If Sage had acted any more human than animal, Kyon would have been far too tempted to take up that lamp (that was only there to look nice) on the bedside table and bash in the girl's skull. But as it was, those sounds and the movements that the werewolf made were ones of an animal in distress, even if she now had normal vocal cords. It was her tongue that was used to the barking, whining, and growling, and it would force that noises she knew well, despite what her body dictated. The way her body moved, at least what was visible under the blanket, was just plain weird. Muscles that the vampire supposed weren't so used in wolves twitched and relaxed then tensed again, regardless of the stillness of that actual part of body. Most of this was concentrated on Sage's arms and shoulders, but there were odd spasms in her face and neck as well. It looked a little painful, yet the wolf made no indication that it even bothered her.
At that soft head shake, the vampire nodded knowingly, grabbing up one of the other towels and reaching under the blanket to start to wipe up the hot sweat that covered Sage's body. She ignored that whine and the tears that came from the wolf, concentrating more on drying her off a bit. This only really served as a distraction for the vampire from emotions that she'd rather not be feeling at the moment. Crying was one of those things that set her off like a bomb. It made her feel so powerful and in control, especially when she could make a big, grown man bawl like a child. At the moment however, this sobbing was far too pitiful for Kyon to take advantage of, even as much as she would have liked to. It wasn't directed at her, it was more for that the fact that this body was too foreign to Sage to be comfortable and nothing seemed to work for her; not her voice nor limbs.
Glancing up at the soft growling sort of sound that the wolf made, Kyon frowned. It was a bit of marvel that the girl was still awake, considering what she'd just gone through. And now that she was relaxed and hopefully a bit more comfortable, it should be easy to just let go and fall asleep. The vampire knew that she wasn't afraid of her at all, following her to her apartment so willingly had been proof of that, so it wasn't that that was keeping her up. Maybe her body did still hurt quite a bit, and she was just to exhausted to notice it. Surely, she ached everywhere, but most people could forget that sort of pain when they found a comfy position to lie in. Yet, Sage wasn't able to move too well, so it would be difficult to move. Kyon almost wished that she had fallen asleep though, it would give her an opportunity to go out and satisfy her blood lust for that night. Then, she'd be able to give better care to this wolf without thinking of smothering her.
Finished with wiping down Sage's legs, the vampire got up, bringing the towel with her and dropping in the hamper by her door. With a slight grunt, she dropped back down on the bed next to the werewolf then began readjusting the sheets on her, pulling them up under her arms and covering her chest, but leaving enough skin bare so that she could cool off a little. Now as she looked up to the wolf's face, which seemed like that first time, she noticed the girl watching her hands. She felt a soft tap on her leg and turned her eyes down to see that Sage's hands were twitching feebly, trying to mimic the vampire's own movements. She wasn't being very successful at it, but it was something.
Gaze back on Sage's face, Kyon smiled softly, yet it quickly fell, as the wolf whined again. Her mouth then gaped open then closed, like a beached fish, and she licked her lips. The vampire's mouth fell open in a little 'o', understanding that she was asking for water. Before she had just been thinking that her lips were a bit dry, or she was feeling how odd it was to not have fur in that area. But no, now it made sense. Without a word, the woman got to her feet, transporting her self to the kitchen. She grabbed a glass cup out of a cupboard then filled it halfway with water. She half wished that she had a sippy-cup, so that it would easier for Sage to drink without spilling, yet there was no reason for any; Kyon wasn't ever planning on having children around.
Sitting back down on the bed, the vampire slid an arm under the werewolf's back then slowly pushed her up so that she was almost upright. She then lifted the cup to Sage's lips and tilted it back, letting a trickle of water flow between her lips. Only after a few seconds, she pulled the liquid away, not wanting the wolf to choke on it if she were unable to swallow. "Better?" she asked softly, dropping Sage back down against the bed.

Sage lifted herself on her elbows, finding them much more stable then her arms had been. She only shook a bit before her muscles adjusted and became mostly still, the only muscles being those twitching in her shoulder blades and back with the tiny wobbles her body made. Her silvery eyes followed Kyon from the room, and her body wobbled again before she gently lay herself on her chest and stomach to watch the door. She found the two parts extending from her chest to be quite odd, yet they made laying down slightly more comfortable since they acted like small pillows in themselves. For a moment her eyes strayed from the door to inspect the room, lightly sniffing the air. It wasn't half as potent with the sharp and distinguishable scents that told her near everything about the room, this bothered her. Her worry was brushed off, however, when the vampire once again entered the room.
Just from her body language, you could tell that -had she been a wolf- her ears would have pricked up in interest. It was warily that she eyed the cup. Certainly she'd seen humans, vampires, and werewolves alike use them many times. The wolf had no idea how to go about this task though. Luckily for her, she didn't have to think all that much about it. Kyon lifted her and gently poured the sweet water liquid -which as she did so, found her taste buds had seemed to dull as well- into her mouth, and Sage's throat basically did the rest. Thankfully, the motion of swallowing was very similar as when she was a wolf -just the methods of getting the food or water in there were a whole other story. Had she a tail, it would have wagged, but the werewolf girl just had to settle with that pleased look in her eye and the small twitch in the corner of her lip.
The edge of her thirst gone, Sage yawned and her muscles tensed then stretched for an awkward and possibly amusing move. She seemed to grow at least and extra quarter of her size, and then she just seemingly shrunk. Her form sunk into the covers, and she gave once last yawn, her tongue curling as it would have had she been in her wolf form. There was a shake of her head before it lowered to the messy sort-of-nest thing she'd made of blankets and pillows pulled around her curled up form. Doubles of the door caused the girl to frown, until tiredness took over her and her eyes slid closed after she put up a feeble fight to stay awake.
Within moments the girl was snoring softly. Whether or not she was dreaming one couldn't really be sure, but there was a twitch in her hand, and her mouth opened and closed as she swallowed back saliva. There was a shift in her position, though it was clear she wouldn't be waking up anytime soon, and then she settled and was still.
((Sorry, it's short, lol, but I wasn't quite sure what else to put xD ))

The small twitching smile and that relaxed look in the werewolf's eyes told Kyon that, yes, she felt better. Thank goodness, that meant that she wouldn't require so much attention at the moment, hopefully not for a few more hours. Not really being one to help others, the woman would be content when the wolf could take care of herself for a while, be it this form or her actual animal state. Though she suspected that when Sage went back to her wolf-self she would be as tired as she was now, despite being more comfortable in that skin; there would just as much stress, even if everything seemed to move to much more normal positions, sizes, ect. Carefully, trying to budge the wolf in the little nest of blankets she had made for herself, Kyon got to her feet. She placed the cup of water down on the bedside table, just in case the werewolf got thirsty again.., Well, she'd have to be able to hold the cup first. And she couldn't do that, the vampire was sure that she'd be able to find some way of getting at the liquid. After moving back a few paces, Kyon stared down at the girl, inspecting her. She seemed much calmer now, much more relaxed for sure, especially after that odd, adorable?, yawn. It was only a minute or so later that Sage drifted off, or at least she looked at if she had. The vampire watched her for a bit longer before determining that the wolf was deeply, and quite suddenly asleep, her still, limp body interrupted by twitches her legs and arms; she must be dreaming. "Night," Kyon whispered, backing out of the room and silently shutting the door behind her. Now she had the entire night to herself and she knew exactly how she was going to spend it. After rushing to her small office room she grabbed up her coat, a thin dagger, her pistol, and two silencers, she in case one malfunctioned or jammed. She had a feeling that the wolf wouldn't actually wake until the morning, seeing how tired she was, so it would give Kyon plenty of time to carry out whatever mischief she planned for that night. Her only worry was what Sage would do for the rest of the day tomorrow. If the vampire needed to sleep, she supposed that the wolf could be let out for a time while she rested up, or she could always force herself to stay awake for the rest of the day. Pulling on her jacket and stuffing her weapons away in the inner pockets of the coat, Kyon moved to the front door. She glanced around the space for a moment, as if to make sure everything was in its proper place before sliding out into the hallway and locking the door behind her. Sage would be fine by herself for a while, it wasn't as if anyone was going to rob her apartment, the complex it was in didn't exactly look too wealthy, it was almost a little trashy looking at best. Glancing around the hallway and to her own door, the vampire checked that all of her gear was there, then she headed off to her car, the slightest of grins sliding over her face. - - - - - - - - - Giddy, drunken giggles emanated from Kyon as she stumbled down the hallway, grasping onto the wall for support and fumbling around in her pocket for her keys. "Oops," she chuckled, standing in front of her doorway and staring down at the floor. While trying to pull out her keys, she'd caused her now bloodied knife and one of the silencers to slip out and drop to the floor. Not worried that anyone would see her, she bent down and gathered the weapons in one arm while she unlocked the door with her free hand. The deepest, most satisfied sigh left her lips as she slipped into her own apartment. The darkness was kind on her eyes, unlike the florescent bulbs that lit most of the city, and the smell of the place was familiar, even if it was a little tainted by the werewolf's scent. It was home and she was safe there. Not bothering to put away her things at the moment, the vampire dropped her jacket, along with its gun, useless and bloody silencer, the silencer that still worked, and the crimson stained knife. She'd have to clean it all up tomorrow, especially the red spots that would now be in her carpet, but she cold care less at the moment; her head still spun form the euphoric sense that she achieved with a kill. That sort of high was better than the one you got from even the best drugs; this one you could ride for days and there weren't any nasty side effects. It was even better when she got paid to do what she loved. On her way to the couch the woman pulled off her clothes, one by one, leaving a trail in her wake. And once she had flopped down face first onto the sofa, she was merely wearing a silky pair of panties, which were just as soaked with blood as her other articles of clothing. Sighing once more, delightedly, she pulled a pillow over her head, letting complete darkness envelope her. The lack of light and absolute mental well-being soon pulled Kyon into a very fitful sleep within seconds and her body went totally limp, and since she needed not breath, it was almost as if she were dead. She didn't even dream most nights.

She’d been asleep maybe two hours or so before the girl awoke with a flinch. Her muscles were becoming sore again, and she shifted while her eyes glanced around curiously. The girl still couldn’t seem to raise herself well, so she collapsed again onto the bed, sniffing the air. All traces of Kyon seemed to have diminished, telling the wolf that she had long ago left. After sitting in silence for a while, the wolf huffed and made an odd noise. Still no response. She must have been left alone. Pushing herself up, she tried to make her way to the edge of the bed. The look was more like a worm, or a spider which had just been doused in water and couldn’t lift its new-found weight. It was much like squirming, and eventually she fell off the bed and onto the floor was a thud.
The girl tried to pull herself up, and managed a half-leaning position against the bed in a sort-of sitting position. She stared down at her new limbs, concentrating on them and trying to remember how to work them. Slowly, her mind began to piece together that her arms were much like the front legs of her more usual form. Frowning –rather, more like grimacing with her lips pulled back-, the girl’s arms began moving. She managed to flex her elbows as she had when she’d used them to run. Her wrist was the next easiest thing to move. Fingers and shoulders were going to be next to impossible. The muscles in them were different then that of her wolf form, and any movements she attempted caused an interesting array of erratic movements which entertained her until she ended up smacking herself in the head. A frustrated growl leaked from her.
Eventually she began to focus on her legs. They were criss-crossed, turned, and confusing. Without her knowing, her eyebrows came down slightly in a frown. Pushing and stretching her leg muscles, a satisfied grin came to her face when they eventually –and slightly painfully- ended up straight out in front of her. There was a dull pain from when she’d bumped her ankle on the bed, but other then that, she felt fairly fine. Staring at the strange-looking legs, Sage flexed her muscles and became intrigued when her thighs twitched. She did it again and was impressed by the results of the same motion. Her head tilted to the side, and she continued doing so until she decided to test the strength of her muscles, and her knee came up and stayed up being propped up by her leg and foot. She blinked and looked at her other leg. Eventually she figured out the order in which she had to tense her muscles to raise and lower her knees, and she was having quite the time of her life doing so over and over and over again.
It didn’t take long for her interest to wane, though, and once again she was glancing around the slightly familiar room. Something moving caught her eye, and Sage’s head whipped towards it. She was startled to see a human in just their skin staring back at her. They were on the floor, peering at her from across the room. How had she failed to notice their entrance? How long had they been there? Her lips pulled back, and she was startled when the person did the same at the same time. Her lips sunk back over her teeth, and so did theirs. She tilted her head to the side, and so did they. There was a grunt, and the human moved as if they, too, had grunted, though she hadn’t heard them do so.
Their eyes were a bright silvery-gray. A top their head was long, natural bright red hair quite similar to the colour of her fur. How peculiar. She twitched her leg and came to find that the human did so as well. They both watched each other warily, and soon Sage was trying to make her way closer to the human. The human did so as well, and they both paused. Why didn’t the human just get up and walk as most others did? Why mimic the exact same motions of the wolf girl? Her lips pulled back in warning, and so did the human’s.
Sage needed a few extra minutes (more like an hour) –and some cautionary moving towards the “human”- to finally figure out that it had just been a reflection. A large mirror ran along most of the wall, and the wolf girl stared at herself in it. The body appeared mostly healthy. Thank god Kyon had taken her in when she had; otherwise the wolf would have never survived. While the skin was generally a pale cream colour, there was an underlying tone of sickly gray. Around the eyes it was slightly shaded from lack of sleep which had barely been noticeable in her wolf form. Her neck was curved nicely, and wasn’t too long as it made its way down to the slightly too-prominent collar bone. Her breasts were a fair size, and were tipped in light pink nipples. Ribs became quite obvious, and had she known how to, she could have counted them. The stomach curved inwards from bad eating, and possibly worms. Her thighs had some fat on them; muscles could be seen moving under the skin, hinting at powerful legs for running. The arms were also fairly muscles, though she was lean rather then buff. Nonetheless, whenever she tensed, her muscles would reveal themselves slightly from under her smooth creamed skin. The only flaws of her skin were old scars from beatings and the scabs from her scratching at the damned fleas. All in all, she looked like a rather fine specimen.
The wolf was still inspecting herself by the time she heard the door open. Her ears tracked the sounds of Kyon making her way around the room until they ended at the bed. Slowly, the sharp, tangy scent of blood reached the girl and caused her stomach to growl.
Thankfully the door was open, and the wolf girl did her strange crawl-drag thing to the living room towards the scent. Unfortunately, she only found it to be remaining blood on weapons she’d long ago learned to stay away from. She glanced up at the vampire on the couch. Ignoring the growling in her stomach, the girl crawl-dragged her way over to the couch and lay down beside it, drifting off to sleep like the vampire.

The smell reached Kyon before any sensation or realization of what was really going on. Her head lifted off of the couch and she sniffed at the air, though her eyes remained closed, heavy from too little sleep. It wasn't a familiar scent at all, it was like cooking meat, but more rancid and stale. Grumbling softly, she pushed herself onto her elbows, forcing her eyes open a crack. Light flooded her vision the next moment and she dropped back to the couch, pressing her face into the cushion with a hiss. Suddenly, her back felt hot, burning, as it occurred to her that she hadn't closed the blinds that night. That stench now made sense; it was her own skin being singed by the sunlight.
For a few moments, she lay there, her body starting to shake a little as pain built up her in skin. Admittedly, she was a bit of a masochist and her allergy to sunlight fascinated her to no end. However, she thankfully had enough self preservation to get out of the light before too much damage was done. When the pain grew almost unbearable, the vampire jumped to her feet, accidentally stepping on Sage, who she hadn't realized was sleeping right next to the couch. A small yelp of surprise left her and she stumbled off to the side, clasping a hand to her mouth.
She spared only a glance for the werewolf, sure that she would be fine; Kyon didn't weigh too much and she hadn't stood on the wolf too long. Clasping her arms over her chest, the woman dashed to the window then pulled down the blinds as fast she was able. There was very little sunlight still breaking into the living room, but it was too much for Kyon's comfort and she walked stiffly to the bathroom, her hands hovering an inch over the skin on her arms which stung like hell.
Ignoring the wolf on the floor, now staring up at her, she dropped onto the bathroom floor with a bottle of aloe in hand. Hissing and gasping softly, she unscrewed the whole top of the bottle then poured most of its contents onto her back and chest, pulling a relieved, drawn out sigh from her. She then stretched herself out on the cool tile, faced down, ignoring how dirty the floor would be; it just felt so nice against her irritated skin.
The killing last night no longer lingered in her mind as it usually did the day before, as the pain overpowered any sort of joy she would have gotten from the thought of murder. Never did she find any sense of enjoyment out of injuring herself, but she found that sometimes she couldn't help it. Most of the time, she blamed her need to feel pain on her childhood, for in none of the houses that she had lived in had she found more than a few days reprieve from physical hardship. Even her vampire foster parents had tried to starve her from time to time when she'd acted badly, and she'd then wander out in the middle of the day to find some food. Of course, she always went back inside before her skin was anymore damaged than slightly pink, not wanting her 'parents' to catch onto what she was doing, but she also often came back empty handed, and when she did manage to catch something, it would usually be a chipmunk or other small animal.
There was little reason for her to have inflicted that sort of pain on herself that morning, though she suspected that most of the damage had been done before she had even woken up. Perhaps it was her psychosis getting worse, or maybe she was trying to experience the one thing that reminded her of having parents. The latter, if true, would make her feel so pathetic. Kyon didn't need parents, as they would be useless to her now; she already been fucked up plenty by previous households and no amount of mothering or fathering was going to fix her now. At least she'd never had to seriously deal with siblings. Her bother she scarcely remembered and tried every day to forget more, the pitiful little underling that he was.
Groaning quietly, the vampire pushed herself up a bit to look out of the bathroom door and to the wolf. "Sage," she called out, tilting her head with a bit of difficulty to get a better view of the room. "Go back to sleep if you want, darling. I'll be fine." With a grunt, she dropped back down to her previous laying position, giving up trying to see the girl. If she was concerned, she could try to pull herself over here to... what? Help Kyon? There wasn't much she could do. Not that the vampire wanted any help, all she was really interested in was laying there, cooling off and healing; waiting for the pain to go away so that she could get up and go about her regular business, whatever that would turn out to be for the day.

The wolf-girl yawned and sniffed. There was a strange smell in the room. She couldn’t quite register it though; all that was really registering through her head was the warm sunlight trickling over the couch and warming her cooled skin. Her eyes fluttered open to see the unfamiliar pale/peach skin of her arm. After a few moments of confusion, she lifted her head and gave a small whine to see Kyon’s back rather quickly blistering. The vampire seemed to notice as well, and she awoke with a start, accidentally stepping on the girl in her rush to close the curtains. Sage really didn’t mind, her worry was on the scorched scent that was taunting her nose.
Her eyes followed the woman as she made her way to the bathroom, applied a strange lotion –whose scent took a while too long to reach her-, and finally sunk down to the cool tiles. The girl’s head tilted to the side in slight curiosity, and another whine escaped her throat. ”Sage, go back to sleep if you want darling, I’ll be fine.” The girl’s silvery eyes spoke volumes; she was definitely not convinced. She shook her head side-to-side slightly to indicate this further. Glancing over her own body with her eyes, another whine escaped the wolf in a human’s body. What could she possibly do to help in this form?
Internally, she flinched from the idea, but by the time it’d crossed her mind, she’d already made up her decision and she could feel the change coming back to her. She whined again, closing her eyes tightly as her skin itched and then felt as if it were being stabbed by trillions of tiny needles. Of course, with her closed eyes she couldn’t see it, but the fluffy and course fur was bursting through her skin, probably breaking a few tiny veins since there were a few trickles of blood. All the wolf-girl could really do was to try and ignore it all. Two changes within twenty-four hours was definitely going to take a strong toll on her body. About five minutes had passed, and Sage was shaking on her less-then half transformed body's side. Thankfully (sort of) she had nothing in her stomach to regurgitate, since she really wasn't in the mood to vomit everywhere. There was a loud snap, and the wolf-girl cried out and then became silent as darkness furled around her. The pain had been too much this time, and with how weak she was from the last change and a lack of food, she couldn't possibly have handled it.
She woke about twenty minutes later. She was sore, which was a given, and incredibly dizzy. Despite it all, she was glad to be back in her normal fur. The wolf stood and shook herself, pausing a moment to make sure she wouldn't flop over. There was an angry growl from her stomach, but she ignored it as she wobbled over to the vampire. Her wet nose gently nudged her, and a soft whine escaped the canine's throat. Her silver-green eyes glanced at the fading red burns, and she made her way over and began gently licking it. The aloe created a funny taste and feel on her tongue, but she didn't mind. Animal saliva had a few healing components; that plus the vampire's own rapid healing would hopefully heal the burns a bit faster.
When she was done, her head rose, and she licked her lips, ears perking forward. Her nose twitched slightly as if she smelled something, and then she made her way beside Kyon and curled up against her naked body. Her ears remained erect, and she glanced up at the vampire's face and made a small noise in the back of her throat. There was a small grumbling from her stomach, and she shifted again, then laid her head onto her paws, tilting it towards the vampire's body.

Kyon couldn't see the way that Sage looked at her nor the change start to happen, as the door frame blocked her view, so that whining/whimpering that came from the wolf confused the vampire for a moment. That was until she started to hear the snapping, and one loud one in particular that must have been incredibly painful, as it caused the girl to cry out, and probably pass out, seeing as she had gone completely silent. A tiny smile had found it's way onto Kyon's lips, having listened to those sounds of agony coming from Sage. Soon though, she was reminded of how much an animal, not human, the girl was, and her face fell to a much more concerned expression. It wasn't worry so much for if the wolf would wake up, it was the worry about what state the girl would end up in. If she had passed out mid-transformation, she might be stuck that way, though the woman couldn't be sure as she really knew very little about wolves. However, this thought was dispelled a minute later, the sound of cracking and tearing coming from the living room, indicating that Sage was still changing, despite her lack of consciousness.
Not bothering to find a way to comfort the werewolf right then, too wrapped up in her own predicament, Kyon laid where she was, on the cool tile. She stayed silent in that position for the entire 20 minutes that Sage was out, as she didn't want to move and end up irritating her skin even more than it was currently. The skin, she could feel, was starting to scab over a bit, and she was certain that if she flexed it too much, the crusted over skin would break and open up the wounds, letting the aloe in and perhaps causing her more pain, and slowing down the healing all together. She really was a busy woman and she couldn't be slowed down by her own stupidity. If she didn't get healed up and rested that day, what would her boss do if he needed her to off someone right then and there and she was still too much in pain to do so?
Thankfully, she didn't have these thoughts to linger on too long as Sage finally awoke. The vampire could hear her walking to the bathroom with a very unsteady, four legged gate, and once the wolf entered the room she was glad to see that the girl was a fully-true wolf and that she looked a bit content, even if there was still hunger in her eyes. At the nudge and whine from the animal, Kyon lifted a hand with a pained grimace spreading over her face, to pet between the girl's ears, rewarding her for coming to check on her new owner. With a thump, she let the arm fall back to the tile and lay still as Sage licked her back. She could feel goosebumps rise on her skin wherever the wolf's tongue touched, but she couldn't tell if that was a good or bad thing, and so she shrugged it off, not really caring to figure it out. Though when the were did stop to lay beside the woman, her back was starting to feel even better.
"Thanks girl," the vampire muttered, stretching out an arm and wrapping it about the girl's neck. "I'll feed you once I've healed up, mmkay?" Sighing deeply, tiredly, Kyon shut her eyes and fell limp against the tile and the werewolf, letting her body do what it must for the moment to restore itself. The seemingly slow rate at which her skin repaired itself annoyed the woman to an extent, having never known how slow it was that human's healed, yet she knew that there was little to nothing that she could go to speed up healing, and so she was forced to deal with the wait. And right then, she knew that it would be an especially long wait. A good 40 minutes later and Kyon was finally feeling close to normal. Her back was a bit painful still, almost burning slightly in some paces, but it was bearable, and sitting up- after pulling away from Sage- she could see that her chest was nearly completely healed up, the skin there was merely flushed pink. Smirking softly, the vampire stumbled to her feet, grabbing onto the sink for a moment for support, before she made her way out of the bathroom. She spared a single glance for the trail of bloody clothes, and the weapons by the door, then she went to the kitchen, to the refrigerator. and took out the steak that was missing a small chunk that she had given to the wolf earlier. "Food time," she called half-heartedly to Sage, moving to the sink to get herself a glass of water, as she was starting to feel very thirsty.

At the mention of food, the wolf’s ears perked up; though she didn’t bolt, from her position beside the vampire, to the kitchen. Sage was more concerned at how weak Kyon appeared. The poor vampire went completely limp after telling her that, the werewolf whined and inched closer still to the collapsed woman. Her ears lay flat along her head, not in anger or fear, but in sympathy and some sadness. In the coming silence, the wolf lay her head on the cool tiles, tilting it towards the woman. Her eyes fluttered closed in exhaustion.
Changing, yet again, after barely recovering from the last change, had definitely taken a toll on her. She was weak from both the hunger and from how worn- out her body had become. She really shouldn’t have tested herself like that; it was dangerous and reckless.
She flitted in and out of consciousness, only fluttering her eyes open when she felt the smallest of stirs from the vampire, or when she herself shifted her position to relax her stiffening muscles. Sage was jarred from her small nap when the vampire slowly began to push herself up and away from her. With a groggy yawn, the wolf blinked a few times at Kyon before lifting herself to her feet as well. Her tail brushed side-to-side in a small wag as she watched the vampire inspect her pink back. Her silvery-green eyes followed the female as she made her way out of the bathroom, and soon the werewolf was trailing her.
Noting a glance at the deserted clothes and weapons, the wolf’s nose twitched, taking in the scent of blood. It made her stomach rumble again, and she trotted over to the bloody weaponry, sniffing it. She flinched slightly at the hint of werewolf blood, and her eyes trailed over to the vampire, an almost betrayed look in them. Then the meat was pulled out, and the blood was pushed to the back of her mind as she darted to the kitchen, sitting impatiently. She whined, eyeing up the juicy meat, and shifted forward slightly. Almost as if to back up her whine, her stomach growled loudly and angrily. Her jaws opened and snapped closed with an audible ‘click’, and she whined again.
Basically squirming in anticipation, the werewolf couldn’t help but lick her lips every now and then in an attempt to hold off the quickly pooling saliva. Hunger was something that was almost impossible to ignore. It ripped at her belly, threatening her with nausea. The insistent feeling had become worse now that the scent of food was tantalizing her. Perhaps Kyon wanted some more tricks. With a small bark as she watched the vampire get her own glass of water, Sage lifted a paw in the air, it wavering up and down as she fought to keep it up before it fell back down. Lying down suddenly, she rolled over, and once again on her stomach, looked up at the vampire with pleading eyes.
Had she been more feral, Sage probably would have just attacked Kyon for the bit of meat. As it was, she waited patiently until the vampire would eventually set it down for her. When the steak finally touched the ground, she dove for it, wolfing it down hungrily. Her canines and incisors made short work of tearing chunks separate of the rest of the meat, and then she’d be forced to pause and chew it impatiently on her molars. Within two minutes or so, the steak had disappeared and Sage was licking remaining blood from the area.
With a generally full stomach, the werewolf’s tail began to wag again. She padded in a circle for a second, and then paused to look back up at the vampire as if to say ‘what now?’ It had been about three hours or so since they’d initially woken up. Due to the position the sun would have had to taken, it had probably been around 4 or 5 in the evening for it to be able to actually reach the vampire and scorch her. It being now about 7 or 8, darkness would soon enough be upon them, if it weren’t already.
Remembering the bloody laundry and weaponry in the living room, the wolf trotted off to that section of the apartment. The weapons, she refused to touch, but after sniffing the cloths, once again wincing at the scent of her own kind’s death mingled in with a few humans, the wolf took some laundry up on her mouth, her lips pulling back slightly. Trotting towards the bathroom, she placed the dirty clothes on the floor on top of the dirty towels from the previous day. She returned to the living room to clean the remaining laundry, and they sat down, content, and watching the vampire.
Lying down, Sage yawned again, but otherwise her eyes remained clear and alert on Kyon. A walk would be nice, or maybe doing some work. It was always fun to go tracking or something. Yon had done so much for her; she rather wanted to do something in return. Maybe help the vampire with her job or something. Tilting her head to the side, she gave a small whine, and then her tail began thumping on the floor.

Kyon couldn't help but smile lazily at the wolf's impatience. Sure, she must be starving, yet it still amusing to watch her scoot from side to side and forward a little to get a whiff of the meat that the woman held. And the whinings and clickings of her teeth were just like those of a house broken Labrador, not some beastly wolf. It was the little 'tricks' that Sage started to do that hit her funny bone the most, causing her to spit out a bit of water that she had just taken a drink of as she tried to stifle laughter. The obedient way the wolf rolled over for her was the last straw, and the vampire slowly bent down to place the meat on the floor, a painfully wide smile on her lips.
Touching a hand to the painful tender skin of her chest and holding the glass of water in the other, she stood there for the time that it took for the girl to finish her meal. It was impressive to see how easily she tore through the relatively tough steak, seeing as it was low quality and had been sitting in the fridge for quite a while. And even though she took her time to chew each bite, she didn't spend long on it, and she practically swallowed it whole. It reminded her somewhat of a python, and the vampire couldn't help but think of how neat of a trick that would be, to swallow your prey clean and whole and then not have to worry about eating for a few months. Though you wouldn't look to attractive after a meal, and Kyon was one to care about appearance.
Sage having completed her meal, the woman turned back to the skin to pour out what was left of her water and to place the cup on the drying rack. She then turned to the cupboard right under the sink to grab up a towel and cleaner, to get rid of any mess the wolf had made, and turned around to see the wolf wagging her tail and staring up at the woman happily. With a soft, bemused shake her head, she dropped down on one knee and wiped up the film of spit and a tiny bit of blood that Sage had left behind, ignoring the wolf for the most part when she left the room to do something else.
Satisfied that the floor was clean, Kyon set the cleaning supplies back in there place and turned to see the wolf's tail disappearing into the bathroom. Upon following her there, she let out a soft chuckle to see that the girl had dropped her bloody clothes on the dirty towel that lay in the middle of the floor. "Good girl," the woman muttered, moving back into the living room as she wondered what Sage must think of the smell of her clothes. She had killed 1... 2... 3, 3 people last night. There had been that rather pleasant looking human male, the bitch of a werewolf that had tried to stop her, then a passed out drunk on the way home, just because she'd felt like it, she also could have drank a bit of his blood, but she just hadn't felt too hungry. Now, there was a bit of grumbling in her stomach, yet she could ignore it, sleep was still heavily on her mind.
For a few minutes, she watched the wolf as she herself was watched. Her own tiredness seemed to be reflected in the way Sage yawned, and Kyon felt the pull of a yawn on herself, but not needing to breath, the urge passed quickly; it had merely been a reflex. The wolf had to pretty exhausted though, having changed for a second time only a couple of hours ago, and the vampire had to admit that she was putting on a fantastic show of being so awake. "Sweety," she sighed, a soft smile flitting over her lips, "I need a bit of a nap, and then I'll see what we can do for the day. Might find us something... fun to do." It crossed her mind that she hadn't received an assignment for a while, so they'd surely have someone lined up for her by now that needed to be taken out. It might be a thrill to carry out her work with Sage, you never knew.
Patting the side of her bare hip, beckoning the wolf to follow her, she made her way to her bedroom, smiling as its familiar smell and darkness greeted her. She pulled off her soiled underwear, pulled on clean ones from her chest of drawers, then slipped under the covers of her bed. Once settled, she whistled softly to get Sage to jump up beside her. After the animal had gotten herself comfortable, the vampire lifted an arm to drape over her middle, not really holding her, just enjoying the contact. Within minutes, the woman was fast asleep, and snoozing as still and lifeless as ever.
Two or three hours later, though Kyon wasn't sure; she was starting to loose track of time as she hadn't checked a clock in ages, she finally woke up. Stretching her arms, the vampire sat up, looking around her room as if to assure herself that she was in the right place. She was and Sage was even there, laying quietly beside her. Slowly, trying not to disturb the wolf, she got out of the bed then went to the bathroom, where she made short work of taking a shower and brushing her teeth to rid herself of the bloodstains that were starting to sink into the enamle. For a short while, she stretched her legs and back as well as she could, limbering herself up for the day (night) ahead of her. She then crept back into her bedroom and got dressed, shirt and pants and all that, finding that it wasn't too incredibly comfortable to walk around mostly naked for more than a few hours.
That was when she finally noticed that the cell phone sitting face down on her nightstand was blinking softly, indicating that she had a message. Curious, she quickly picked it up and played the voicemail. "Hey, Kyon, you know who this is, so I'll get right to it." Ah, yes, she knew exactly who that was, her commander, Jerald. I've got an assignment for you here. You don't need the details, and I've e-mailed you the address where you'll mostly likely find them and a photo. Just get this done within the next few days." Perfect, she needed a meal.
"Get up, sleepy," she teased, poking the side of Sage's muzzle. "we're off to hunt." She didn't wait to see if the wolf got up, as she needed to clean up her gear before they left, just incase it was needed. The knife, she found, wasn't too badly stained, though it had dulled a bit, and she needed to sharpen it for a few minutes until it met her standards. The one silencer she had used was completely busted, it didn't surprise her and it wasn't as if it helped too much, it didn't exactly make the gun whisper quite, if anything it made the sound louder. The other silencer was a dud as well, though she couldn't remember how that one had gotten busted. The gun would still function fine without the equipment, of course, so she wasn't concernced. Dropping the wet knife down on a towel beside the sink, which was filled with pink-ish water, she went to the closet for her jacket. Good, none of the pockets where ripped and it wasn't stained anywhere, that would make it easier for her to hide her intent. This was going to be a fun night.

The wolf was rather contentedly curled up next to the vampire. That was until Kyon decided to wake. While the slight jar of movement really only caused the werewolf's one eye to open a slit, she still gave a small grunt. There was a warring battle inside her between finding somewhere to go to pee, and taking a few extra moments to sleep. In the end, sleep won, and she lay there, ears only half listening as Yon went around the apartment, getting together whatever she needed and getting dressed. Just dimly she could make out the message on the phone, the words blurring in her groggy mind. She gave a small huff, moving her muzzle on the sheets over, making herself more comfortable.
”Get up sleepy, we're off to hunt.” Sage raised her head, ears pricking forward before drawing back in a yawn. Uncurling herself from her sleeping position, she jumped down to the floor and began to stretch. While Kyon finished her preparations, Sage shook herself and sniffed around a bit, then made a high whine in her throat. Trotting to the door, she scratched at it a few times, then glanced back at the vampire. Her tail wagged furiously, excited to be able to go back outside after what seemed like forever. Giving a short, slightly loud bark, she lowered her front end to the ground, watching with impatient eyes until Kyon finally got to the door, about when Sage quickly jumped out of her way.
The wolf was so relieved to finally be outside again. She darted off towards the closest spot of grass and dirt to empty herself, and then she contented herself with sniffing around a bit. Apparently there was a stray cat living around somewhere, because coming up to the side of the building, she received a strong whiff of cat spray, causing her ears to flatten and the wolf to sneeze. Shaking her head, Sage trotted away from the scent and towards Kyon, tail wagging lazily and tongue lolling. The vampire was probably eager to go on their hunting mission, and so was the wolf. Within the first bit of her trot, Sage had broken out in an all-out run towards the vampire, darting around her side, fur brushing up against her leg, then doing a sharp turn to circle around back to her.
An excited bark left the werewolf, and she continued jumping and running around Kyon all the way to the car where she finally calmed down to crawl into the back. Waiting for Kyon, she got up onto the back seat and curled up, watching and waiting intently. Her tail thumped against the seat when Kyon finally got in, and they began driving off. In the back of her little wolfy mind, she wondered where they could be going. To her work area to figure out where to find whoever –or whatever- they were going to hunt? Maybe they even had a clothing sample or something for Sage.
Positioning herself sideways to prevent from falling off the seat on every turn and stop, Sage rested her head between her paws. Driving made her impatient; as far as she was concerned, she was faster (which she wasn’t really) and more efficient to getting to where she wanted. Much better suited then this reeking hunk of metal. With a huff, her eyes closed to slits, and she tried to catch a few more minutes of sleep. The car’s jumping and rocking made that a little difficult for her to do so, but otherwise she was content.
In her half-asleep state, noises seemed to rush passed her, all the while being encompassed by the sounds of engines. A few of the conversations could keep up with her, but they would either fly passed, or melt away in the background. She knew these were from people in other cars, from people outside, but it didn’t really register in her mind. Her hearing focused in on Kyon’s lack of a heartbeat and the slight bit of sub-conscious breathing she was doing. What would it feel like to not breath air? To not need to breathe air. Sage knew that if she were to hold her breath it would sting her lungs after a minute or so, but for a vampire…
When the car stopped, Sage’s head quickly lifted up. Finally! She was beginning to feel queasy. Not at all waiting for Kyon to come around to the side, Sage darted up to the front and slipped out the door before she had a chance to close it. Sticking close to the vampire’s legs, the wolf sniffed the air lightly, taking in the various scents of living things.
((I wasn't sure if they'd just go on the mission or go to headquarters or whatever first, since she hadn't checked her e-mail as far as I know, so I left it kinda open.))

It must be fun to be a wolf, Kyon thought as she watched Sage sniff around then go to the door and scratch it, whining, begging to be let out. As an animal, you didn't have to worry about money or the time of day -when the sun was up-, or even clothes. The vampire didn't relish the idea of running around naked, but as an animal, she believed that she might enjoy it. It would be... freeing.
Walking to the door now, she slipped on her jacket, then slipped one knife in each side of the inside of the coat and the gun in a pocket high up on the inner right pocket. Now pulling out her cell phone, she opened up the door to let Sage out ahead of her. She was a little distracted as she made her way down to her car, as she was checking the e-mail that Jerald had sent her on her phone; cells these days could do everything. At her car, she opened it up, sat down, and had already started the engine before she realized that the wolf was still investigating the smells in the grass that surrounded the parking lot. The woman got up, smiling softly to herself at the girl's behavior, and opened the back door for her. She had to stand there for a minute or so, but the waiting was alright with her, as it gave her time to imagine how she was going to off this human. At least she hoped that it was human and not a wolf, having to kill a wolf in front of Sage would be just... terrible. The girl might just leave her then.
Once the werewolf was sitting in the back seat, and had settled down, Kyon jumped into the front seat, put the address into the built in GPS then they were on their way. They were off to a strip bar, interesting place to frequent. Perhaps this person was the manager or something, or possibly just a sad pervert. Either worked for her. Within a half an hour, then were parked outside of a actually rather classy looking building, even the neon sign proclaiming that it's name was Past Sundown was pleasing to the eye. Just from the appearance of the place, she imagined that it was predominantly visited by vampires, so this man she was looking for was most likely human, as Kyon never got the more important leech assignment, seeing how young she was.
Switching off the car, she checked her weapons, and grunted softly when Sage pushed past her, eager to get to work. Putting on a sweet, almost innocent expression on her face, she made her way to the front door, as she wasn't sure exactly where to find her prey; if he was going to be out on the floor, at the actual bar, or back in an office. She'd just have to search until she found him, which should be fun.
Inside the bar, it was very dark, lit mostly with red and soft white lights which would be kind to more sensitive vision, and the air wasn't smokey with cigars as she had expected, but smelled more of perfume and cologne. Patting her hip to tell Sage to stay close, she went up to the bar, pulling out her phone to pull up a picture of the man. She was forced to stand there for a moment, as all the bartenders were preoccupied with their own customers, most of which were obviously vampires. Once she was finally approached by a skinny, but rather large breasted vampire, she pushed that sweet smile back onto her lips.
"Excuse me," she said to the woman, holding up her phone, "could you tell me where I could find this man? I found quite a few bills that fell out of his pocket, but I never caught up with him." The woman shot her a soft smile back then stared at the cell for a while before her mouth opened in a knowing 'O'. "Yes, he's the owner of the club, Finley Barnes." She stopped to look up at Kyon then quickly smiled again, as if determining that she trusted this other vampire. "He's back in his office, I could get him for you if you'd like." "Oh no," Kyon shook her head gently, "I don't want to disturb him like that, if you could just tell me where his office is, I can slip it in there for him." "Sure," the other woman nodded, "just go to the end of the bar, down the hall to the right and it the second to last room from the end on the left." "Thank you."
After shooting the woman another smile, she followed her directions and soon found herself standing outside of a slick black door with the man's name imprinted in gold on it surface. "Sage," she muttered down to the wolf, "you stay out here until I call you, alright?" She stared down at the creature for a while to make sure that she understood before pushing the door slowly open, so that she could poke her head inside. It was rather nice office, with everything you would expect, except all the items at least looked expensive and stylish. It was a huge contrast to the man that sat in the large, plush chair behind the desk in the room. He was at least 50, and human, and had a rather impressive beer gut that he was able to cover with a well tailored suit. He had looked up at the opening of the door, but only stared at Kyon as she stared back at him herself.
"Yes?" he finally said, his voice deep and smooth. "Uh," the woman paused, slipping into the room and keeping the door closed enough so that Sage wasn't visible. "I was wondering if you'd have a job open." One of Finley's thick eyebrows lifted. "Behind the bar or on the floor?" "Whichever you have a position open for," she said a little bashfully, smiling. "Hm..." The man looked her up and down, assessing her then lifted a hand, beckoning her with one finger.
For a moment, she hesitated then walked over to the human and behind the desk. "I need another bar tender, but as you've noticed, I keep the better endowed girls there. You, don't quite fit the bill, darling, so maybe you could be a dancer. Do you have any experience with that?" "No," muttered Kyon, lifting a hand to her neck, "I could always learn though." Again, the man paused, looking her up and down once more. "Perhaps I could make special arrangements for you." A soft smile had crept over his lips and the vampire knew what he was thinking before he had started moving.
With a swift, fluid motion. Kyon whipped out one of her daggers then pressed it tight to the human's thick neck. "Don't make a noise or I'll slit your throat wide open." His Adam's apple jumped in his throat yet he stared determinedly up at the woman. "You don't scare me sweetheart," he nearly growled, lip curling. "Sure, sure," she muttered, able to smell the sweat and adrenaline stinking up his blood and body. "Sage," she said, turning slightly toward the door. "come on in."

The smells of alcohol, peanuts, sex, and bar food reached the wolf’s nose, all attempting to hide behind the coverage of perfume and cologne. Her head bobbed slightly, better catching the scents that lingered in the air. Reflecting light from the street lamp, Sage’s eyes appeared to glow for the briefest of moments as she glanced up at the vampire. When her tail gave a small wag it was silent and almost unnoticeable before it returned to its down-position. Silvery-green eyes focused on the door, the source of the noise and scents. Somebody with a nicely tuned voice was singing along to a song. For someone who knew the song, they would have said that she –for the voice was definitely feminine- was a terrible contestant to sing it. Her pitch was completely off, and the slur caused by drunkenness was much too obvious. Sage merely heard a high voice, lilting highly, before dropping suddenly. It made her want to howl.
Her right ear twitched at the pat on Kyon’s hip, which resounded in her eardrums slightly painfully. The result was Sage shaking her head, and then moving, almost as though she were flowing, along to Kyon’s side. They made their way silently to the bar. There, Yon began speaking to a bartender, the conversation being completely lost in the noise save for the possible select few who were listening in. Sage was not one of them –that were listening in, that is. The wolf’s eyes and ears were attentively scanning the area.
Had she any sense, perhaps the presence of so many vampires would have frightened her. On the contrary, Sage felt calm, cool, and collected. She generally was when working. The severity of the situation cut into her like a knife, clearing away all sense of playfulness or anything else that would otherwise compromise the task at hand. The werewolf gazed into the throng of people, watching for any inconsistencies that should alert her to danger.
Only when Kyon motioned for her to follow did Sage’s gaze falter for a moment. She gave a cursory glance around before following the vampire out and to a doorway where she was told to wait. Simply to settle Kyon’s worries of her following her in, the wolf lay on the floor, appearing content with the situation. The disappearance of her master caused Sage’s ears to prick forward and her body tense as she listened in to hear what was happening. It was a man’s voice that reached her ears in conversation with Kyon’s. Paying more attention to the situation, Sage acknowledged that the room also reeked of human; another promising factor.
Perverted and twisted words, merely accenting the tantalizing scent of sex hormones raging off the human, caused Sage’s fur to stand on end. The very idea of this human touching her master made the wolf’s lips draw back. That was why, when there was the slight noise of a scuffle, and she was called in, Sage trotted in happily, teeth drawn and snarling quietly. 'You don't scare me sweetheart' the words echoed in her mind, drawing out a slightly louder snarl, emphasized when she snapped her jaws in the air. The click of her teeth was loud, a challenge towards the sweating human in the chair; her teeth were sharp and her jaw strong, with a single tightening of her mouth, she could snap the strongest bone in his body like a twig.
By now the man's eyes were flicking nervously between the wolf and vampire. Perhaps he was trying to decide which death would be more painful; or the likeliness of his escape. None of the options seemed to weigh well in his mind, and one could almost see the glittering of amusement in Sage's eyes. The heavy scent of adrenaline pulled out the hunter in her. Saliva pooled into the wolf's mouth, and dripped onto the floor through her open jaws. Hunger that hadn't been quenched by the steak seemed to intensify her want to kill this man. Her snarl broke into a full-out growl, rumbling deeply in her chest. Impatience warred in her, but she held back, lips sinking back over her teeth at a glance at Kyon.
Despite the deep desire to bite into this man's flesh, Sage wouldn't until Kyon gave her the orders. For now, the wolf was content to watch the man debate which was better; the cut of the knife, or the tearing of her teeth. Her eyes glittered in contempt as she watched his slick skin be nicked by the blade when he moved the slightest bit. The squeal in his throat made it obvious he'd thought Kyon had done it, but Sage hadn't seen her move a muscle. Stalking her way over to him, Sage ran her muzzle on his leg, taking in his disgusting scent. He'd had sex within the last hour or so, more then likely one of the dancers, bartenders, or waitresses; she could smell the female on him, particularly on his lower areas. Just to make him squirm a bit more, she drew her lips back, allowing her longer canines to brush his feverish skin.
After a moment or two of making him uncomfortable, Sage pulled away to lay by Kyon's feet, her eyes switching slowly between the vampire and the human. Ears were pricked, awaiting instruction and command.

A wide grin found its way across Kyon's face once Sage entered. This human wasn't holding up his guard so well anymore, not with the wolf now in front of him. Perhaps if she had let him see that she was a vampire before she had turned the knife on him, he would have been even more panic stricken, but this gradual building of fear was almost better, as it loosened the mind so much more and that high the hunter got lasted longer. She just hoped that he wouldn't wet himself or something, seeing as he already smelled so terrible. God, humans were disgusting.
While Sage made her own threatening display, gnashing her teeth and growling, Kyon merely stood still, holding the knife firmly against Finley's thick neck. He continued to glance between the wolf and the vampire, his eyes growing wider and more frightened with every second as he realized that the situation was growing more and more hopeless for him. However at an overly aggressive growl from the wolf, she shot the animal a warning glance. Don't get yourself so worked up yet, it said. Yet, when she looked back to the man, she noticed that there was a line of blood over his neck where the knife had touched. It pulled a bit of a snarl from the vampire, smelling the blood of the man, and her lips curled up, revealing her fangs. The human had glanced up at her then and he took in a sharp breath. There it was, know he new what was exactly happening. Trapped between a vampire who had a knife trained on your jugular and a wolf down where his genitals could too easily be torn out.
With Sage now laying by her feet, still staring up menacingly at Mr. Barnes, Kyon slowly retracted her blade from the man's neck. "If he makes a sound or even moves a muscle, rip his throat out," she told the wolf. She waited a moment for a sign of understanding from the animal, before moving over to the office door, shutting then locking it. She then moved back to the desk, grabbed up the speakers from beside the computer monitor then placed them as close to the door as she could. Back at the computer again. "How much porn you got on here, yah pervert?" she asked quietly, turning the monitor toward her so that she could better she what she was doing. She flipped through a few files without any results before deciding that search would yield better results and typing in a few key words. "Here we go," she smirked. "You know that you're supposed to label these things 'business meeting' and such, not 'gang bang'." With a snorting laugh, she pulled up one of the longest videos, skipped forward a few minutes passed the 'story telling', turned up the volume pretty loud so that it would mask any sounds any of the three made, before just letting it run.
"Alright," she said slowly, stepping back from the desk then moving away so that she could take in the entire scene of the twitching, sweating, nervous man, and the calm, yet veracious wolf at his feet. "How should I take this?" She lifted an eyebrow to the human then moved forward again, stretching her arm forward to press her blade right underneath his chin. "Of course I won't knock you out, that's no fun at all. But I'm wondering if you want it slow or fast..." The corner of her mouth lifted, letting one fang show, and her knife slid down the side of his neck to his collar. Her head tilted for a moment, listening to the groaning and thumping and such coming from the speakers. "Slow, I think," Kyon grinned, digging her dagger into Finley's skin a bit, creating a bead of blood, bright and vibrant against his pale skin. She could see the look or protest and fear in his eyes, yet his mouth remained shut, as if keeping quiet would make them leave, just because he wasn't as interesting anymore. Fat chance that would happen. Ha, fat... Fitting.
With one fluid motion, the woman leaned in and yanked the tie from around the man's neck. "Sage, keep an eye on him," She then knelt down and tied the garment tight as she was able around the man's huge thigh, so that the wolf could have at him and not infect the rest of his blood with the 'werewolf disease', which would only make Kyon ill if she partook of the same blood. "Dig in," the vampire told the wolf, nodding at the leg. She quickly got back to her feet and pressed her knife hard into Barnes' neck, intentionally drawing blood this time. "So much as squeak and your dead. If you cooperate, maybe I'll even let you live." This was a lie,a huge lie, but the woman was a good actress, he might even think her sincere in this promise.

Fear comes in many scents, despite what some wolves will tell you. There's the sharp fear of sudden adrenaline and panic. There's the fear that creeps in slowly and reminds Sage rather of mouldy soil; it was such fear that one felt when caught in a room with a 'sketchy' person, and slowly sinks wearily against the wall. There's the fear that people feel all the time; the subtle, perhaps self-preserving, fear that causes all of us to give a particular, seemingly normal, person on the street a wide bearth, only to find out later that evening that he shot up a drug store. Each fear had its own particular scent, though each one had a hint of spicey adrenaline. Sage believed that any hunter, human, vampire, werewolf, or animal, could detect the underlying scent of adrenaline. They could pick up that scent, and it would cause their adrenaline to rush. It is ironic that excitement and fear are so close in scents; sometimes it is difficult to differenciate -and when you're hunting a hunter, that could mean life or death.
If this human was a hunter, he was a hunter of sex; a hunter that traced slightly different traces of adrenaline. If he'd ever hunted girls afraid of being touched by a man, their scents would have been nothing compared to this metalic fear that radiated off of him. Underlying on him was the raw smell of sex. Whoever he'd had at some recent point might be glad to know that this human was about to have his innards ripped out.
Horror movies display the innards. While Sage had never seen a horror movie, they definitelly did depict the innards quite effectively. What a horror movie cannot show the watcher is the smell, the taste, the feel. The watcher would never know what it is like having slippery insides pour all over the floor around them, while the shocked vitcim sits there in shock, still alive. Whether they die of loss of blood or the shock is sometimes debatable, but it is certain that, for a time being, they know that their insides are where they shouldn't be -the outside-, and that astonishing fact usually keeps them quiet until death came to carry them away.
While hunters lived off this adrenaline scent, most animal hunters did not. The joys of slipping in innards was lost to them unless it was after the prey was dead. Animals hunted to kill, or killed out of anger. While Sage was mad for this human's wants towards her master, she was not angry with him to the point where she would slowly butcher him. Not unless it was a hunt.
When Kyon tied the man's tie around his thigh, Sage knew that there was no chance he wouldn't make some kind of noise when his leg would be torn open. Her eyes glanced up at Kyon, flashing in the light with her curious stare. They finally caught their prey. It was time to bring it down. The wolf would have much better prefered to hunt him down, actually. To chase him through the woods, darting passed and around him. Circling him. He'd know there was no escape. Finally when she'd catch him, her teeth would sink into his throat. Death would be quick and mostly painless. If he somehow managed to avoid her, then it would make the hunt even more enjoyable. Racing along side him, slashing gashes out of his sides until eventually, slowly, he would no longer be able to even stand. Then she could go for the easy kill and reap her benafits.
This was not hunting. This was senseless slaughter. No art to it at all. The werewolf whined slightly, watching her master before turning her eyes onto the human. It was tempting to just end it all; bite into his throat. She knew Kyon would be angry with her, and it might only end in another human dieing. That wasn't what Sage cared about, so long as they were fun to chase down; so long as they made the catch all the more savourable. She whined again and her ears swivelled in opposite directions before perking up suddenly as her head whipped towards the door. She'd heard foot steps, but she managed to relax when she realized that they were retreating.
Her attention returned to the sputtering human, and she gave a snort of contempt. Nothing should be able to be gashed open without screaming -if not from pain, then surprise. She just hoped he wouldn't make too much noise while Kyon had her way with him. Sage's lips pulled back, and she lunged towards the man, aiming for the tie. Her teeth missed his thigh, and consequently the target, by millimeters. The man's yelp caused her to snarl at him, fur bristling dangerously. She made another snap at his foot, and this time was met by a swift kick to the head. Not only did this shock her merely because she hadn't been expecting her vitcim to attack back, but because the boots were lined with steel. With a snarling roar, she jumped at his foot, ripping and tearing at it, as if trying to puncture the steel.
By now the two were making quite the noise in their little struggle. Her teeth grated on the steel, and the man was making noises of protest every time a claw or tooth raked his foot or ankle. She didn't let up though, no matter how many times his other boot came into swift contact with her skull. It was brain rattling, and eventually the werewolf gave up on the boots and snapped onto the leg. Due only to the amount of fat on it, she was unable to initially bite his whole leg. Somehow her teeth managed to hit the bone, though, and there was a snap. The man let out a cry, and Sage let go, then bit back down slightly further up his leg.
((Yay! Got them both posted! xD ))

Poor Sage, this wasn’t the position that she would have liked to be in. Wolves chased their prey, they hunted in open space where you could run around and let out as much energy as you wanted. Unfortunately that was not how Kyon’s job worked. The deal was that you got it done as fast as possible and with as little witnesses –casualties- as possible. Some other night, when the vampire had not been commissioned to kill she would find a nice open space in the woods and country side and let the girl run amuck after some unwitting human and the woman could always have fun slicing up the victim before letting the wolf have her way with the mortal. The thought sent a happy half-smile across her lips as her eyes drifted upwards, imaging the scene. She was only pulled back to reality as a pressure on her knife alerted her to Finley’s movement. He had tried sliding down away from her blade, but it was too close to his neck and his chin had sustained a nasty gash on it so that even more blood joined the slow trickle down his think throat. “You’re really tempting me here,” she whispered to him, leaning in close, “Mr. Barnes.” Her mouth met briefly with his quivering flesh and she stood straight once more, red now staining her soft lips.
For a few moments, the woman let her dagger play around the man’s neck, staying pressed very lightly on his skin so that the most amount of damage it would do was nick him, unless he started to move about. She wasn’t even really paying attention to Sage anymore, who was still sitting at the large man’s feet, seemingly torn between the instruction to torture and her instinct to end it all right then. Soft footsteps at one end of the hallway didn’t even faze her, as they didn’t approach the office door and merely moved away in the opposite direction. Perhaps whoever it was could hear the ‘love’ sounds coming from the speakers and decided that it was best to just distance themselves from the room until Finley was finished with his, ahem, business.
Finally, the wolf was focused, a sort of growl leaving her throat as she glared up at Barnes, who had miraculously stayed quiet up until now. Was he still so naïve as to think that was getting out of this alive? Obviously, otherwise he would have screamed his head off; at least if he had been killed right then, someone would come and find his murderers. Not that it mattered at all what he was thinking, as long as he stayed quiet. Of course that would no longer be the case once his leg was being torn to pieces, but it would be easy enough to silence him.
When Sage lunged forward, Kyon pressed her blade closer to Finley’s neck, nearly cutting into it. But the bite had missed and the second attempt was punctuated by a kick of the man’s neck. The sound of his foot connecting with the wolf’s skull caused the woman to wince slightly. Steel boots, really? If he wasn’t sitting as he was at the moment she couldn’t imagine that he could lift his fat leg high enough or fast enough to do any damage to anyone and so she felt that he just wore them to give himself a very false sense of security, unless he was afraid of ever being stabbed in the foot. Odd fear if he was… While the girl continued struggling with the man’s boot, clearly trying to render them useless somehow, the vampire stood silent and watched his face, enjoying the way his expression contorted between different colors of rage and anxiety, only planning to move into action once his grunts of protest turned into screams.
And that would be once his leg was in the vice of Sage’s jaw. He let out a yell, yet it was quickly silenced when the woman drew her knife up and flicked it across his face, drawing a deep gash over his cheek, lips, and chin. A bit of a grin spread over her face as he eyes fluttered up to hers. “Oh, sorry darling,” she whimpered in a mocking sort of voice, “let me clean that up for you.” One of her hands darted out –the one holding her dagger-, grabbing a hold of his neck while her other secured itself as best as it could in his thin hair, and she then leaned in, pressing her lips around his. It wasn’t a kiss, she was feeding and it kept him silent, though she was having difficulty not digging her fangs into him to get the blood flowing better, she just forced herself to stretch her jaw wider and suck harder whenever the flow began to stop. Even with his hands now clawing at her back and pulling at her hair to yank her away, she wouldn’t let up, at least not for a few minutes. This was too much fun and it let the wolf have her way with his leg without having to worry about him alerting anyone to the goings on in his office.
After a good four minutes, Kyon finally forced herself to stop. Barnes was looking a bit more pallid from the blood loss, but there was still a good amount of life in him and thank goodness. His mouth opened a few seconds after he was released and the faintest of screams escaped him before the woman had slapped a hand over his mouth, her nails digging into the sides of his cheeks. “Shhh,” she muttered, placing a finger to her lip. She bent over carefully to snatch up her weapon which had fallen from her hand down the front of shirt and pressed it once again to his neck, keeping him frightened for his jugular. “Sagey deary,” the vampire smiled down at her ‘pet’, “would an arm interest you? Or perhaps his other leg?” Finley tried to squirm around at this, yet the dagger to his neck cut into his skin, forcing him to be still so that he wouldn’t kill himself, that was her and Sage’s job anyways.
