Ice blue eyes looked over the dead and barren land that was once the beautiful park land. She laughed halfheartedly... This place was much like what her heart and soul must look like. Once lush and beautiful when she had love in her life, but now it was black, dead, and broken...
The pale, black leather clad women walked forward father out into the god-forsaken land that reminded her so much of her own past. She walked not really paying attention out into the center of the "park" and looked up at the moon. She loved to stare at the moon. So pale.. so eternal much like her self. (obviously lol) She would stare up at it while sitting in a tree with her second love, Demetri...
She sighed and looked around the barren earth. She was in luck not more than a hundred yards away there was a dead tree with one Branch that swooped down about 20 feet from the earth. A tiny smile graced her lips and she walked over to it. She jumped easily up onto the bough that resembled a seat. The height and hardness of the wood would have bothered human but her perfect body felt nor showed any adverse effects from her pearch....
A long and drawn out sighed passed gently though her lips as she leaned to the side and let her shoulder and the side of her head rest against the tree. Its not like she needed to rest. Quite the opposite acctually... If she didn't need to feed and had a way to escape the sunlight she could sit there until the end of time if she needed or wanted to. The real reason for the sigh was more from of sadness than anything....
It had been a very long time since she had last been close to someone. She found that she was feeling something strange. She was shock when she finally pinpointed what it was. She felt as though she need someone. Needed a fellow being. It didn't matter what species they were. Vampire, Human, well... except for the filthy wolves that thought they were the superior ones when quite in fact they were the savages letting anger rule their lives....
She was completely taken by surprise over this notion that she needed someone. She had thought that since she had overcome the complete and utter blackness that followed both of her love's deaths that she could beat anything that came her way, no matter how Strong it was or wasn't, completely by herself...
A small laugh escaped her perfect lips and she pushed a strand of her long black hair out of her face. Could she really need to the company of another this much that it was making her a little crazy... Not to say that she wasn't fully aware of that fact that she was a little crazy to begin with. I mean who wouldn't be after watching 2 husbands and a child be killed right before your eyes....
She sighed again and looked longingly up toward the moon. It was all alone.. never able to make a friend because it was constantly being chased away from where it wanted to stay...
It was shocking how the beautiful moon reminded her of herself...

Why on earth would anyone be out at night? well except for those creatures that deemed and claimed that they ruled the darkness and shadows of the lunar light world. But that was something easily explained and understood. But why would anyone of the human sorts be wondering around the town with nothing to protect them? Well Theodora was asking herself that same exact question as she quietly slinked along the darkened topography. The whole time kicking herself for being stupid enough to follow her a group of her ‘friends’ to a party. Psh…parties were defiantly not all they were cracked up to be. Seeing as when you go out with a group of friends you are suppose to stick together and figure out how everyone is going to get safely home, what time to leave, etc. But no, the moment they arrived at the location everyone disappeared leaving Theo to be the wall-flower and stand near the doorway. Well after an hour of that mess it was time to leave. Except when she went to find people, she couldn’t. Its nice how some people blend well into crowds. So that left her to scurry home alone. And next time they ask her to go along, her answer is going to be “oh hell no!” That’s if she makes it back to the dormitories in one piece.
Curly light brown tresses fell down across the shoulders of the jean jacket she wore. I know so retro right? But it was cool in her book so there was no point not to wear the thing, especially when it was decorated with nifty little pins and buttons with smart remarks and cute little sayings that she couldn’t pass up pinning where everyone could see them. The jacket covered the black tank top that covered to torso. Dark washed jeans clung to the flesh of her legs, slightly flaring in a boot leg cut towards the hemline. The jeans were cinched to her midsection by a shiny little belt buckle with the Celtic knot of eternity etched elegantly into it. And last but not least to finish her attire, black sneakers. Comfortable and functional all wrapped in a pretty little bow.
“How did you ever get yourself into this mess?”
The college student mumbled to the night air. Her hands were stuffed into the pockets of her coat. Severe ice colored orbs echoed the irritation that was raging beneath the surface of her calmed and yet stern façade. So far the walk had been peaceful. No sense of being followed, stalked, or hunted. This was always a good thing. No sounds or noises that she couldn’t’ explain, and she did not have the need to flinch or run away from the slightest noise. Either she was getting braver, or stupider as the night went on. Either way, her intention was to get home. the soles of her shoes scuffled lightly against the dirt surface of the park’s landscape. It was a short cut back to the campus Or so she had thought. One of the bozo’s back at the party had the keys to the car so she couldn’t highjack the vehicle for the night and come back for them in the morning. And money for a cap was out of the question.
A deep sigh escaped the pink painted lips of the being. She was not really paying attention to the trees and shrubbery around her. This might have been a stupid move on her part. Okay so there is no ‘might have been’… it was. But sleep deprivation and anger suppressed the survival skills drilled into her mind by her parents. ‘Please... If someone wanted to eat me that badly they would have done so already.’ She thought to herself. Shaking her head the female turned to gaze to the ground and continued her forward motion.

Natalya had been so preoccupied with her self-pity and so wrapped up in her own little world that she didn't even notice the human girl walking though the barren and desolate park lands until she passed directly in front of her by about one hundred feet. The girl was pretty by all means, and she just might give Natalya what she wanted... until she drained her of coarse. It wasn't really often that prey walked so easily right to her so she smiled lightly and watched the girl walk forward completely oblivious to the fact that she was being watched by possibly the worlds deadliest predator.
Natalya smirked and jumped easily out of the tree and landed silently among the shrubs. There was a slight twinkle in her ice blue eyes with the prospect of a meal in her thoughts. She laughed softly and took off running at full speed (almost silently) toward the girl. It took only a matter of seconds to reached the girl and Natalya stopped about 10 feet behind her with a small smile on her face. She stared at the girl with her ice blue eyes and said softly, "It's not safe to walk at night by yourself little girl."

The brunette nearly jumped out of her skin at the sudden eruption of another’s voice from the black abyss that was called night. It took every ounce of her not to gasp and scream. People really shouldn’t sneak up on others. While the prey instinct set deep within her mind was screaming ‘RUN!’ the rest of her body refused. Thinking that maybe, just maybe, she was not going to be dinner. There was always a fair chance…right? She was not going to run. Even thought sports and athletics was her love in life, she could not out run an immortal. And yes, believe me; every possible escape began to course through her mind. Even though she was not for sure what she had stumbled upon, but that’s just how her mind worked.
Slowly Theodora turned to face the other feminine being. She kept her hands clenched deep within her pockets. It was for sure that if they were not safely tucked away one could see her knuckles turning white. Stark blue eyes scanned the features of the person standing before her. It was a good thing that she was standing a good 10 feet from her, if the woman was any closer Theo would feel even more so uneasy. If that was even possible. Or maybe she would have just fallen over and fainted right then and there. Either one was an option.
“Yes… well… safety is a matter of perception.”
The scholar tried to play it off like being by yourself was no big deal. Even going as far as to raise her shoulders in a slight shrug. But she did not think that her charade was going so well. A small little smile teased the edges of her lips. Her heart was threatening to take off at a racing speed. At the moment its pulsing pace was quicker than the slow and steady cadence it usually was. Theo observed the other, waiting for a movement. Wither it be offensive of defensive. Whichever came would determine the girl’s reaction.

Natalya smiled as she listened to the other female's heart begin to race. she smirked softly and began to walk slowly around the girl in front of her. It was almost like she was lioness circling an injured gazelle. There was no way in hell that this girl was going to escape. Though.. She thought for a moment and was a little surprised by the train of thought she was riding. She was thinking that she really didn't have to kill this girl. She was so alone that was even willing to make friends with this human girl if she approved.
Natalya took a few more steps and she was back to where she started. The only thing that had changed was the fact that she was now only 5 or so feet away from the girl. She frowned and bowed her head slightly.
"I apologize if i frightened you..."
Natalya lifted her head up and took three quick steps forward. She interlocked her fingers and pressed her hands to her chest and bowed her head again. She breathed and took in the girls delicious scent. It was pretty good. One of the best that she had ever smelled in fact.
"I really didn't mean to."

Theo did not move, nor flinch away from the other woman’s movement about her. Her head did not crane about to watch the predator. The feminine figure remained perfectly still as if it was carved from stone. There was a slight attempt to hold her breath too. But to the brunette’s dismay it was not possible for long. Even though when the other being was out of sight, she could pick up footsteps and determine what was going on. Then the dark haired female came back into view the human’s eyes snapped to the form and followed it.
Then the person stopped closer than she had been. Once again the student’s mind was screaming for her to run. But the rest of her was not following the command. But some part of her was saying not to be so quick to flee in fear. After all the old saying went ‘you have nothing to fear but fear itself’. But then the vixen did a strange thing. Well strange in Theodora’s mind. She apologized for scaring her. That would defiantly rate in the top ten weirdest things that have happened to her. A slender brow quirked in confusion at the action.
She watched as three more steps were taken towards her. The girl’s body weight shifted, as if acting like it was going to move backwards. But it stopped. And the steps that her legs wanted to take away from the being never happened. It was as if she was fixated to the spot. Rooted to the soil and would never be able to move. That wasn’t necessarily a bad thing at the moment. Then again maybe it was.
“Umm… It’s okay. Usually I’m a jumpy person anyway. No big deal.”
A small smile was allowed to form once again upon the youth’s lips. Though Theo was still not quite comfortable with what was going on. She was willing to give doubt a chance. But she was curious as to why the prowler had not just attacked her Sometimes though, curiosity tended to actually kill the cat instead of just scare it to death. She was beginning to wonder what this person was up to. Unless this particular marauder liked toying with her food… That was a cruel and wicked thought to think about.

Natalya looked up at the girl in front of her. She smiled widely and then put her hands on her hips. Not in an aggressive way just as a place to put them. She thought for a moment and then looked around then barren wasteland that was once a park. A look of confusion crossed her face and then she looked back up into the taller of the two female's eyes.
"What exactly are you doing out here anyways..?"
After she asked the question she kinda zoned out and waited for the other to answerer. This wasn't exactly the normal place that humans would hang out in the middle of the night, and especially young girls by themselves. Natalya was out here almost every night and only the occasional ghost freak, or paranormal nut job came out here looking for ghosts. She laughed slightly after that thought crossed her mind. Ha... it was a bit ironic that she gave them everything they game looking for and much much more.
"People don't come out here much." She said after the few seconds it took for her to think. "It is supposedly haunted and people that come here tend to..." She smirked... "Dissappear...."
