day or at least until Lexi left. No, he couldn't do that, he'd just be acting selfish then and he'd known the man much, much, much longer than he'd known this woman. Fuck it, if they both wanted to be a part of his life then they'd have to able to deal with each other. They didn't necessarily have to be friends, but they couldn't be at each others' throats whenever they were in the same room. Morrison sighed internally; why couldn't ever have normal relationship with somebody?
Oh right, normal was too boring for him.
"Here we are," the wolf announced, pushing open the bathroom door with his foot. He stepped over the threshold then bumped his shoulder into the light switch to turn it on, revealing how awesome the washroom was. It had a tiled floor, marble counters, two sinks, stainless steel taps, a huge shower in one corner and a Jacuzzi tub gracing the center of the back wall. It was a bit overdone, but the two werewolves loved the luxury and if they could afford it, then why the hell not? Plus, it made them look really impressive when they had guests over, though that didn't include Iivan's occasional "lady friend".
After setting Lexi down on the rug next to the sink, so that her feet wouldn't get cold, Morrison moved over to the tub. He started to lean down to turn on the faucet but then he stopped and turned around to look at the woman. His eyes got stuck on her body for a moment before he shook his head and looked up to her face. "You know what, you chose," he said, walking back over to her, "and I don't have to join you if you don't want me to." He grabbed up one of her hands to kiss her fingers, thinking that he would be perfectly fine if Lexi didn't want to bathe with him, he'd probably need another shower anyway, since he was planning on hunting tonight, not having done so in a good week.

Lex couldn't help the small smile of amusement that graced her lips as he leaned in close to her. "Though you do smell a bit." Huh. Sod. It was a good thing she knew he was kidding or she might have tried to slap him! "Your such a git," She grumbled in good humour as she watched him shuffle to the side of the bed so he could fish about for his boxers that she vaguely remembered ripping off his body the night previously and as he pulled them on and got to his feet she went to the edge of the bed to pull on his shirt when she was suddenly scooped up into his arms. With a yelp she found herself being carried into the hallway in nothing but her birthday suit whilst he at least had something to cover his modesty.
As she grumbled under her breath about wolves who had no sense of shame she also kept an eye out for his elusive housemate who she had no particular desire to meet right at this moment. However as Morrison opened the door to what she assumed to be the bathroom her thoughts were stopped short at the sight of the room.
Oh. Wow. She wanted this bathroom at home...
"Wow," As he set her down onto the mat she watched as he moved to the bath before he came back to her, lifting her hands up to kiss her fingers- he really did that a lot, she wondered why. "and I don't have to join you if you don't want me to." Well, he was no fun. He hadn't gotten her hint then. Daft male.
"Well," She tilted her head slightly to the side as she looked at him, pulling her hands from him before resting them on his chest before she pushed him backwards- or rather she pushed and he deigned to move for her- towards the shower where she pressed him against the wall. "Where would the fun be in that?" She leaned up slightly to kiss him as she reached behind him to turn the water on so that they were promptly drenched in warm water.
Feeling rather daring for reasons completely unknown to her, her hands were moving to wrap very loosely around neck so she could kiss him again and as she pulled back she peered at him from beneath her now very wet hair. "I may love your bathroom more than you," She teased lightly as her hands moved from his neck and down towards the boxers that had sculpted themselves to his body. She stopped at the waistband however as her eyes moved to roam over his body and not for the first time questioned what he was doing with someone so ugly as herself. And whilst she was at it she questioned her own sanity at being with a wolf like him...afterall, he was still a predator.
She finally spoke again as he body moved to kneel onto the ground. "Besides, you might need the shower." The look on her face was quite sultry and with a yank his boxers were no longer on his body.....

"Well," Morrison let Lexi's hands pull out of his own, grinning as those hands crept onto his chest and pushed against him, coaxing his to move backward. He felt his foot hit the edge of the shower and then he was stopped when his back hit the wall. "Where would the fun be in that?" The wolf shut his eyes as water suddenly cascaded over his head then blinked, shaking his head to get the water out of his eyes, to smile down at the woman. "No fun, whatsoever," he said, grabbing her around the waist and kissing her back.
Lexi should have warned him that she was going to get so frisky this morning. He would have prepared himself better, but as it was, he found that being under the warm water with the human pressed against him to be a bit too stimulating. Not that he minded that at the moment, especially not when the woman pulled away so that they could look at each other. "I may love your bathroom more than you," The wolf grinned, shaking his head softly, and slid his hands down a bit to hold her slippery-when-wet hips. She looked very sexy with her hair drenched and plastered around her shoulders and face like it was. He sort of had the urge to run his hands through her hair and mess it up, but then she wouldn't be able to look at him the way that she was and he was suddenly rather distracted by her hands moving over his body.
His eyes shifted down, following her fingers as they moved lower, then looked back up when she stopped with her hands on his waistband. He moved to pull her closer and kiss her on the lips, but she already starting to kneel down. Slightly surprised by this movement, Morrison let his hands slip from Lexi's sides and tilted his head back into the tiled wall, letting the water from the shower head drench his face. "Besides, you might need the shower." The wolf mumbled in agreement, thinking that Lexi would need a shower too…"Oh shit," Morrison sighed, smiling as his boxers were pulled down to his ankles. He was loving where this was going, though-
"One second," he said quickly before stumbling out of the shower, kicking his boxers off his ankles. He fast-walked, not wanting to slip, over to the closet where the towels and toiletries were kept. Opening it up, he scanned its contents before finding the box he was looking for. He didn't like keeping the condoms in his own room, so this was the second best place and now he was very glad that he'd decided to leave them in here. After ripping open the cardboard, he took out one of the little packages and returned to Lexi in the shower, pulling the glass door shut behind him. "Come here sexy," he grinned, pulling the now standing Lexi in with one arm.
- - - - - - -
That had to have been one of the most productive showers Morrison had ever had. He had gotten to wash up a bit as well, so that was an extra plus. The only thing that was bothering him now was how hungry he was since they'd let it get much later in the morning. Though, he could stand to ignore his growling stomach for a little longer so that they could get dried off and dressed. And hopefully, they wouldn't end up falling into Morrison's bed again, because, while that was all very fun, it didn't make for an accomplished day.
Sighing contentedly, the wolf pulled a towel around Lexi's body from the back and then hugged her tightly, holding her to his chest. "I know you don't think so," he started, smiling. "But you are amazing." He kissed her ear softly before letting her go and moving around to her front. For a moment, he stared at her, lifting his hand to run his fingers through her hair, then he leaned in to kiss her. He didn't think he would ever get bored of kissing her, she had the softest, sweetest lips, and he wouldn't get bored of looking at that body either, even if she thought that it wasn't the greatest.
"Now that we're all done with that," he grinned, "let's finally get dressed." The man pecked her lips again and then scooped her up into his arms, even though they were already rather sore and his back was not happy with supporting her weight once more. Pain wasn't going to stop him from being all sweet and romantic, though it could ruin it if he accidentally dropped her. At least he knew he'd be able to make the short walk to his room without incident. And he did make just fine, though he did have to ask her to open his bedroom door which always liked to close itself.
Morrison set the woman down on the bed, kissing her before he moved away, then went over to his closet to fetch himself some new boxers since the other ones were still soaking wet. After getting them on, he wandered around the room to pick up the rest of the clothes that were strewn across the floor. He dropped Lexi's clothes and the clothes he'd let her borrow down beside her. He then sat down on the mattress so that he could pull on his jeans without worrying about wobbling over while he was balancing on one leg. "What would you like for breakfast?" he asked after getting his shirt back on. "I've got eggs, sausage, muffins…" The wolf smiled over at her, grabbing up his towel from the bed to rub at his dripping wet hair.
