General Guidelines

Even though rules aren't the greatest, they're needed for a RP to run properly. Please at least read and try to abide them, because otherwise some sort of punishment may be necessary.

OOC Rules:

• It doesn't matter what you do out of character, but... –

  Just use common sense, and you should be all good. If you have problems with another member, PM a staff member and we'll do out best to resolve it. We do not care what you talk about in OOC. Have a discussion about toaster ovens if you wish do to so. It really does not matter.

  
  
• Swearing and caps –

  Are allowed both IC and OOC. If you do not agree with this, then perhaps this site isn't the site for you.

  
  

Account Rules:

• Signatures –

  If your signature stretches the forum (which is over 500px in width, usually), it will be resized by a nifty code that we have. If not, staff will probably take it down or edit it, or ask you to edit it. No warnings will be given.

  
  
• Avatars –

  We also have a code where you can have a larger avatar than 100x100. We'd prefer that if you do have a bigger avatar that it's 100x200. Example. If your avatar exceeds the limit, you may find that a staff member has edited it for you.

  
  
• Only one character per account –

  There is no limit to how many accounts you can have, but try not to flood the site with 12 inactive accounts.

  
  
• No sharing accounts –

  Accounts in proboards are free and thus there is absolutely no reason why you should need to share accounts. If we discover you are sharing your account, you will be asked to create a new account, or it will be deleted. However, multiple IP addresses are understandable.

  
  
• Usernames –

  We'd prefer if your username was the same as your character's.

  
  
• Post your bio –

  If you do not post your character bio within a week of joining, we'll assume you're one of those people who join just to irritate us. You do not want to be one of these people.

  
  

RPing Rules

• Spell Check –

  Try to have half decent grammar and USE the spell check. There's no reason to have spelling errors in posts.

  
  
• Post Minimum –

  The post minimum is 200 words. It's not that long, really. And no, you do not have to count each word. Beneath the Preview and Spell Check buttons, you will see a word counter. Nifty, eh? Also, the code will not allow you to post in IC boards unless the post is 200+ words.

  
  
• Activity –

  If you're not an active member, chances are that you won't be able to become a part of any good plots or RPs. At least try to post once a week, and if this is not possible, post in the absence board to let us know. If you suddenly disappear without doing so, we'll assume you're dead or something, and your account will most likely be deleted in an activity check.

  
  
• Liquid Time –

  Liquid time (being in more than one thread at one time) is allowed.

  
  
• Posting –

  Posting can be done in first or third person.

  
  
• Powerplay & Killing –

  Powerplay is fine as long as all RPers involved agree with it beforehand. Same goes for killing.

  
  
• Sexually Graphic RPs –

  ...is not allowed on Proboard forums. Read here for additional information.

  
  

Character Rules

• 'I read yer miiiind!' ...No –

  Do not have your character read minds in RP. For example, no character should have suspicions about the character Damien and assume he's the Head of Izan unless given good reason.

  
  
• God? ... No –

  Sorry to say, but no character is God. Don't RP like one.

  
  
• Species Info? ...Yes –

  Have your character pertain to the given species info.

IC Chat Rules

• It's simple, really –

  It's basically one rule - IN CHARACTER CHATTING ONLY. Sweet and simple, no?

  
  
• No major events will be RPed in the IC chat –

  This is here solely for your entertainment, not as another RPing board.

  
  
• Only members are allowed to post in the IC chat –

  Do not post in the IC chat if you're not a member here. It will only be deleted.

  
  
• And remember... –

  If you have a 45x45 avatar for the IC chat, it must be an image of your character.
  

  
  
• No R Rated scenes can be RPed in the IC chat –

  Or anywhere else, for that matter.

  
  
• A lesson on common sense -
  

  The IC chat is for every member so if everyone can't participate in the current setting you have then guess what? It's not allowed.

Cbox Rules

• Simple: no spamming, no advertising, no flaming.
  
• NO fighting. If you must, use the PMs.
  
• Do use all a favour and don't be an asshole.
  
• If you disobey any of these rules, do not be surprised if you are banned from the cbox. It is a privilege and isn't meant to be abused. Consider reading these rules as your warning.
  

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask a staff member (Akree or myself). At least one of us is usually online , but please do read the FAQ before asking anything, because it may have already been answered there. And don't worry, I'm not really that harsh... I was just trying to be intimidating. So... is it working?
