†Angel†
† General Information †
Full Name: Michelangelo Phoenix Malcon
Nicknames: Angel, Angelo
Gender: Male
Race: Vampire
Age: 39
Age they appear: Mid- to late-twenties
Occupation: Spy
Orientation: Heteroflexible (that is to say, he prefers women but wouldn't be averse to a male)
Health Problems: Only those from his vampirism
† Personality †
Basic Personality: Angelo is the very picture of a well-cultured male. He enjoys quiet evenings and intellectually stimulating conversation. He considers himself quite like Casanova in that he has a bit of a weakness for a woman’s charms—and in that he considers conversation and intelligence just as important in a woman as sex. Being from a family that has been loyal to the Izan for generations, Angel is also very faithful to those he serves, so much so that he became a spy in their service. His superior intellect has allowed him to study body movement, along with his determined nature, his amazing capacity to learn, and his strong thirst to prove himself.
Like anyone, Angel has flaws. He has a tendency to be quite cold; this, combined with an equally strong tendency to assume that others are stupid and to speak to them as such, often comes off as arrogance or conceitedness. He doesn’t hate werewolves, per se—however, you won’t find him inviting them over for tea. As far as he is concerned, however nice a wolf might be, it’s still a dog, and still the enemy, treaty or no treaty. Also, he's been known to be ever-so-slightly paranoid -- an unfortunate side effect from his line of work.
Okay, and he's a little obssessive-compulsive. Most would say he's far too charming for it to matter (this is, after all, the same man who has been called the James Bond of the vampire world).

† History †
History:
Angel was born the only son of well-known lawyer and prominent Izan member Donatello Malcon and his wife, Julia, a playwright; he also had a younger sister, Lily, to whom, it is reported, he was quite close. Being raised in the underbelly of London taught young Angel about life, death, and the shaky peace between vampires and werewolves. However, being that he was from a generations-long Izan family, he soon fell in love with the world of the cultured, structured vampires, and he started to consider asking to be changed.
Angel graduated second in his class from high school and attended Cambridge University afterward. After graduating with honors with his degree in law, however, he decided that he would indeed go into more than just the family law firm—he would become a vampire.
It took several weeks to convince a very old friend of the family to change him, but after the change (which was, by far, the most painful ordeal of his life) was over, no one regretted it. His parents were quite proud; he was the first vampire in the family for several generations, and it very soon became apparent that he would do both the family name and the name of vampire proud.
He’d been a vampire for just under four years when the higher-ups in the Izan started assigning him strange jobs. Seeing his potential, they decided to test him out. The jobs started small: steal this, get intelligence on that, make sure this or that drug or weapons deal goes off without a hitch. Then, things started getting more intense: kill this traitor, gather top-secret information—things that the normal assassins wouldn’t dare to touch because of the danger involved.
But he loved it. He loved doing his duty to the Izan and he loved being the elite. Eventually, he left his law clients to his sister (who had also become a lawyer after their father) and became a full-time spy for the Izan. He continues to be so to this day.

† RP example †
[from my own site, The Spirit of Starfleet. Not my best example, but decent.]
The transporter room was empty when T'Pyn arrived, and she was not joined by anyone but the operator that usually worked there, neither by Spock nor the Captain. All logical, she knew; they had their duties to perform, and they knew that this mission called for a certain amount of sensitivity until the child was safely onboard and settled. She knew how Spock enjoyed him; she knew that he would be here if protocol allowed him.
Dan'faik-fosh. That was what the Vulcan word was for her role to the child. The literal translation was "Foremost Defense," and it was the word ascribed to a child's primary guardian. The child's mother had abandoned him, and his father had disappeared. On Earth, he would have been passed to Kyle Withrow, his uncle and T'Pyn's father; but Vulcan law passed children to their next relative by blood, not marriage, and so guardianship of little Devon Blackwell passed directly to T'Pyn.
She would have left him in the care of her father, whose skills with children she trusted and whom she knew would be thrilled to have another child in the house (S'Lan and T'Pyo had long since left the house to start their own lives, and the deaths of Lirau and Kylie had made him very lonely), had it not been for the circumstances. As it was, she could not leave him without her ample protection. After the first attempt on the life of S'Lan, Starfleet agreed with her.
He'd been walking home from his classes at his scientific university (he had been attending the Vulcan Science Academy before that dark day) when they ambushed him. If it hadn't been for the extensive training in tel'shaiya, he may have been bested by them. After the attack, Starfleet decided that the safest place for Devon was with his Dan'faik-fosh, T'Pyn, onboard the USS Enterprise.
"USS Enterprise to Starbase 013," the operator suddenly said. "Starbase 013, do you copy?"
"We read you, Enterprise," came the voice from the other side. "Is Lieutenant T'Pyn with you?"
"This is Lieutenant T'Pyn," she interjected.
"Aye, Lieutenant, but we'll need you to answer a certain question for security reasons -- When you were in the Academy, you and Nyota Uhura were in a certain play -- "
"Les Miserables. I was assigned the part of Eponine," she said, having already been informed of the question beforehand.
"Very good Lieutenant. Enterprise, are you ready to recieve?"
"Aye, sir. Prepped and ready," the operator said.
"Very good. Energizing."
T'Pyn drew a deep breath, knowing that something interesting (and probably at least a little illogical) was about to take place in her life.
