Run...just as fast I can, to the middle of nowhere...
The woman's running form made no sound, even as her feet hit the soft sand, there was no answering thump as there usually is. Pain exploded inside of her stomach, forcing her to lock up and double over. Her momentum carried her body in an awkward half flip until finally she slammed into the sand on her side, writhing in pain. Saundra's lip curled over her teeth in rage and frustration. Wasn't she a vampire? Couldn't she smell the difference between a werewolf and a human? Obviously not, for she'd sure enough drank the blood of a Were. It was the first time she'd ever made the mistake, so she hadn't associated the taste change with a different species. Knowledge swiftly came as the pain had first attacked her slight frame. Imagine her surprise when after that first twinge of pain, the Were had grabbed and thrown her into a wall. Including insult to injury, he'd flipped her off before fading into the background. She had lain on the cement floor for a full five minutes, in a hypnotic daze as the blood went to work in her system. Without warning, her muscles had seized up, her stomach muscles contracting and spilling blood up and out onto the street. Another contraction of her muscles left her even weaker as more blood poured from her gaping mouth. Screaming in rage, she'd catapulted up, racing out of the dark alley and into the street. People lined the sidewalks, chattering away, unconcerned for their own safely. Her blue eyes had snapped around wildly, as a moment passed by when she debated just grabbing a person and running, but no... she wasn't to be discovered! The pain hit her again, causing her to grimace and snarl. A nearby human had glanced up from his own musings to give her a concerned look. Saundra's eyes had met his own and the blood lust almost overtook her. Perilously close to breaking and attacking him in the middle of everyone she'd bolted off, searching for a deserted place. The more she ran, the more frantic she became. Crowds were everywhere! Humans, humans, humans...their blood pumping through their veins, begging her to consume it. It was so hard to resist, so hard to keep running away. As always there was an animalistic urge to turn and drag an unsuspecting human away with her. Fighting it, Saundra put on more speed until her feet were hardly touching the ground at all. The noises of night time city life slowly faded until
finally, finally she was alone on a sandy beach. She could hear the crashing waves so clearly, in fact, that was all she could hear. The roaring of the waves blotted out every other sound. The full moon bathed the beach in silvery light, carrying everything into a greyscale. The waves...crashing waves... Coming back to the present time, Saundra's stomach contracted violently for one last time, expelling the rest of the blood she'd drank with a painful lurch. She laid hunched up on her side, thanking her lucky stars that no one else could see her so weakened. As quickly as it had come, the pain left her. Just leaving her empty and aching. Food, her body screamed. Snarling silently she rose, trying to shake the weak feeling away from her, but it wouldn't leave. Saundra could think at least. There wasn't a soul around to distract her thought process. She'd just have to get back to the city and lure away an unsuspecting fool...just the thought of of a human's luscious pulse made her teeth ache and caused her head to pound. She walked away from the blood soaked ground as to not lick it up. It would just send her through the same episode. Never again would she blindly choose someone for feeding, the lesson of drinking from a Were would stay with her...
Coming to the water's edge, she rested there, wondering on where to go to get a quick snack and berating herself for being so stupid as to grab a werewolf for a donor. Now that the pain had left her, she could think of how the Were had bodily thrown her into an f-ing wall. Wasn't it bad enough that she'd had to go through the pain of having its blood inside of her? He didn't have to throw her...
