It was a little coffee shop called Biscuits and Lattes that Serenity was sitting at eating lunch. It was around 2 o'clock in the afternoon and the small cafe was a little bit busy since it was the lunch rush. She sat at a small table by the window that looked into the cafe, her green eyes watching the various people walk into the shop for their food.
She took another bite of her rather large croissant turkey sandwich and looked at the newspaper that was was reading. Seemed like the mafia killed another werewolf from the large, bold print on the front of the paper. Serenity sighed and took a sip of water, her lips puckering from the lemon was drowning underneath the ice. She was starting to get worried because the mafia was getting really bloody lately and it was angering the werewolves to the point that Serenity was afraid to step outside and catch one of the angry ones on a bad day.
She wished she could think lucky for her, she was a human and didn't have to worry about all of this. However, her kin was the food for their warring creatures and that's the only thing they viewed her as. No amount of innocence could help you survive in this world. She sighed and turned to the garden section of the newspaper, the only section that always cheered her up.
However, she then felt something brush up against her leg. She froze, her breath hiking inside of her. She pursed her lips together in order not to scream. Her shaking hand slowly reached over and pulled up the clean white tablecloth only to reveal, not a werewolf or a rat, but a dog. Serenity's eyes looked at the dog with relief and confusion, wondering where he or she came from.

Squirrel!! ? Luka had saw a perfect red squirrel, waiting for people to drop a few crumbs here and there. Luka licked his lips as he leaned forward, ready to take off. The squirrel crept underneathed a table where a young female was sitting. Luka padded over to the girl, but not making his presence known quite yet. 'Mm...That smells good. I hope she's not allergic to me. That won't do,' Luka thought as he brushed against the girl.
Trying to read her expression, Luka quickly propped himself up, showing her his collar than read; LUKA. He didn't want her to think he was rabid or something like that. No, animal control would be hell to lose. The werewolf snorted as he realized his squirrel got away. Damnit! That was a warm, nice meal that just got away. Hopefully, he'd come across some roadkill nearby.
Now back to the female. Luka gazed at her with his one eye. He hoped the sun was shining, being colorblind suck after a couple of minutes. 'Time to be the cute dog,' Luka smirked.
The black and white werewolf sniffed her lunch then her. He licked his lips then rolled over to expose his stomach. Hey, if he could get lunch, why not have a belly rub to go with that?
