The moon was high in the sky, with no clouds to be seen. A cold wind blew through the trees, making the branches rattle, while the grass bent to the will of the breeze. Her paw steps were quick and light as she raced through the woods, dodging trees here and there, taking glances behind her every now and then. I think I lost them, she thought to herself, even though her paws would not stop. Suddenly she made it out of trees and into a small clearing. Her head was still watching over her shoulder, when she ran right into a metal fence, knocking her backwards on the ground. She let out a whimper as the pain seeped through her body.
Lifting her body off the ground she shook her head, trying to regain her bearings. Her deep blue eyes lifted up towards the gate and beyond to the castle that stood behind it. It's the Windsor Castle, she thought to herself. I've only heard of it, I never thought I would ever reach this spot. Taking a few steps back, she examined the height of the gate and knew she could clear it easily, but then her gaze was caught by the moonlight and instantly she gave the appearance of a statue. Mesmerized by the moon every time she saw it. Her mind went blank, and her pupils were dilated with a white reflection. Her breathing was slow, making small puffs swirl in the night air. Unfortunately Evyon would have stood there forever had something not startled her.
Spinning around she cast her gaze into the woods once more, seeing the trees rustle and hearing another set of steps nearing her. Without another thought she whirled around and cleared the gate, sprinting for the castle. Maybe they won't find me in here, she thought as she reached the front door. Ignoring her slight fear she stepped inside, leaving the door cracked open as she disappeared into the dark. Her nails clicked on the stone ground as she moved into the entrance hall and examined her surroundings. It was very boring and empty, with nothing left to offer. Evyon unfortunately was not able to blend in with her sand colored fur, so she stuck out like a sore thumb. That's why whenever someone was after her, there was no point in hiding, only running and running was what she did best.

The wind blew into the cracks and opening around the castle. It seemed to sigh with it's old age. The castle had long lived out it's glory days, but it still refused to fall. It served as a house for the unseen and night life. The moon gave it a beautiful haunting appearance. Despite it's crumbling walls it kept a majestic look. The moon light filtered through the windows, some occasionally broken. Inside it was fair, but slightly thrown about from random robbers who tried to find some hint of a treasure.
Within the castle ,a larger than average wolf, lay sleeping quietly on a worn out couch. At one time it could of been crimson and outlined with golden thread, but it had lost it's glamor. The wolf had his head laid between it's large paws as he rested. The moonlight fell on fur that was golden on top and then white on his underbelly and legs. His ears remained on the alert for trespassers as he laid there quietly. He enjoyed chasing off the silly humans as they tried to loot that place. It may not be his home, but it was something to do in his temporary sleeping place.
A couple of minutes had passed and he heard a clatter outside. Eyelids open to reveal blue eyes that could penetrate the soul. He yawned and stretch before jumping off the couch and landing quietly. He was walking on the second level awaiting the visitor when the doors of the castle opened and to reveal a sandy colored wolf. He determined her as a werewolf for her size. She seemed slightly frightened by something. Perhaps she was running from something. He was curious.
Already he knew the castle well. He took a passage that took him to the same level as the female and walked in stealth in the shadows. He took a seat in the shadow of a pillar and observed her quietly. The only noticeable thing were his eyes. Even in the dim lighting, his polished sapphire seemed capture every bit of light.

Her blue eyes looked around the stone walls as she stood in the entrance hall, examining her surroundings. What is this place? Her ears were perked to listen for her followers, but nothing seemed to be happening at the moment. Her heart began to slow down as her excitement settled. It had been fun being chased, it always was, but it was over and she could relax. Taking a deep breath she held it before letting it go and shaking her head. When she did she jingled slightly because of the large earring in her left ear, and her fur fluffed up more than it already was. While she stood there her nails began to grind against the stone floor, her worst habit.
Suddenly something caught her attention and she began to walk towards it, her eyes wide in the dark. What? Looking at a stone structure in front of her she stared at it, with a strange realization. Leaning forward she sniffed the statue and walked all around it, unable to think of why it felt so familiar to her. She let out a long sigh before shaking her head slowly and walking in a different direction. Seeing a staircase, she decided to see where it led to and began up to the next floor. How big is this place? She wondered seeing the number of doors lining the walls, but instead she turned and walked along the balcony that shone down upon the entrance hall and suddenly she saw something.
Her low growl rippled through the room, bouncing off the stones. It can't be one of them. They aren't wolves, are they? Her fur bristled on her back as she placed her front paws on the railing and leaning forward to see what was in the shadows. Pulling her hind-quarters up onto the railing she walked along it until she reached the stairs once more. Hesitating slightly, she slid down the railing and slid across the entrance hall, her gaze always staying on the blue eyes in the shadows. Being the curious one that she was, she walked towards it slowly, her breathing slow and her tail curled up like a husky. She always did this incase she had to fight, she felt like it gave her more balance.
