† Personality †
Basic Personality: Kaelan is a pretty well rounded guy. He fights for what he believes in and he believes in what’s right. When he was first turned into a werewolf, he didn’t think that he would be able to come to terms with his new life. The pain alone of his first shift drove him to a failed attempt at suicide. He keeps the darker parts of his past hidden from most, preferring to help others with there problems and drowning his own in alcohol while in the comfort of his own home or loose himself in a hunt. He likes to help people, but tends to care too much and get too involved in others situations and problems. Kaelan is strong willed and stubborn to the core, if he believes in something, he’s prepared to die for the cause. Loyalty is something he takes very seriously, as well as respect. Though he sometimes fails, he always tries to keep people at a distance on a personal level because he fears having them ripped away. In light of some events in his past, he also has a paralyzing fear of fire.

† History †
History:Lily met Allen in the United States when they were both very young, probably too young to think of marriage and a family. Any thought of prolonging the start of their life together vanished when Lily became pregnant. Deciding to marry and stay together for the child, Allen quickly quit his job as a police officer and joined the military so he would be able to afford the finances of being a father. This left Lily alone most of the time to raise their son, Kaelan and eventually his ten year younger sister.
While growing up, Kaelan was everything his mother hoped for him to be. He aspired to be a police officer just like his father used to be and loved to help people. Kaelan stayed out of trouble for the most part and got good grades in school. It wasn’t like he was super popular while in school or anything, but he made friends easily enough and had a few good ones. His mother developed a heart problem when he was thirteen so he stayed home a lot to help out around the house and with his little sister Elaina.
Sometime during his childhood, while his father was back on leave, he developed a fascination for guns. For his fourteenth birthday, his father took him to a shooting range and let him shoot his first gun, with his mothers loving disapproval of course. He also remembered this birthday, because his father had finally saved up enough money to buy a big piece of land out west. It was farmland, but his father felt it would be something nice to have and the land would be worth a pretty penny one day. Kaelan loved the new house, there were horses and chickens and all sorts of animals. His little sister’s favorite was always the three-legged dog they’d rescued off the side of the road.
When Kaelan turned seventeen years old, he woke up to the heart stopping sounds of his mother screaming down the hallway. After hearing a few gunshots, everything went quiet. Quickly jumping out of his bed, he ran down the hallway to his sister’s room. Finding her seven-year-old form shaking and crying quietly in the corner, he ushered her into the closet and told her to be quiet and not to move. Then, he quietly made his way down the hallway, working his way to his parent’s room. Knowing his father was still over seas for another two months, his worry was purely for his mother and sister. When he opened the door, he instantly gagged. Blood covered everything and pieces of flesh he could only figure were his mother’s remains were all that was left on the once cream colored carpet. There was a fire in the corner of the room from an old kerosene lamp his mother had loved to use. It was spreading drastically and he knew he had to get his sister out of the house. Seeing the gun his mother had surely used against them, he grabbed it and hurried back to his sister’s room only entering just in time to see a massive black wolf close its jaws down on his little sisters tear stained throat.
He shot the wolf multiple times, noting it was almost taller then he was and several feet taller then his little sister. Before it finally clamored to the floor, the creature managed to grab Kaelan’s arm in its teeth, sinking its fangs deep in his flesh. The last thing he remembered were the flames ripping down the hallway towards his body.
They found him some 4 hours later, holding his nearly headless baby sister in his arms. He was amidst the livestock, all slaughtered and half eaten, his hazel eyes locked onto the fiery remains of his home. Blood covered nearly every piece of his clothing and the pain in his arm unbearable. His father returned to find his wife and daughter had been slaughtered by a werewolf and his son in a severe mental state. Military life had made Allen cold to pain, death, and destruction. Not knowing how to approach his son, he didn’t approach him at all. Instead he left Kaelan to figure out the pain on his own. The last time he’d ever seen his father was walking out the hospital doors.
Some years passed after Kaelan had learned of his infection, almost twenty to be exact. He met and fell in love with a girl named Rhiannon, only to have her ripped away from him by a vampire moments after finding out he was indeed a werewolf. After realizing that vampires caused many of the deaths and missing persons, he joined the local police force.
Now at the age of seventy-three, he has left the police force and the United States, now working as a private investigator in London. Kaelan finds the freedom of it allows him the time to work on his own things. He has his own house and lives with Buck, his 4 year old retired and faithful canine companion whom he adopted while he was a Police Officer.

† RP example †
The sun was warm on his back as he entered the clearing. A wave of smells encompassed him, a mixture of water and grassy wind. The lake before him was large, just as he remembered it. He had a notion to check and see if it was a cool as he remembered as well. Taking a few steps forward he noticed how shifty the dirt underneath his paws was, easily kicked up creating small flurries of dust clouds. He could hear the fish plop up and down in the water as he neared, causing ripples to carry fallen leaves towards the shore. The wind whipped quietly around the tree's, rustling his fur. The sound it made was peaceful and calm, completely opposite of the emotions turmoiling in his heart.
The memories he held of this place haunted him, she haunted him. In a few short weeks he'd gone from being haunted by one tragedy to another. But it had been different the most recent time, it had been different because he'd loved her, and this had been the spot he'd confessed that love. He came to a pause just before he touched the water, visionaries cast out over the land. It wasn't the lake or land he was looking at, but her. He could almost visualize her in the distance, swimming and racing against him. Her laugh would fill the air, replacing the oxygen he needed to breath. Instead, she had become what he needed to live. Rhiannon.
But those days were gone. He had ruined them himself, torn himself away from her. His reasoning was just enough, but he knew he'd hurt her. Little Rhia, always the stubborn daredevil. She'd taken a gamble on being his friend, on admitting her feelings for him. And of course, as sure as the water before him was blue, he'd let her down. And in doing so, he'd ripped his soul into so many pieces it was almost unbearable. She would never forgive him for his treachery, and he would never ask for it. He could remember how she sat beside him on the blanket, her smile lit up his world. But then they had heard something in the woods, something moving around in the night. His intuition told him something was wrong and he shifted into his wolf form in order to protect her. The time it took to shift was too long and her fear of his wolf form too great. She fled into the woods, the night’s darkness enveloping her. Once he’d changed, he darted off after her.
What he’d found was more then he could stand. A vampire leaned over her body, drinking every drop it could inhale from her beautiful porcelain form. He could see her eyes staring out in fear, color drained from her face. The metallic odor filled his nostrils and enraged him, he could nearly hear her heart beat as it faded away. Letting out a loud growl, he snarled at the vampire, alerting it to his presence before he lunged, biting the vampire in the throat and tearing his claws into its torso, ripping it away from Rhia. In a matter of seconds, faster then the vampire could keep up, Kaelan ripped his head from his shoulders. Knowing he was too weak to shift back, he did it anyway. His naked human body collapsed before he could make it to Rhia, whom by this point was already dead.
Kaelan remembered waking up in the forest and seeing the two bodies before him. He buried them both, never telling another soul what had taken place that night. It was a memory that he was sure would haunt him until the day he died.
