"Oh yes..." With a deep sigh, Kyon fell back in her seat, hand lifting above her head as she watched it. "You did taste good." Slowly, she pressed her fingers to her lips, feeling the slippery texture of the still wet blood on her fingers, before slipping her tongue out to lick her hand clean. "Just like sugar I suppose." Not that she would really know, as she generally tried to avoid human food. It was terribly unhealthy for vampires to eat much 'normal' meals, so she tried not to eat a bite of any, as she liked to be in the best physical condition, just incase the opportunity for a kill came along. Though she wasn't really looking for another meal tonight, having just consumed the most delicious human's blood. The corpse of the woman she'd taken earlier lay a mile or so out on the field that lay abreast to the road she was now on. She would like to stick around to see when others in the village found the body, but she couldn't risk staying out and letting the sun get her. Instead, she would have to satisfy herself with the human's blood still on her hands.
For a while, Kyon contented herself with suckling on her fingers, but once all the taste of blood was gone, now only the stale, saltiness of her own skin, she found herself growing a little restless. Perhaps just one kill tonight wouldn't be enough. She certainly had enough energy to go after someone new, but there was no one just walking by themselves, and she wasn't keen on sneaking into a stranger's home and pulling the from her bed. That might draw the attention the nieghbor's or other people who lived in the household. And, she wasn't near any houses at the moment, so she would have to drive or walk to a group of homes then take her prey to somewhere secluded. No good.
The Boroughs weren't the ideal hunting grounds, of course. The people were very sparse, but out here there was little to no competition and it was easy pickings. And the wide fields out here gave her such a range to chase people down in. Because, really, the chase was the best part. It gave you the biggest rush of adrenaline, that high that the hunter craved. Kyon hadn't quite gotten to that high tonight, not quite. The woman she'd taken had struggled much, or ran, in fact she'd been near complacent, if you ignored the fact that she'd bawled and pleaded the entire time. If she could just find someone else, someone fit, determined...
"Fat chance," she commented to the open air, rolling down her car windows and resting one of her arms outside of the car. No one replied, even though she had hoped for a second that maybe they would tell her where to find such prey. It was just as quite as ever, the only sounds the faint spring breeze and a few dozen very vocal crickets. She thought that the sound of those insects would be much better if they were little screams of terror, like a symphony of pain. Even she realized that it was a little sick to think, but she'd had a very fucked up childhood, it was only expected that she had a demented mind.
Another sigh left her, this one not so happy, more exasperated and inpatient. The vampire had the itch to hunt, to chase. Not necessarily to kill, but to get her hands in a little more blood, to see that crimson liquid flowing onto the soft earth. The thought made a dreamy expression float over her face, her body relaxing down into her seat. But she quickly shook herself back into alertness, just in case someone came by, so that she wouldn't miss them and they got too far away. Though it was highly unlikely anyone would come by. It wasn't too late, only around 10 o'clock, but Surrey was so far out of the way, it could be deserted until the morning came.
