Laylah had been resting up till the sun had started to set. After that she had gotten up feeling restless. Not even the thrill of a hunt made her excited. She wanted something new to do. Hunting was a lot of fun but everything was so easy. Half the time they stood there in fear as she attacked them. There was no running and hiding. Laylah smiled to herself. Green eyes reflected back to her in a large full size mirror. She pulled her hair back and let the red bangs fall in to her eyes. Her hair hair had grown quite a bit. It was back down to her shoulders. It was OK but she thought of a new hair do maybe. She wrapped her choker around her neck and took off out the door. She stepped in to a street flowing with people. She had only place in mind. A place where a few drunks wouldn't be missed. Though a drunk's blood tasted funny it gave her a bit of their tipsy ness. Laylah grinned and her half inch fangs exposed themselves. Her pale white skin almost glowed in the night. She realized there was only one street lamp on outside of her apartment. She was thankful to the one light but it was unusual. Laylah pulled down her black corset top a bit and wiggled around in her pants. Her clothes were perfect for a night out. First though she wanted to hunt.
Laylah smiled as she scented the air. It was warm and humid though she couldn't feel the warmth she could taste it on the air almost. The rain from the night before seemed to hang in the air. Her boots giving off a small thud every time she took a step. The moonlight washed over her skin in a silken blanket. Laylah couldn't remember ever seeing the sun. Only the moon. As a kid she had seen pictures of suns painted in corners of books she had read. A blazing ball of fire high up in the sky that lit the day for humans and werewolves. Ugh Werewolves. Worthless beasts! Laylah hated the Werewolves. They had taken so much from her and her kind. It was only a matter of time before they fell off their throne. Personally Laylah couldn't wait for it. The smell of humans soared through her nose as she entered Clerkenwell. It's drunken people were already stumbling through the dark and in to allies to vomit. They were disgusting. She merely smiled as a young somewhat handsome man came out. he didn't stumble around like the rest so his blood would be better than the drunken men she was going to prey on tonight. She waited as he walked in to an alley with two garbage bags. She followed silently. He was tall and had a little muscle on him. Laylah had found out that different human body types had their own taste and varied from human to human. She watched as he turned his back from her. She walked around the corner to block him in. There was no escape. She threw herself at him, Knocking him in to a dumpster. His head lolled back and she seized her moment to drain him. Her half inch fangs sunk easily in to his skin. She smiled as blood welled up in to her mouth.
Feeling his last bits of life leave him she pulled away. Blood dripped down her lips. Lazily she wiped them away. Her body was full. Laylah never took any chances of her victims turning. She grabbed his head and twisted till his head twisted all the way around. The site amused her well. She even took the time to throw him into the dumpster. Wiping her hands on her pants she reemerged from the alley way full and ready to party. She walked up and down the street looking for a nice place to party at. Already there seemed to be humans and other vampires teeming here to have their fun and get a bit to eat. She smiled as she saw fellow Vampires slip in to crowds. Her lush green eyes seemed to pull a few males her way, but it was not what she was looking for. they were all human. She wanted something a little more to her taste. Something new. Perhaps she should get a pet. She smiled and laughed. Finding a crowd of people she waded in to them. Forcing her through till she got inside the bar. She had no idea what bar she was in but she didn't care. She found an empty table and watched as people danced to the beat of the music.

“ Common Jean; you need to break from the monotony. Take a risk. Come with us!” That was the fifth time this hour conversation he heard in his native language of France; he had only had dinner with his Friend and his Girlfriend but was only able to talk to them briefly on account of working his Club and Photo Shoots. So many wanted to have a glimpse without being torn to shreds by a vampire or werewolf; the only difference was that the hours for a vampire were different and a werewolf had no signs of their ‘animal’ side unless provoked which Jean never asked for. ”I know you can stay up two days straight; just for an hour or so. A few drinks, that’s all…” he heard from the female; he couldn’t even remember her name but he did feel bad for not spending time with them. It was not common to be in amongst friends from France in this day and age it seemed. Everyone had their own agenda and well; friends were coming far and few between even within his own life in London. “Fine, I’ll meet you there in half an hour… ” he said with a small bit of distaste in his lips but with the cheer voices on the other side he could not let it get to him. His bronzed skin from visiting the beach glowed as he showered within the hot steamed awoken him from his long day at work and preparation. With the keys to his own club in his trusted staff member hand he called each and every one as he looked through his attire finding something free moving but still in his taste. With a dark pair of denim and a black button up he looked to his maroon phone to see where they were at as he finished up with some leather shoes and watch to complete the ensemble. Not wanting to ride out on his own and risk of becoming so smashed he was intoxicated to walk he hailed a cab for this evenings event for safe keeping. Though the trip was fast and fourteen Euros, Jean-Michel gave him twenty with no need for change as he left to move into the crowds. As always he seemed to meet up with some of his co-workers waving him down to join them but with every denial he moved within the bar part night dance club to join his friends in for a few drinks; several conversations and one hundred and forty Euros later things had lightened up for the man. Many questions and explanations had flourished between the friends and as always their question of his relationship status seemed to dwindle in. He avoided the question with a round of drinks and like that the couple moved to the dance floor in their slight drunken stupor of dry grinding. Love, relationships… he never thought of it even as a girl asked if he would join her but with a shake to his head and a drink in his hand he continued to null his senses on the high price alcohol. Sure the price was high but his drinks were watered down but his friends weren’t the ones to know… they never drank much even as they were younger. Sticking to his the small high top bar table where he stood at his mind slowed down listening to the repetitive beat as the last shot he took finally made him feel a little warm inside. Sitting at the table Laylah began to get bored. So many people were in the bar and their blood pumping fast was getting under her skin. she needed a drink. Though it was pointless she stidd found she wanted to drink acohol. The taste was like nothing she had ever had and though bitter it was still fun to drink. Laylah stood form her table only to find that she was brushing up against people. Her cold touch making them back away from her. She simply smiled and flashed her fangs. The people in the bar backed up form her and gave her space to move to the bar. As she got there she saw a male. He was quite striking for a human. Something she hadn't found in humans. Laylah wondered how he would react to her being a Vampire. She decided that it would be best to play it off though her pale white skin might give her away. She simply overlooked it. She slid over to stand beside him. Her clothes showing just the right amount of body parts. For some reasonshe felt like having some fun. Teasing him a bit then as thenight went on finishing him off. It would be fun but he woiuld be a waste to the human world.
"So, What brings you to this place?"
She turned to look him in the eyes. She remembered a saying about how the eyes of a person were the doorway to their souls. She looked over at the bartender and flashed her fangs at him. He withdrew from her and she simply turned back around. She was enjoying herself. Striking terror in to them was fun. Laylah peered back at the man beside her. She could hear his heart beating beneath his chest. it was faint from all the noise but he still could hear it. His smell rose to meet her with an urge to feed. Perhaps she was feeling a bit hungry. unusual considering she usually fed twice a night and that was enough for her. Laylah had always been a light eater. Tonight her appetite seemed to be up.

His vision had blurred as he stared past the object nearby and stepped into space engulfing and learning the environment around him. It began with the beat of the music that rumbled in steps from the muffled speakers as body moved across it being deafened in their drunken two step stupor which he thanked that he sat far from it. Next came the smells; sweat… not as sour as after sex but it was doused in alcohol and the hint of sex or anger in some that were having a bad day. The heat around him increased as bodies unable to move to the floor were wedged in almost every available crevice and as always he too was bumped out of his own astral like projection of senses back to the reality of where he stood. Swallowing hard he waved for another shot and as it came his vision shifted to a body not just standing there moving but standing directly in front of him.
Listening to his words his vision moved to the dance floor almost unable to see his own friends among the crowd; many oblivious to the danger as others opening their arms for it to happen; This was a city in a mix of a battle that was called ‘Treaty’ and his own kind was in the middle for bait, feed and shields. “Seeing a few old friends that are visiting town and taking a break from life. You? he questioned back with the coming hint of his native French tongue from being amongst his friends. No matter how long it has been since you were way from home; your native tongue always came back if it was spoken around. The way she moved, looked and presented herself called nothing more but a vampire. This was not the first time he was in front of one; some of his own clients were vampires. His ability to keep his neck was to make the fearful look fucking good and by good I mean not in a sexual manner. With her glance past him he was damned in getting himself another drink so he savored the large shot taking only half as he kept his vision away from her eyes. It was not of fear or of a superstitious feeling; he just didn’t like staring at people into their eyes. It was an intimate acceptance but for her, there wasn’t anything at that time. No hint of lust or need; just her as a ‘being’. He did know though that her green eyes were different from his own; hers was deeper like a sex appeal like color. His single green and single blue was like an indecisive thought but still light… still unreal but a part of reality. With the heat raising it was another thing that he took into focus; she didn’t sweat; every being around her except a few had some sort of signs of body perspiration if that of damp clothing, beads flowing down the curves of the skin or if that smell. But he did not speak of it only ran his finger around the shot glass listening around him ignoring the beat of music blurring the senses.[/blockquote]

"A French boy. Don't see those around here much." She thought to herself. Perhaps she should introduce herself. It was polite but then again she wasn't exactly the nice kind of person. His eyes were different than most humans. One was blue and the other green. Some people with that color of eyes were said to be crazy. Laylah had never tasted a crazy person's blood. She licked her lips in thought. Forgetting everyone around here and revealing her fangs to her acquittance beside her. Her deep green eyes scanned the crowd with little amusement. Picking out one that looked tasty and those she would keep away from. Laylah mentally pulled herself back form the food selecting to listen to his reply. It was casual enough to her. He seemed laid back but she was rusty on human ways. They were so damn confusing. Then again so were vampires and they were even tougher to understand but she had been raised with vampires. Not raised with her food. She was getting bored with this. So many people were crowding around her and yet none of them touched her. Laylah knew why they didn't want to touch her but it still made her want to smack the nearest of them away from her. Laylah still saw herself as better than her prey and yet here she was talking to one of them. "What am I doing? I shouldn't be talking with prey. Oh, what the hell. It will give me something to do besides wander around aimlessly." Talking to herself was always how she seemed to cope with things. Laylah then realized she hadn't replied to him. She looked at him. Her deep green eyes trying once again to gain his stare back in to her own eyes.
"Catching a bite to eat. Enjoying the crowd. I have my reasons. By the way I am Laylah, but you can call me L.A. And you are?"
Laylah had no idea what she was doing. This had to be only the second or third time she had made conversation with a human. she began to question as to what they talked about. What they liked. What they hated. All these questions went through her head. She would have to go along with it. she had her manners but boundaries didn't exist for her. She could easily ask him any question and think it was casual. That was the way she viewed it with vampires anyways. They always hid things and yet she liked to pry and sometimes she got hurt for asking too many questions. The pain didn't bother her. That was mostly why she kept coming back. Always wanting to know more about the world. When you did live forever that was what you were supposed to do. Learn everything you could so that way your pathetic life wasn't a total waste here on earth. it was good humans didn't live forever. Then they would over turn balance with nature. She rambled on in her head as the crowd on the floor seemed to blur for an instant in her eyes. The lights! Though it was darker than hell in here it was still getting to her. She turned away form them and stared in to the darkness for a bit. It seemed to help but if she stared off in to them again she had no idea as to what may happen. It was always a risk going in to human places. Her eyes were so much better than their in the darkness. L.A pulled her head back around to face him. Maybe if she stared at the bar the lights wouldn't effect her so much. Laylah's eyes bored in to the wood of the bar. she must look silly but it was better than becoming blind. Laylah's body shifted to where it blocked most of the light. It was much easier to see now.

Everyone had something on their mind; a couple near them almost to the point of ripping off their clothes as the man down the end of the bar just there to drink and fall into an alcohol induced coma for one reason or another. Even his companion for a moment in time looked to him mouth probably salivating as the hints of her ‘heritage’ showed before scanning the floors in her serpent smile; as her vision pulled to the floors he waved for another straight whiskey on the rocks that was slide close to him to be reached for instead of placed on his table. The staff was not used to having a vampire show their true calling as freely as this woman was. Turning back with drink at hand to place among the sweating empty glasses of just water and solid water cubes she was looking to him again.
He could hear the whispers within working behind a camera and his own club, ’Don’t look into their eyes, you will fall like a cobra bit you!’ but Jean-Michel knew better. ‘They’ did have that way of capturing the mind of the aging body and mind with just a touch of their cool digits and grabbing vision calling sweet nothings… well that was something similar to a cobra but still did not make him fear. Right when he thought she would have moved she spoke, something he thought was funny but only smiled to her words. It was fitting but still deep within his mind he wondered if he was suppose to be that bite.
“Jean-Michel. ” he stated softly before taking another large swig to the water down beverage, “ A pleasure Laylah… please forgive me to call you from your given name. I feel it is not my place to call you your alias for only just meeting you,” with that soft smile to his lip still. Though the simple conversation was limited between the beating music he didn’t mind as he watched within the corner of his eye of his companion near him. It was always the same to most that the encountered during his photo shoots; he had become unique in capturing their beauty without blinding them and sourcing them with boils and scars. “ Are you ok?” he questioned just out of mortal sense as she twisted moving away from the light source.[/blockquote] sorry so short =P [/sup]

L.A stood there for a moment longer trying to regain her sight slowly. Her bright green eyes downcast at the wood was a first to her. She needed, no, wanted to get away form the bar now. Back to her own apartment where she could cuddle up in her room or on her couch and read or something. This light was driving her insane. She could invite him outside but it would make it seem as though she planned to kill him. L.A made a slight gesture toward the door and hoped he had not noticed. She decided to concentrate better on what he was saying and when she could break away from him. Though this conversation was intriguing her she needed to get out. Killing him was on option that she was going to consider but her stomach was already full form her breakfast. She grimaced and realized she had been curling back her lips. She instantly put her hand in front of her mouth and pressed her lips back together. Laylah was trying to play it like she was fine and she was bored or something though she doubted it was working. He seemed to know something about her kind. Laylah was wondering why he wouldn't meet her gaze. Just because she was a vampire meant nothing about looking in to her eyes. She was so used to meeting everyone's gaze that it must be different speaking to a human. They were so fun to toy with and yet she was finding herself talking to one and enjoying it.
"No, I am sorry but I have to get out of here. It's the lights. My eyes are very sensitive to any kind of light. I'm sorry. If you like I could talk to you outside but I must leave."
Laylah waved her hand around her eyes as she spoke to Jean. Lovely name if you asked her. She moved so that she could walk out of the bar without much commotion from the crowd that was now in the bar. Somehow many people had gathered here in the bar. She closed her eyes form the commotion and relied on her hearing. It was just like being a bat. The music was blaring and it made things harder on her. Somehow going to a bar tonight was a bad idea. She knew she should leave but something was making her wait for an answer or for him to acknowledge that she was leaving.

With the music becoming unbearable and imperceptible and the drinks slowly becoming more like water then a drink; he thought about her offer. Yes it was dangerous to leave the facility of a crowd with a lone being like a vampire but in his eyes all humans had the same capability of being just as monstrous as vampires and werewolves. “ Sûr, pourquoi pas. , he stated after gathering some of the ice cubes into his mouth and sit within his cheeks. Waving down the bartender to kill his tab he caught the eyes of his friends. “ Excuse Me for a moment" he stated as he moved within the crowds at times pushing the oblivious out of the way. Explaining to his friends that it was getting late and he needed to step out, they all bid farewell. Hugging his male friend tightly and lightly kissing the hand of the woman he moved back to the table where the tab waited on the bar then the table he stood at with the girl. With a fast scratch he passed the receipt in exchange for his card before tucking it into his wallet. For his sheer height that stood over many, as he turned a twirling spot light blinded him. Jerking his head he rolled his fingers over his eyes trying to get the spot out of it but found it useless. Everything about the place just turned irritating and ugly; the smell of body odor was becoming sickening next to the hint of bile from someone throwing up nearby and the alcohol the place was slowly running out of. Unable to really see himself he moved towards the door feeling the blast of humid air peel through entrance calling for him. Though it was humid and probably raining, at least the smell would be diluted.[/blockquote] sorry so short =P again ... [/sup]
