History: Laurise was born in the Russian country side. Her family were among the middle class of her town, and she lived a comfortable childhood with her older brother Franco watching out for her. Her voice was charming as a child, and her parents always would catch her singing made up tunes to herself while she played. When she was five, they took her to a voice coach, who said she already had massive natural talent. They began allowing her to sing in the streets with a group called Swans, and it was there that she landed her first big gig. A talent searcher found the seven year old and offered to take her to London to preform. Her family was excited for her, but were too terrified of her leaving them to let her go alone. Since the man would not pay for her mother, father, and brother to go along with her, she could not go. Through her teenage years, she continued to sing in Russia, but then when she became an adult at 18, she speedily left and traveled to London to persue a career in singing.
