Ohmygod. Oh. My. GOD! This had to be the biggest, most groundbreaking news that Jack had ever experienced. Well, in his melodramatic mind, for that current moment, it was. From the moment it happened on his television, Jack had been jumping up and down in his living room, screaming excitedly. "CHRISTIAN WON! BITCH YOU ARE FIERCEEEE!" He shouted, pointing at the tv. Of course, the episodes of Project Runway he was watching were from decades ago, and Christian Siriano was long dead since then, but Jack had followed the re-runs avidly, and Christian for sure had been his favorite.
Running around his glass coffee table, Jack had so much pent up energy, he didn't know what to do. Giggling to himself as he ran out his door, pulling his door closed behind him, Jack headed out of his large house, dangerously close to being a mansion, and ran down the dark streets, singing random notes excitedly. His black leather boots clinked against the cement as he ran, his pink tutu vibrant in the moonlight. Why was Jack wearing a bow tie and a tutu to go along with his tank top and jeans? Don't ask. He just was. And yes, he was very much straight. Thank you.
Within seconds, Jack had gotten to where Amos lived. He raced up the stairs and burst through the door, grinning playfully. "Amy!" He shouted, running inside. "AMY! CHRISTIAN WON PROJECT RUNWAY!" Running into the living room of Amos's house, Jack bounced up and down, bouncing around in his tutu. Collapsing into a chair with a laugh, he ran his fingers through his black hair, straightened and done up perfect, as always. He ran his fingers underneath his sparkling blue eyes, ones like Roxy's, to make sure his eyeliner wasn't running. It wasn't.
Jack had met Amos when his cousin, Roxy Hart, had introduced them, and Jack had taken a liking to annoying the human who seemed to be in his shell a bit. Of course he didn't blame the guy; his cousin was bat-shit nuts. But whatever. Right off the bat Roxy had told Amos he didn't have to worry about Jack, because he didn't feed from humans. In fact, while he was at home watching Project Runway reruns, he had been sucking on blood packets, so he wasn't even remotely hungry.

Amy!
"AMY! CHRISTIAN WON PROJECT RUNWAY!""
Oh god he hated that nickname, ever since he'd met Jack, Roxy's cousin, the vampire had started called Amos by that nickname and he was sure Jack did it just to annoy him which he is sure Jack does on purpose to get some kind of rise out of the human. He watches Jack come running into his loungeroom and bounch up and down. Another person might be shocked to see Jack wearing a pink tutu and bow tie, but not Amos, dressing that way is just the way Jack is; always dressing in some kind of exorbirant way that makes people look at him. He had to admit that at first the vampire had annoyed the hell out of him but he'd put up with it for Roxy. Truth be told that the more time Amos spent with Jack the more comfortable he became been around him, the fact that Jack is a vampire who doesn't feed off of humans helped a lot.
Project Runway? Must be a television show from years back because he sure hadn't heard of it. He had been sitting in front of the coffee table when Jack had run in, writing out some of the notes he had taken in his messy cursive handwriting that anyone else but him could make out. When Jack had come bursting in Amos had jumped in fright and surprise, banging his knee against the glass top as he tried to stand up. When the vampire seats himself down on the chair Amos is still sitting on the floor, his knee still hurting.
"Geez Jack don't do that, almost gave me a fucking heart attack you running in like that". He stretches out his knee a little, the bones clicking quietly. "So what are you going on about? What's so important that you had to come running into my loungeroom?". He didn't mean for it to come out sounding as impatient as it did but right now Amos isn't in the best of moods after hurting is knee and having Jack running into his house.

After Jack had burst into Amos's house and sat down, he noticed that the human had bashed his knee on the table. Biting his lip, Jack cringed a little. Roxy had told him about Amos's vampire attack with his friends, and how he's had back and knee problems ever since. Now he felt bad; Jack didn't mean to scare the poor human. Of all the vampires in London, Jack should be the least one to scare Amos at all.
Standing up, Jack shook out his hair. "Geez Jack don't do that, almost gave me a fucking heart attack you running in like that". Smiling innocently, Jack sauntered into the den, where Amos had his pills. He grabbed the bottle and got a cup of water, bringing them both to him and putting them on the table. "Sorry Amyyyyy," he sang quietly, ruffling the human's hair before sitting back down on the couch. "So what are you going on about? What's so important that you had to come running into my loungeroom?". Jack pulled up his legs, sitting indian style on the couch and playing with the fringe of his tutu. "Well, I was at home, watching this really old show called Project Runway, where designers are given different challenges, and the guy I wanted to won!" The vampire said proudly, giving Amos another grin.
Glancing over to the table, Jack picked up Amos's notepad of messy notes. "Oooh, Amy, what's this!" He asked happily, flicking through the pages of notes, not able to decipher any of it.

Though he didn't feel the need for his pills right now he took one anyway so not to make Jack feel worse than he already did about making Amos hurt his knee on the tabletop, but it couldn't do any harm to prevent the pain getting worse later on. "Thanks Jack". He takes the pill quickly, having never liked the dry powdery taste the pills left on his tongue. "Sorry Amyyyyy". He tilts his head away a little as Jack ruffles his hair, sighing a little. "It's okay Jack, just try to have a little more restrait next time please. I have a few guns around the house, if I'd been near one of them I could have accidently shot at you out of reaction thinking you were someone trying to break into my house". "An old tv show I take it. I don't watch that much tv in the first place but I've never seen it advertised when I have been watching".
He wasn't to fussed about Jack taking a look at his notes, sure that the vampire wouldn't be able to decode his almost illegible writing concerning his work; mainly stuff about the people his boss is looking to have her little bomb squad set upon. "Just stuff from work. It's a mess I know but it's my own form of short-hand that ends up looking just like scribbles... stops anyone from reading it should I accidently lose the notes or someone sees them". Slowly he stands up, a slight twinge in his knee but not a pain as bad as he thought there would be, and sits on the couch."Man I hate have these dodgy knees, least I got a job that allows me to sit down most of the day, last thing I'd need is standing up all day at work".

"An old tv show I take it. I don't watch that much tv in the first place but I've never seen it advertised when I have been watching". As serious as Amos was being, Jack couldn't help but silently grin to himself. The idea of himself having restraint in any situation that doesn't pertain to a woman amused him. He was a blunt person, and Jack liked to have fun. If he was going to be around for awhile, why not enjoy it?
"Mkaaaay, Amy," he said, humoring the human as he looked down at his nails, checking to make sure none of his black nail polish was starting to chip yet. It wasn't. "Yeah, it's a really old show. Don't know why it was on, but it was good."
The vampire looked back at the notes, quirking an eyebrow curiously as Amos explained them. "Just stuff from work. It's a mess I know but it's my own form of short-hand that ends up looking just like scribbles... stops anyone from reading it should I accidently lose the notes or someone sees them". He nodded slowly, understand a bit better. "Mmm, I see... What exactly do you do again?" Jack looked up at Amos, putting the notes back down on the table. "I'm sure sitting all day doesn't really help them either.. probably just makes them stiffen up faster when you're standing," he said, shrugging. It made sense to him.

Even though he had asked Jack to have some restraint he knew perfectly well that the vampire wouldn't, it just wasn't in his nature to be to be calm and still, the thought of seeing Jack try to keep still for even a minute made him smile a little. "Guess that might be a little bit much to ask from you huh? I don't think you could stay still in one place even if your life depended on it". Every time Jack calls him Amy it makes him cringe a little, but he wouldn't say anything about it since he knows that Jack does it just to annoy him."Yeah, it's a really old show. Don't know why it was on, but it was good". "Well with the lock down this city is in perhaps it stops new tv shows from coming in so the stations are forced to play reruns of old shows to fill the air time".
"Mmm, I see... What exactly do you do again?"
Damn it. There he goes running his mouth again about his work. It probably wasn't going to cause any trouble for him if he told Jack and he didn't think the vampire had any ill-feelings towards werewolves. "I work for some werewolves, a securtary of sorts for the head. It's mainly taking notes, answering calls and organising things... nothing as glamorous as your line of work of course but it gets the bills paid, gives me a home and it's simple and easy which suits me just fine". Amos looks at his knees for a moment. "No I guess sitting on the ground didn't help, but it's more comfotable than sitting hunched over on the couch, I'd rather have my knees hurt than my back. Besides it's only when I have to run or I'm outside in the cold that the joints really start to sieze up".

"Guess that might be a little bit much to ask from you huh? I don't think you could stay still in one place even if your life depended on it". Jack laughed quietly, amused. Looking over at Amos, he ruffled his own black hair and got comfy in his seat on the couch. "I don't have a life for it to depend upon, so I guess that's a no for me staying in one spot," he joked, grinning as he stretched his legs out and rested his feet on the table, crossing one ankle over the other.
He nodded lazily at the human's next comment. "Well with the lock down this city is in perhaps it stops new tv shows from coming in so the stations are forced to play reruns of old shows to fill the air time". Jack stretched out his arms above his head, arching his back to stretch out all of his muscles. The vampire leaned back again, resting his head on the back of the couch, looking up at the ceiling curiously with bright, blue eyes.
"I work for some werewolves, a securtary of sorts for the head. It's mainly taking notes, answering calls and organising things... nothing as glamorous as your line of work of course but it gets the bills paid, gives me a home and it's simple and easy which suits me just fine". Well, that shit sounded really boring. "Sounds like a blast," Jack replied, smirking as he looked over at Amos, joking of course. Amos did whatever pleased him, and that was just fine. "How's working with werewolves work out with you seeing my cousin?" Granted, the werewolves probably smelled vampire on everyone, considering they contributed greatly to the population, but Amos definitely had Roxy's sinfully sweet scent about him. Even Jack could tell.
"No I guess sitting on the ground didn't help, but it's more comfotable than sitting hunched over on the couch, I'd rather have my knees hurt than my back. Besides it's only when I have to run or I'm outside in the cold that the joints really start to sieze up". The vampire listened intently to Amos as he spoke. He wondered if Amos had seen a doctor, or a physical therapist or anything about it, or if he just takes pills and leave it alone. "Speaking of which... how do you have a bad back and knees and be with Roxy?" He asked, grinning as he laughed and looked over at Amos. "That bitch is cuh-raaaaaaazy, Amy!"

"Sounds like a blast"
Amos smiles a little, knowing that that kind of
quiet and slow-paced work wasn't the kind of
workplace that Jack would want to be in. "It's a safe job, keeps me inside most of the time and since all of co-workers are werewolves there's also the added bonus of knowing that none of them are going to have the urge to chomp down on me and make me into a lunch break snack which is always nice to know. And the building is pretty well guarded so there's little chance of anyone who's not meant to be in there getting in so that gives a nice sense of sercurity. Nowhere near as glam' and fast-paced as your line of work but to each their own. If I didn't have these back and knee problems then I could well be leading the same kind of life that you do. I actually, before what happended at Hyde Park".
"How's working with werewolves work out
with you seeing my cousin?"
"It doesn't cause that much of a problem really. Sure they can smell the scent on me but I'm not telling Roxy anything they don't me to be telling her so it's okay. I can tell you that most are surprised that I'm spending so much time around a vampire. I'm pretty well known around work for having a strong dislike for vampires so no-one was expecting it... some of them still don't think I'm telling the truth. Think that I must have a vampire holed up somewhere". He shakes his head with a laugh. "Guess they don't know that under this nervous shakey little human frame there can be someone completly different".
"I stay inside most nights now that it's winter and cold outside, the chill air doesn't agree with me as much as a nice heated room does, so Roxy comes to see me here, which I don't think minds that much though I wish she'd stop coming in by sneaking in. When she comes up and puts her hands on me it's scares the bejeesuz out of me because I can't hear her moving around the house. She could just knock. But then again Roxy isn't like everyone else when it comes to most things, she is her own special kind of different"

Nowhere near as glam' and fast-paced as your line of work but to each their own. If I didn't have these back and knee problems then I could well be leading the same kind of life that you do. I actually, before what happended at Hyde Park". Listening carefully, a slow smile spread across Jack's face, one that was very often on the face of his female cousin, Miss Roxanne. With a little shake of his head, Jack let out a quiet laugh. "That... sounds boring as fuck," He commented, giggling to himself as he inspected his nails again thoroughly. "Knowing Roxy, I'm sure she wouldn't mind that at all." With another quiet laugh, Jack stood up.
While still listening to Amos, Jack sauntered into the kitchen, humming quietly to himself as he found a glass. Even over the running of the faucet as he filled up the glass, Jack could hear Amos speaking. "I stay inside most nights now that it's winter and cold outside, the chill air doesn't agree with me as much as a nice heated room does, so Roxy comes to see me here, which I don't think minds that much though I wish she'd stop coming in by sneaking in. The vampire took a drink from the glass and walked back into the living room, shaking his head and giggling quietly again. "That wasn't what I meant, Amy." He sat down and put his glass on the table, folding his legs underneath him and sitting indian style. "I've seen guys not able to use their legs for days after spending a night with Roxy. How does someone with knee and back problems make it through that?" He let out a musical laugh, accompanied with a childish grin.

"That... sounds boring as fuck"
Amos laughs. "Yeah it does sound a little boring but it's better than sitting around the house all day with nothing to do and the money's not that bad either more than I'd get from been on benefits or something. I don't think I could deal working like you do, joint problems or not. It's too much hassle and too much noise. I like been able to have time to relax, let my mind wonder and think things through. I'd love to go out to clubs with Roxy, but then I'd have to compete with all the good looking vampires that would flock to her". He frowns a little. He knows that Roxy will go out to the clubs an feed from the humans and flirt with other males, perhaps even have sex with them but that is simply something about her been what she is that he has to accept. He cannot tell her to stop doing it anymore than she could tell him to stop breathing.
He looks up as Jack stands and walks into the kitchen, and takes the time that Jack is gone to clean up his papers and notes while still talking. When the vampire returns Amos is standing beside the coffee table putting some papers away in a folder, seeing him come back Amos sits on the couch again.
"That wasn't what I meant, Amy" "I've seen guys not able to use their legs for days after spending a night with Roxy. How does someone with knee and back problems make it through that?"
His eyes widen a little, a little flush of embarresment creeping through his cheeks, Jack's laugh only makes him feel that little bit more uncomfortable about it. "She... Well Roxy is gentle. She doesn't want to hurt me, she knows that since I'm human I can get injured and hurt easier than her. Besides I don't get the pains every time I do something that requires a lot of effort. She wouldn't do anything to harm me too much"
