† Personality †
Basic Personality:
Strong willed is an understatement for this Greek/Italian woman. She will do whatever she wants, when she wants, no matter who tries to stop her – whether it’s for her own good or not. Naturally, that gets her in trouble, but since she is dead, it doesn’t really matter to her. She doesn’t have to worry about staying alive, just living life to the fullest.
She can be quite carefree when around old friends. She’ll laugh, she’ll make stupid jokes, and she’ll make a total fool of herself. Her guard will always up though. Trust is very hard to get from her from years of working the underground world. The only person who has your back is you, in her mind. She may not have to worry about dying but dealing with bullet wounds and broken trust is something she’d rather not deal with. Even without trusting someone, she will be loyal to them. Loyalty is something she treasures very highly and will never betray anyone. In return, she expects never to be betrayed as well, and nothing will make her angrier then to find out she was betrayed.
Blunt and rather self-centered most of the time, she doesn’t really ever worry about anyone other then herself. Her opinions will always be stated, and she doesn’t care who she offends. She’ll watch her mouth only around people she deems a threat, since she’d rather they be on her side rather then against her.
She also has an odd fascination with guns and is a little trigger happy when she gets a hold of them.

† History †
History:
Alkestis was born the oldest of two on the eve of July 20th to her parents, Basil and Aella. Her father Basil was a politician with heavy influence in the Sicilian mobsters of his home city, Palermo. His die-hard Italian pride was an unusual contrast to her mother, Aella Karpos, who had her pride in her home country of Greece. Both had very strong beliefs that were instilled in her at a young age, loyalty to your family being the most important.
Most of her time in school was spent leading different lives. In school, she was a bubbly track runner with good grades; her parents had zero tolerance towards bad grades, and had a belt on their side for encouragement. On business trips with her father, she was the child always seen but never heard. On her own, the wild child hell bent on making her own path no matter who stood in her way.
Early on in high school, she learned about the money that one could get from selling drugs. Bunches of rich kids with nothing better to do then party and get high was a huge cash cow, and she had no problem taking advantage of it. Using mafia connections from her father, she easily got her own drug ring running by her 2nd year. She herself, avoided most of it, although did she smoke and drink a bit at parties. Her parents both knew about the drugs, and tried to stop her, but she simply started up against after high school when she was off at College.
Graduating with high marks, it wasn’t hard to get into a good college, although she had little interest in that. She simply went for a business degree with the minimum number of classes she could have to graduate and continued on her own path. Selling drugs, partying, falling in love, and simply enjoying life how she wanted to live it.
After college, life began to hit. Her father had threatened death to those who sold her drugs, and with his influence, they listened. Her immediate supply of money was gone, and her parents had cut her off after high school. Getting down to work, she followed a fellow student into creating a night club just outside Rome. She also invested a little money into a bakery not too far away and later took control of the bakery. The two creating a fairly popular club for college goers and she was back to enjoying the luxury of life by 27.
By her 28h birthday, she was back in the mafia world although she avoided her father’s sphere as much as she could. Her relationship with her parents had been rocky for years so it wasn’t horribly different then what she was used too. She was in a relationship with a fellow politician mafia kid, Celio, who went by the alias Apocolypta. The two mostly used each other, posing as a happy couple to satisfy the media, and using one another’s connections to further their own ambitions. There was love between them but it got clouded by their own ambitions. He, to conquer all of Italy, and Her, to do whatever it took to have a good life.
On her 32 birthday, she held a large bash at the club she owned, getting as drunk as she dared. Stumbling out of the club with friends in hand around 3 in the morning, she tried to get home as easily as possible. At some point, a man she thought to be Apocolypta, started to help her walk towards her home, since trying to catch a cab was impossible. The night was a blur, and how she ended up in an alley completely escaped her. The only thing she remembers were cracked lips against her neck and searing pain.
Waking up in the shadow of an alley, she knew something was wrong. Her first suspicion was assault but part of her arm accidentally falling into the fading sunlight proved otherwise.
Hiding out till night fell, she quickly snuck back to her private home. From just one look in the mirror and being unable to see herself, she knew what she was. She had no fear though, and simply smashed the mirror with a loud laugh. There was nothing that could hold her back now. Fading away from her family as best as she could, she began to live even more on the edge then she had before. Dealing with criminals, drinking, drugs, and just trying everything she could with the money she earned, and stole.
Along the way, she learned how to make latex masks to help her disappear if a deal went bad, which tended to happen, either that or her opening her big mouth at the wrong time and pissing people off. She also learned how to shoot a gun shortly after becoming a vampire and loves to use one when she can, although if she does kill someone with a gun, she almost always drains them to the point their almost unconscious before shooting them. That’s how she got the nickname “Homicide” since she likes to kill people.
Being a vampire is the greatest perk to life and she intends to continue enjoying it.

† RP example †
Wind howled through the narrow gaps in the alleyway, trying to be obnoxious as possible for the homeless people sleeping… well, attempting to sleep. The incomplete moon was high in the night sky, looming over everyone with a watchful eye. It was an old wise tale that the moon and sun were the eyes of god. Always watching you to make sure you were being good. Personally, Alkestis, has never believed in a god. It was an idea she loathed about as much as she loathed the sun. She didn’t need a person to blame, a person to hope will give her a good day. She could do that on her own and at least be able to hold herself accountable for her own fate – good or bad.
Old, worn converse moved soundlessly across the ground as she navigated the alleyways, looking for her usual array of clients. Battered wives looking for an escape, teens who didn’t know better, gang lords looking to make profit in the drug market, everything she expected to see. Today though, she was surprised to find a very skittish boy fairly close to her usual drop off for a nearby gang. Quirking an eyebrow, she pulled her hood up as far as it would go over her head, covering most of her blonde wig, her hands finding their way into her hoodie pockets.
“You seem a little out of place kid.” She said, walking up to the boy. He must have been no older then 16. Glancing behind him, she could see a black car, an older Hispanic man standing beside one of the doors, his body tense.
“Are you Homicide?” the boy asked. Pulling her attention away from the car, she looked at him, giving a simple nod of her head. Relief seemed to settle over the boy’s features as he reached into his pockets pulling out a large wad of cash. “I’m here for Bones’ pick up.”
Bones was an old accomplice who ran a drug ring over on the other side of town. If he happened to have a lot of traffic and ran short of supplies, he normally came to her to curb his business till the next shipment came in. Yet, he always came in person, and generally tended to send a notice through one of the clients they shared. There had been no notice as far as she could remember. “Kid, if you’re going to buy drugs, then buy drugs. I don’t give pick-ups out to random kids.” She stated simply, eyeing the Hispanic man for a moment, making sure to commit his face to memory before looking at the boy, committing his face as well. Panic came over his features, his head turning to look at the other man.
Swallowing thickly, he bit his lip, before speaking again. “How much Coke can I get with this?” Taking the bills with long fingers, she easily counted the wad. It was enough to get a decent amount of the cheep stuff, but nothing good. Pulling her hand into her sleeve, she easily tucked the money away in one of the many inside pockets of the hoodie, then going for a large bag of the cheapest cocaine she had.
“That much,” she said simply. Vaguely in the back of her mind, she noticed that her latex mask wasn’t really sticking to the back of her neck anymore. The kid bit his lip again, but nodded slowly, taking the bag from her.
“Thanks,” he mumbled walking back towards the car. The Hispanic man was obviously displeased but Alkestis wasn’t sticking around to see what happened, or why they came. People could do what they wanted to each other, it wasn’t her place to get in the middle of it. That, and she didn’t really care all that much. Turning sharply on her heel, she headed off into the alleys again, looking for more clients. She never had one spot for everything, made it easier for the cops to find her, so she normally roamed this side of town and if her clients found her, then they got their fix. If not, oh well, not her problem.
