Newly opened. Post Potter. Plenty of canons. Unique plot
To most, the end of the war against Voldemort and the Death Eaters was a chance for a new beginning; it was a chance to get away from all the suffering and fear of the last few years and to start anew. All things considered, it was a fairly good time in the wizarding world and for the most part, things were calm. However, the memories of the tragedy that came with the war was too much for some people to handle. For years, everything seemed to be alright, but it was in those years that the foundations were set for a new battle; a conflict which would be much different, yet much more devastating than the last.
Those that had taken part in the previous war were conditioned to believe the worst of the other side and that mindset was passed on to their children. While the parents didn't intend to do anything more, the children started to wonder and to develop even harsher prejudices than their parents. Though no one saw it coming, the new age conflict was breeding amongst the next generation and there was nothing that anyone could do to stop it.
The first group that started to emerge, though very hushed and under the radar, were named The Marauders. Started by Teddy Lupin, The Marauders aimed to bring justice and revenge to those families that had started the last war, so long ago. The concept of mercy and bygones meant nothing to them and they wanted to bring about a sense of justice for the wrongdoings of the past. Of course, the best way they saw fit to do this was to take it out on the second generation. Even though they'd had nothing to do with it personally, they were the targets.
In response to these outbreaks of violence, another new group came about in defense of the other side. In a throwback to the Death Eaters of the last war, they called themselves the Death Squadron. Their aims, however, were much less violent and aimed mainly at defense. They wanted to take out The Marauders and stop the violence from bringing about another war. For once, the tables were turned and it was the other side that was fighting for a true, just cause.
Though these groups were meant to be very underground, word has started to spread and new sects of these groups are popping up all over, namely at Hogwarts. The young students have taken it upon themselves to start their own wing of the movements and carry out their aims at the school. Everything is still very new and in the works, however, and few people know of the existence of the issue at the school. More and more people are learning of their existence outside of it, though, and it's only a matter of time before things start to get truly serious. The war, while long in the past, is more than a memory.
