The sun wasn’t even down yet, and Kyon was already out and about. This mightn’t have been the best idea, seeing that despite it being cloudy, as usual, enough sunlight still shining through as it set to irritate her sensitive skin. She was used to the pain of it at least, and she supposed that at the moment it hurt no more than a minor sunburn would for a human. Besides, the feeling would go away quickly enough once she spent a few minutes inside a building, thanks to the amazing resilience of her skin. It was too nice of a day to pass up anyway and she really had to get out of her apartment; the place had been feeling too small lately.
At the moment, the woman was enjoying a nice walk down the sidewalk, just looking around her. From time to time, she noticed people stare at her as she walked past, but she just supposed it was because she looked so damn nice today. If she had been anywhere else, she would have felt out of place in her short, but flowing grey dress, tall purple heels, and with her hair pulled up on top of her head. She felt wonderful in the outfit anyway and honestly, she did appreciate the stares; they validated how amazing she was. And it would be all for the better if she attracted someone to her with the way she dressed. In this part of town, she expected that they would be someone classy, someone with a more than decent amount of money, and someone who was possibly stuck up. She loved killing those sorts of someones, or at least messing with them and taking their money, even though she didn't need it.
Perhaps she should spend some of the access money she had accumulated. Stopping at a window of one of the very few retail shops out here in the Barbican, she pulled out her wallet from her purse, wondering how much she had brought with her today. 458 pounds. That was enough for her to have a bit of fun. Putting her money away, she looked into the shop, wondering if there was anything intriguing on display. It was a jewelry boutique, so there were plenty of beautiful and shiny things, but right now, she saw only one thing she thought was special enough to spend any money on.
Lifting a hand to make sure that her hair was staying in place, Kyon moved away from the window to move through the front door. Shifting her purse for easier access, she moved straight to the display housing a beautiful pair of pearl and diamond chandelier earrings. "Do you need any help?" She looked up at a woman's voice and smiled up to the human who was standing behind the counter, smiling right back. "I'd like those earrings please," she said, pointing just for clarification. The human unlocked the case and then reached in to pull out the jewelry. "These?" Kyon nodded. The woman smiled. "Is there anything else you're interested in?"
"No," the vampire said sweetly, "that's all for today." The woman muttered in understanding and then moved around the register, where Kyon paid for the earrings, honestly for once, since it only cost 350 pounds out of all that she had on her in cash. And it was completely worth it. As she left the store, she pulled off her small crystal earrings and placed them in her purse before taking out the new ones from their slim, velvet lined case and putting them on instead. She had to stop on the sidewalk for a few seconds to admire herself in the small mirror of the compact she always carried with her. She thought that she looked even better, those earrings were beautiful! Now she just needed somewhere to show them off.
Scooting to the side of the walkway to let an older werewolf past, she looked around to see if there was anywhere that would be popular as the night wore on. There was a rather nice looking restaurant across the street and a few people were milling around the entrance while a small group was walking through the door. There had to be plenty of supernaturals in there and if she was lucky a human or two that she could bring home; she hadn't been able to do that in a while and she missed the fun! She could bring a wolf or even another vampire back with her, but they never seemed to be as much fun, though wolves would usually try to burn her in the morning and that could always turn out interesting.
Putting on a sweet, innocent, "I'm a spoiled daddy's girl' façade, she practically pranced across the road, pulling her purse closer to her so that it wouldn't bounce around on her hip. Stepping up to the building's front door, she grinned as a young man opened the door for her, thanking him and taking in his smell before moving through the doorway. A hostess greeted her then and led her into the dining room, seating her without sparing any time on small talk since they must be having a busy night. Kyon appreciated that; she hated having to humor people with the idea that she actually cared what they had to say.
Settling herself into her seat, the vampire took to scanning the room for anyone especially interesting. The room was full of so many smells, mostly of vampire and werewolf, little of human, that she wouldn't be able to tell each species apart from where she sat and that meant she'd just have to guess. She was slightly disappointed to see that many people were not here alone, they were either in couples or in small groups. She needed someone who would at least not be missed if they left their table. Eventually, her eyes rested on an older looking man, grey-haired even, but he looked irresistibly wealthy despite him not being dressed much different than the other man in the room. He carried himself like a rich man, and she loved that. After thanking a waiter who handed her a glass of wine that she'd ordered earlier, she turned her eyes back to the stranger across the way. Lifting the glass to take a sip, she didn't try to hide the fact that she was staring at him and that she was very interested in saying "Hello."

William had had one of those days where he was glad to just leave his office and get out in the world. Which was probably why he had left well before anyone else and had entered his waiting Rolls Royce whilst loosening his tie as he did so. "Where to sir?" His driver looked in the mirror and through the open partition at his boss, taking in the loose tie and slightly rumpled look that was highly out of character for the werewolf. "Take me to a good restaurant." He was waved off and the driver simply replied with a 'very good sir' and closed the partition window and pulled away from the curb, heading towards a restaurant that had received some good reviews lately- he just hoped they were good enough for the man in the back of the car.
William himself had poured himself a glass of whisky and was sitting leaning back into the leather seats swirling the liquid around the glass deep in thought. It had been a very long day and he had received the most disturbing of news. One of his own employees was seeing a human! And not just any human...one he had had his sights on for the last year and one he would take great pleasure on getting rid of. The thought that one of his own had stooped so low as to be with a human was enough to make him feel sick. However, he would fix it just like he fixed everything else and then the world would be right again. It would be in perfect order and that was what he loved most.
It took him a moment or two for him to come back to reality and realise that the car had stopped moving and he looked up as the driver opened his own door and got out, moving around the car to let his boss out. William used this opportunity to straighten himself up and finish his drink- afterall, he was going out into the public as himself and as such he must look immaculate...not that it would be any other way of course, he rather hated being messy and disheveled. The driver opened the door and he stepped out onto the pavement, pulling his jacket down slightly before heading to the door where the man opened it quickly.
"Good evening Mr Pearce," As soon as William had stepped through the doorman started to make erratic hand signals to the head waiter who as soon as he realised why his staff was going a little mad had moved quickly to the front of the restaurant where he practically rubbed his hands together at the sight of one of the most influential men in London. William ignored him and headed towards a table without waiting to be shown one, choosing his own table and sitting down at it.
"What can I get for you sir?" The simpering water was back at his elbow and William had him dispatched quickly to get him a bottle of 'the finest and most expensive wine you have'...
Whilst waiting for his wine William amused himself with looking about the room whilst not actually appearing to be doing so. Many of the people here were couples but that made no difference to him since he liked to people watch and see how many of those in the building were supernatural or who was human. His thoughts were interrupted as a pretty waitress came up to him with a bottle and glass on her tray. As she bent over the table slightly he sniffed slightly only to wrinkle his nose at the smell of human but as she straightened up again he had schooled his face into perfection once more.
Now, William was as racist as they came but he liked pretty things. He liked owning beautiful things and since he had more money than he knew what to do with he could easily afford anything he ever wanted. Even women. Although it wasn't as fun to buy a woman than to find one out and woo her...and then slowly destroy her. He wasn't one for feelings, especially not towards those of the opposite sex and ever since his late wife he had found himself incapable of even trying to trust someone these days.
It was whilst he was watching the waitress walk away from him (and wondering if perhaps he could drag her into his car once he had eaten) that he noticed another pretty young thing come into the restaurant. He wouldn't have paid much attention had it not been for the fact she had her legs out on show and that she was all alone. Hmm. perhaps this evening would be a little more interesting that he thought...
As he watched her sit down and order a drink he turned his attention to the pretty waitress who had come back to take his order. "Rare steak...I want to hear its heartbeat." She stared at him for a moment before nodding with a slight shudder and moved away from him quickly, taking his order to the kitchens where the chef was under strict orders not to mess it up in any way.
William poured himself a glass and swirled the liquid about before sniffing at it and then taking a small sip to taste it, savouring the flavours that burst onto his tongue, Ah yes, wonderful! Most suitable. It was as he was taking a proper sip of his drink that he noticed the girl staring at him- she really was a pretty little thing but there was something about the way she held herself that screamed non human to him, although even he couldn't be a hundred percent sure sitting as far away from her as he was (although he was very rarely wrong). Perhaps he could play with her for a little while?
The look on her face told him she wanted to say hello or some other such greeting and he did nothing more than to sit there, his glass in hand and his eyes looking at her over the rim- although he was well practiced in the art of being subtle about his watching whereas she was not so subtle about it.

It was hard to keep from laughing to herself when Kyon noticed that the man across the room was staring right back at her. She hadn't actually noticed it at first, because he'd had the glass to his lips and that had mostly covered his eyes, but once he'd put that down, it was easy enough for her to tell that his eyes were fixed on her. Her own glass was still raised, lifted over her lips to hide the small smirk there. He must think himself so slick, and he must seem to be to most people, but really he couldn't hide that his gaze was locked on her. She would have chuckled if she hadn't been afraid that he'd notice and be put off by it. No, she would just continue to watch him from where he was, not trying to hide her gaze or give him any impression that she was looking to intimidate him.
Why was she so interested him in though? He looked so old, at least his eyes did, and she was very sure he was; there was no way that he could be a human. Now, she was glad to not be as old as he and she didn't think that she ever seemed that old, especially with her not even being 40 yet, and that made it a whole lot easier to trick people into thinking that she was oh so naïve. Perhaps the older man would think her even more naïve with how experienced he must be and how innocent of an act she could put on. Well, there was her reason for wanting to at least talk to him so much; she liked to play with people, it was what she did almost every night of the week. Maybe if he liked her young, stupid little self, she'd find herself in a more private position with him, and if he were human, she would have the usual fun, if he were a wolf, she could always enjoy that, and if he were a vampire, well that might be fun.
However, her gaze was broken from him when the waiter from earlier came back to get an order for her entrée. She smiled up at him when he asked her what she wanted, glanced back down to see that the view of the man was blocked from here, before turning her eyes back up to the man's in front of her. "I'm waiting for someone and I'd like to order once they get here," she lied, tilting her head slightly to the side and smiling, "but," That word stopped the waiter when he began to turn to walk away. "Don't turn around," she said, keeping the smile on her lips, "but could you tell me who that man, the older two tables away, is?"
She expected the man to just say that he didn't know who that was, but the stranger was damn old and surely wealthy, so there was a very good chance more than a few people knew who exactly he was, even if she didn't. "That," the waiter's head started to turn to look but then he put it straight again, "I think that's William Pearce-"
"Oh!" the vampire laughed shortly, cutting off whatever the man had been going to say, "Of course, I've just never seen him." The waiter smiled back at her, seeming a little uneasy, or just creeped out, or perhaps he was thinking she was a freak. Whatever it was, he hid it pretty well. "Yes, of course," he said with a slight bob of his head, "well then, whenever your guest arrives, I can come back to take your orders." He bobbed his head again in the slightest bow then left her once more.
Certainly she found the man much more interesting now. He was one of the oldest and most influential men in London at least, so she naturally heard of him, even sometimes rarely in passing conversation. It would be wonderful if she could get to have 'fun' (in her sense of the word) with him that night. Wouldn't that be a story to tell the few of her coworkers who would ever listen to what she had to say? If anything else, it would be add to the list of interesting things that she'd done. But, she wasn't going to pursue him just yet, she'd let him finish his meal which he had to be coming out soon so that she could keep her now bashful little self out of trouble.
Though she'd need something to occupy her for a little while until then. Looking around the room again, she tried to see if there was anyone that looked as if they might want to sit with her. In little time, he eyes landed on a man who had walked in a few minutes ago and was eyeing her from his nearby table. That would work, she supposed. Taking her glass with her, she pushed back her chair and got up, crossing the floor to where the new stranger sat. She greeted him sweetly, touching his shoulder as she gave him her name (a false one of course since he'd live to talk about her), then invited him to sit with her since he looked terribly lonely by himself. He accepted her offer with enthusiasm and followed her back to her table since he hadn't yet ordered himself a drink.
Inevitably, the new company at her table made the waiter return and she ordered herself just a small salad, not wanting to eat any of this human food really, but figuring that it would be polite of her. While they waited for their food to come she chatted with the stranger, whose name turned out to be Phil and who was also a vampire only slightly older than she. Well, she chatted at the stranger since he didn't do much more than though she couldn't help her eyes stop drifting from time to time so that she could take a look at the wolf at the other table, wondering if he'd finished his dinner yet.

William had grown bored of looking at the pretty child across the way and had resumed his people watching, slowly sipping at his wine as he did so, wondering if he could find a nice little victim tonight...although he wasn't really in the mood which was odd seeing how he usually was. Never mind. It was that human that had put him off everything at the moment...and the man that called himself a wolf! His nose wrinkled slightly in disgust as his mind was brought back to the problem at hand. How dare that human escape from his sight like this? She should have died! And now she was walking about, alive and well and sleeping with someone above her status! It was disgusting.
The pretty waitress from before appeared at his elbow and he was brought back from his slightly murderous thoughts as she placed the plate of food onto the table before him and he turned his head ever so slightly to the side to look at her. "Thank you," He might not approve of humans but he had his manners and being in society it was an unfortunate part of the job. Hell, he even threw a small smile into the deal and the poor idiot was blushing as she hurried away although he didn't need to turn around to see she was looking back at him every now and then.
Still had it.
He smiled privately to himself as he picked up his cutlery and inspected the food on the plate, glad to see that his steak was indeed so rare it still had blood seeping out of it and was soon well on his way to working his way through it. Hm, it was most satisfactory. He might even leave a tip.
It was as he was eating said steak that he actually bothered to notice the girl at the other table and this was only because she had gotten to her feet to collect some sorry male from another table before bringing him back to her own. Not that he was in the least bit bothered since he didn't know said lassie but she was a pretty thing and it was such a shame to waste such beauty on the likes of that other male...
Of course, as she had walked a little closer to him he had caught a good whiff of her scent and he realised he had been correct in his assumption that she was not a human. Which was good. He really didn't like humans and at least a vampire would be able to keep up with him a little better...providing he actually did anything with the girl but he hadn't made his mind up that far yet since he had yet to pay her much mind at all. He wasn't going to waste his energy on someone he wouldn't really like...
Unlike the human girl who kept walking past him, getting a little closer each time and as he finished his meal she was instantly at his side and asking if he wanted dessert. He had simply looked at her before suggesting she 'surprise him'. She had left with a furious blush and a hit feeling in the pit of her stomach although she wasn't sure why...he hadn't even done anything to her!
She quickly returned with a blackberry torte and cream and escaped before he could give her another one of 'those smiles' and vanished into the kitchen where she promptly began to gossip about the wolf with the handsome looks (despite being ancient!)
It was as he was starting on his dessert that his attentions were taken off both food and getting laid that someone new entered the restaurant and made their way over the the table he sat at. Said person was a rather stunning Scarlett headed wolf who, despite wearing high heeled boots was at his side almost immediately, bending slightly so she could murmur something into his ear. He listened to what she had to say before waving her to the other seat opposite him and she moved to sit down whilst he finished his torte.
"Vhat vould you like me to do?" Her voice was heavily accented and very soft so it traveled no further than his ears although if anyone was to try hard enough they would probably make out the accent itself as being Russian.
"Nothing," He replied as he sipped at the wine once again before offering her a glass although she shook her head in refusal not wanting any of the obviously rich alcohol. "Things will fall into place."
"If you say so," She rolled her eyes at him before reaching over and dipping her finger in what was left of the blackberry topping before popping the digit into her mouth and sucking the sauce off and her boss gave her a level eyed glare. "Vhat?" She shrugged before leaning forwards again to run her fingers lightly over his arm, a black fingered nail dancing over his skin. "You don't usually mind." She told him before shrugging herself. "Men."

Kyon found herself getting a little bored of this male who was sitting at her table. She did continue to talk to him, about everything decent that would come into her mind, and he would occasionally respond to her, though most of the time he just stared with a polite, yet somehow creepy smile upon his lips. She would have stopped the conversation had she not wanted to stay at the restaurant longer so that she could catch the old wolf as he left his table. And anyway, she loved to talk, so that was no big deal, it was only slightly irritating that Phil contributed little in the way of intelligent responses or new topics.
When their food arrived, Kyon's salad and Phil's burger, the woman did actually eat a little bit, if only for something to do since it wouldn't do much for her in the way of nutrition. On the other hand, the other vampire had gotten his burger pretty rare so there had to be something left of life in that meat. Not enough for it to palatable for a very picky Kyon, but he might be able to stand it. Apparently, the same sort of thing was true for this Pearce man that she was watching. She noticed as he'd started on his main meal that it was just a rare steak. Though she figured that since he was a wolf, even well cooked meat would have satisfied him in some way.
Having finished half of her salad, the woman pushed her plate away from her, placing her fork on top of the lettuce that was left there. The other vampire asked her if she was going to eat any more, but she replied with a smile that she wasn't. He smiled back, shrugging, then continued on his burger, staring at her from time to time between bites. She continued to talk at him as he ate, leaning forward and resting her chin in her hand. She was beginning to find him a bit boring, since he was more interested at staring than carrying on a conversation, which made him not too interesting, but he gave her a reason to stay there until she had an opportunity to approach the wolf at the other table.
And yet, it seemed that her opportunity may never come as a woman sat down next to William a few minutes later. Goddamn, how was she supposed to talk to him now? She should have just bothered him when he was eating. Being interrupted by some pretty girl wouldn't upset him that much would it? And now she would have to contend for his attention with whoever had now joined him. She supposed that she'd just have to grit her teeth and say hello to him anyway, afraid that if she waited he would leave with this other woman before she could get to him.
It would also mean that she could get away from this Phil character faster, who had turned out to be one of the least entertaining vampires she had ever met. "Here," Kyon reached into her purse to pull out a few random bills, "this is for dinner." Slowly, she stood up, smoothing her dress as she did so, then smiled down at the other vampire. "It was very nice meeting you," she lied, "perhaps I'll see you again." Phil gazed at her for a moment before seeming to catch up to what was going on. "You're leaving?" he asked, sounding disappointed, "Could I at least have your number?" The woman tried hard to keep from rolling her eyes and reached into her purse again to fish out a small pen. She moved over to the man then grabbed up his hand to write her old, disconnected phone number over his wrist. "I'm available any time," she told him, winking before turning and walking away.
With that behind her (figuratively and literally) she walked over to William Pearce's table, going a little slowly and apprehensively. She stood slightly off to the side, holding one hand with the other, not wanting to interrupt the woman that was talking at the moment. However, when the werewolf (the smell was too obvious) was done speaking, Kyon moved right up to the table, glancing to the woman then to Pearce. "Hi," she said, looking to the man and almost exclusively addressing him since she had no desire to speak to the woman. "I know this seems sort of strange, especially with me being a vampire and all, but I'm a huge fan, Mr. Pearce." She gave him an embarrassed little smile then held out her hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

William himself didn't even turn his head to look at the vampire as she made her way to the table but the woman did. "You have a visitor." She commented flicking her hair over her shoulder as she did so, disgust evident in her voice- like her boss she to hated anything that wasn't like herself...meaning anything that hadn't been born a pure lycan. "A vampire."
"Really?" His voice was somewhat disinterested since he was more interested in pouring himself another glass of his very expensive wine...he was paying good money for the bottle he was planning on enjoying it right until the last drop. He really didn't like wasting his money, even if he had more than he knew what to do with. "Invite her to sit...she's very pretty." Katerina gave a snort of disgust but said nothing to disagree with him.
The the girl was practically in their vicinity and Katerina turned her head to look at her properly, watching as she stared at her boss. Eugh. Vampires. Nearly as bad as the fodder.
"I know this seems sort of strange, especially with me being a vampire and all, but I'm a huge fan, Mr. Pearce."
William smiled into his glass and Katerina just stared. A fan? This little slip of a dead girl? "It's a pleasure to meet you." This caused Katerina to give a short barking laugh before turning to look at her boss in amusement although the look he gave her was enough to make her cut her laugh shorter than she would have liked and she was soon looking back at the girl who had held her hand out in vain- William wasn't going to shake it and Katerina most certainly was not going to even touch the thing. If he wanted to play with the girl that was his own business but the thought was enough to make her sick.
"Sit," Katerina finally spoke and waved vaguely in the direction of the chair that was next to her and directly opposite William who had finally brought the glass down from his lips although he didn't place it onto the table. She herself scooted her chair around the table slightly in order to get away from the smell of vampire (even if it didn't actually do anything).
"Drink?" William finally spoke up, indicating the bottle that was still only half full since he had been taking his time with it. "Or do you prefer something a little more....fresh?" Ah, something fresh would go down rather nicely. In fact, he could do with something a little fresh himself since he hadn't actually hunted game in a good few days- although truthfully it wasn't like he had to go far to catch his prey...he only had to snap his fingers and someone was willing to fetch it for him.
He turned his head ever so slightly so he could look at her a little better as she sat down and he had to admit that she really was very pretty, it was just such a shame she wasn't human. He would have very much liked to take her home and play with her for a little while...he would have loved to take her and then perhaps eat her...in every way that suggested. Ah, but a pity she was not human!
"You find me at a disadvantage." He admitted tilting his glass to her in a slight greeting, "You know my name yet I do not know yours." His accent was now very obvious now that he was talking a little more. Despite having been away from Scotland for many many years he still held the rough accent of the highlands although it was only really pronounced when he was shouting at someone...and that was something he did not approve of doing. He wasn't much of a shouter.
"And do not lie," Katerina added as she rested her elbow onto the table top and her head on her hand as she looked at the girl. "Ve do not like liers." Hell, she was probably one of the only people on the planet who knew the truth of the matter about his deceased wife...being the one to kill said woman. She knew better than anyone that the man hated lies and he had ways and means of finding out the truth- it was much better in the long run to just tell him what he wanted to know than cause him to go to the trouble to find out himself. Also, you tended to end up a little dead if he had to go down that route and Katerina was half hoping the little girl would lie. Oh, she really did hope so.

With a look of disappointment, Kyon dropped her hand back to her side and rested it on the purse that hung at her hip. Really, she wasn't disappointed at all that he hadn't shaken her hand, she had sort of expected it. Most wolves she'd ever met were incredibly racist toward vampires, so she really didn't think these two would be any different. At least William had the grace to cover up whatever disgust he might feel towards her while the woman at the table who laughed at her words then glared up at her when she was cut off. Well, so much for this plan, one of them was going to send her away and she'd probably end up taking that boring male who'd been sitting with her home.
"Sit,"
Slightly surprised, and letting that show, Kyon perched herself on the edge of the chair that the wolf had gestured to, sitting as straight and proper as possible. She wanted to make a good first impression. Glancing over at the woman then to Mr. Pearce, she smiled sweetly, if not a little nervously. Ooh, she had to admit that she was good at this whole 'excited fan' thing.
"Drink?" The vampire turned her eyes briefly to the bottle that he indicated and opened her mouth to respond when he spoke again. "Or do you prefer something a little more....fresh?"
"Oh," Kyon gasped softly at his mention of 'something fresh' and knowing just what he meant. Actually, she would love a little blood at the moment, but she suspected that might make her lose her focus and she needed to stay in character. "No," she said with a smile, glancing down at her lap then looking back up to the male, "I'm fine, thank you." She looked back down to her lap a second later when she noticed that William was studying her slyly, then looked up and to the side, refusing to make eye contact for a short while. Finally, she tilted her head to look him full on when he spoke up again.
"You find me at a disadvantage. You know my name yet I do not know yours."
This was very true, and she would have liked it to keep it that way, but if he insisted to know hers, she would tell. And that accent made it even harder to refuse him, even if it wasn't terribly thick, she found it rich enough for her ears. Besides, a true fan would never hesitate to give out there name. In fact, that should have been the first thing for her to say when she had walked up to. Damn! Why hadn't she thought of that earlier? Well, at least it hadn't ruined her guise.
"I'm sorry," she said, her smile fading slightly, "I-" But she was cut off by the other werewolf, in her rather obvious Russian accent. Well, the vampires certainly felt out of place now, being the only one of three who was accent-less. "And do not lie, ve do not like liars."
The smile grew back on Kyon's lips as she glanced over at the woman. "Of course not," she said with the look to the both of them that read 'Why would I lie to you?' Actually, she'd been lying since she saw the man, but they would never find out, not that they even needed to know that. "I'm Kyon Granville," she said with a light smile, settling her gaze on William. The name came out very naturally, since she always pronounced her last name with a slight French accent and using a different French name wasn't a big deal. She had used the surname before a few times anyway, though she usually changed her first to something along the lines of Katherine, or Katie, or even Katrina, just to make sure that she never slipped up the first letter, completely ruining the lie. And it wasn't as if she was afraid that they would be able to track her down or something, because she rarely used her real name so people didn't know her, truly, and as far as the government she didn't exist. To them she was Emma Milano, but that wasn't a name she ever gave out.
This was all becoming too much fun for Kyon, but she restrained her excitement under an expression of bashfulness and appreciation for being able to sit at the table with Mr. Pearce. She wondered how much longer she could keep this up. Supposing that she should be kind and civil to the pair of them, she turned her gaze to the female wolf. "May I ask your name?" she said, a bit unsure, "I mean, not that it matters. I'm just… curious." She grinned shortly, a little nervously, then let her lips fall back into a smile, watching the woman now with slightly downcast eyes.

"I'm Kyon Granville,"
William looked at the girl and Katerina reached for the empty glass that was sitting on the table before pouring herself a little of the wine her boss (and master if she had to admit it) had been drinking since he had come to the restaurant. Both had different thoughts on the female vampire although their racism was exactly the same but then again, what wolf really liked vampires? And the other way around? It was just as it was meant to be and there was nothing that could ever change that. William was of course more interested in the vampire claiming to be a big fan than the wine he was drinking. She was such a pretty creature but he had to wonder what her game was since no vampire willingly came up to him...humans were a little different of course since they all wanted something from him- immortality or just a little dangerous living.
However, he was highly amused as Kyon turned to his companion. "May I ask your name? I mean, not that it matters. I'm just curious." Katerina looked almost insulted at being asked her name and was nearly going to refuse him until she caught William's eye and they seemed to have a silent conversation with him telling her to just spit him out and her silent replay of 'do I have to?'Finally she huffed, rolled her eyes at him before turning and giving a sickly sweet smile. "Katerina." She deigned to give a one word answer before she too turned back to her wine.
"Do ignore her," William set his glass down onto the table and frowned at the dish that had held his dessert for a moment or two before the waitress suddenly appeared at his elbow.
"So sorry," She rushed out as she scooped up the dish and nearly dropped them again at the smile he gave her- well, it was only the upturning of his lip but it was more than the usual stoic look he tended to adopt around people. "Shall I get the bill? I mean...Uh..." She didn't actually know if he needed to pay!
"Please." He ignored her once again and she stared for a second before she turned and hurried away, the blush still on her face.
"Now then," He looked over to the girl and brought his hands to the table before steep-ling his fingers before him. "What would a pretty little thing like you be talking to us for?" He gave a toothy grin, revealing his sharper canine teeth in the process. "You cannot possibly make me believe you are a 'fan'" The air quotes were obvious despite having not actually done the motion to go with them. Katerina snorted into her wine before pretending she had made no such noise although she could barely hide the snickers that fought to come up in her throat.
To be honest with himself of course he was very interested in peeling back the layers of the slip of a girl -literally and metaphorically- and find out just what made her tick. Ah, he would enjoy it very much and it had been a while since he had had a little fun with a female of the vampire persuasion and he intended on playing with her for a little while. He might even learn something new and he had always been a keen in learning new things.
Katerina on the other hand was totally against the girl staying at their table any longer than needed and was hoping to move the male on quickly so that she might possibly end up in his bed. Oh, how she longed for his touch and yet was so cruelly denied it! She wanted him and this thing had come along and had monopolized his attentions. If there was any reason to dislike vampires more than she already did so then this was it.

Kyon wasn't sure if she was disappointed or not that neither of them noticed that she'd lied about her name. On one hand, she would now be able to continue this conversation in a relatively civilized fashion (if his lady-friend didn't get all jealous and crazy first), but on the other hand, she would have loved to trash this restaurant fighting off two (probably very skilled) werewolves. Oh well, perhaps that would come later when the female wolf just couldn't stand the vampire anymore.
Speaking of that wolf, she didn't seem to want to reveal her name to Kyon, feeling that she wasn't worthy of knowing such a thing. If she refused to give it, the vampire would feign disappointment, but it was really no big deal for her; it was of little consequence to her what the wolf's name was, she would just refer to her as 'Bitch' to herself if she wasn't supplied a real name. Though, the woman was eventually silently coerced into giving her name. "Katerina."
Kyon smiled in appreciation of being told the name, though she regarded the woman with a slightly confused look as if she was unsure as to why she receiving such a negative reaction from the wolf. "Do ignore her," The vampire turned her head to look at William and gave him a slightly more confident smile. "It's alright, I-" But she cut off when the waitress she'd seen flitting about the table earlier appeared to grab up the wolf's empty plate. She couldn’t quiet fathom why the human girl was so flustered by the male wolf, though she guessed that part of it that he was a right rich bastard and he must smell nice the human. Kyon didn't find the smell of him that alluring, it was alright, but of course she only thought this after she'd spent much of her life around werewolves. If she didn't come into contact with them often, she imagined that she would find the scent absolutely repulsive. Ah, she was a strange vampire, but she liked it that way.
"Now then,"
Blinking, Kyon turned her head to look at him, back straightening slightly as she came to attention. "What would a pretty little thing like you be talking to us for?" If she had been capable of blushing, she would have, but she had to settle for dipping her head and averting her eyes before turning to look back at him, returning his grin with a soft, closed-mouth smile of her own. She also would have clarified that she had only sat down to speak with him, but that didn't seem to fit her character and so she kept her mouth shut. "You cannot possibly make me believe you are a 'fan'"
Kyon regarded the wolf for a brief moment with an almost distraught look before smiling, just wide enough that her canines peeked out from under her rouged lips. "Well," she started, pressing her chest out slightly in confidence, though she really did know what she was doing, "I'm a fan in some ways." She glanced over at Katerina before focusing her attention solely on the male. "I know you think it's strange that I'm even talking to you, being a werewolf and all, and me being..." she paused and shrugged, "Um, I was under foster care of these two married wolves for a while," She didn't even have to lie about that. "and they were really wonderful people." There was the lie, she'd hated the wolves, but even so, she glanced off to the side for a moment as if remembering something sweet.
"Anyway," she continued, meeting Mr. Pearce's gaze straight on for a few seconds, "I've been looking up to you since I was pretty young," Yet another lie in fact, she'd heard plenty about him since she was young, but she'd never actually aspired to be anything like him and really hadn't been interested in him until seeing him tonight. Damn, she was good at this! "Of course," she continued, shifting her eyes to look at the tablecloth then back to his face, as though she were excited and nervous to be speaking to someone like him. "who wouldn't look up to someone like you?" The woman smiled, swallowed, and kept on speaking. "It's silly," she said, glancing down at her lap. "but I'd always sort of hoped to be working for you some day." She shook her head softly and finally looked back up to William, chuckling shortly then grinning a bit uncertainly.

"I know you think it's strange that I'm even talking to you, being a werewolf and all, and me being..."
Well, she certainly had him there. It was more than strange for a vampire to willingly come up and talk to him and for some reason he found her whole persona rather off putting although that was more because he seemed to think it didn't quite fit her in some way or other and he had to wonder if this was just an act she liked to put on or if she actually thought she was a good little girly girl despite not being so. Ah, who cared? It was amusing all the same and after the day he had had he was quite happy to accept amusing.
"Um, I was under foster care of these two married wolves for a while, and they were really wonderful people."
Her voice had of course broken through his own musings and both he and Katerina stored that small amount of information away in order to use at a later date. So the girl was an orphan? Whilst that in itself was nothing in particular thanks to there being quite a few homeless and unwanted kids about this city, the fact that she had been taken in by wolves was in interesting little fact that would help him determine if she had told him the truth or not...although then again perhaps this had all been a lie in which case it wouldn't make much difference and he would simply hunt her down like the filth she was and have her disposed of. But she was pretty and he didn't want to resort to such options until he was really very sure in his facts. Although...accidents did happen.
"who wouldn't look up to someone like you?" but I'd always sort of hoped to be working for you some day."
The first part of her statement was easily answered in his mind. Oh, just about most of the city...afterall, half of the city was made of humans and vampires, both of which hated him for his position and power and the other half simply accepted him as their alpha. And lets not forget all of those people who had crossed him...although they couldn't say very much these days since most of them were six feet underground. Not that she needed to know that. Hell, hardly anyone knew of the darker side of the man and he intended on keeping it like that for as long as possible. Or forever. He wasn't fussy.
The second part caused him to let out a barking laugh that many would have said (and later regretted) as being very wolf like and even Katerina had let out a small laugh. Work for him! What a thought! Actually the very thought of having a vampire work for him was completely hideous and he hoped never to think it again. He had no qualms in sleeping with them but that was generally because they could keep up with his libido for some time, and weren't nearly as breakable as humans but they all ended up the same way...either dispatched into the afterlife or shown some mercy and just discarded onto the street once he had finished with them. The thought that he would actually hire one of those was completely ludicrous!
His amusement was rather short lived however and his laugh hadn't really gotten any further than the short bark from before. "What could possibly make you think he would even consider it?" Katerina had placed her glass down onto the table and was looking at the girl half in laughter and the other half curious as to her answer. Katerina herself had found the notion funny but she too was really very racist and also very aware of what happened to most of the vampires who met her master....well, she was the one who dispatched them so it was rather her job to know such things.

At the laughs from both wolves that followed her words, Kyon looked away. That may turn out to have been a very stupid thing to say, but it was the only thing that had come to her head. And maybe she could explain her way out it, or if not, the male would just find her all innocent, naïve, ideological, what have you. She just hoped that she wouldn’t say anything quite that dumb.
The smile gone from her lips, the vampire turned her eyes back up to look at the male then to the woman beside her as she spoke. "What could possibly make you think he would even consider it?" Kyon was glad that Katerina hadn’t sounded disgusted by her suggestion, merely amused and curious. She wasn’t sure how much more of the wolf’s hate she could stand, because while she wasn’t showing it, it was really getting on her nerves.
Glancing between the two wolves for a moment, she finally settled on looking at the woman since she was the one who’d asked the question, and fixed her with an uncertain smile. “I don’t know,” she said a bit weakly, glancing at the male. “maybe...” She looked back at the woman. “Maybe a vampire would be of some use, even if you don’t like them much.” She shrugged. “I’m sure you could always use a vampire where a wolf couldn’t go too easily...” She rubbed the side of her arm, hoping she wasn’t insulting them by insinuating that they would benefit from a spy, although she was sure that she wasn’t.
Her eyes turned back to William. “A vampire would be more useful than a human at least,” Kyon said, glancing between the two wolves, “humans are best as food anyway.” A carefully amused grin spread over her lips and she focused on the male once more. “I’m not really asking for anything though,” she said, her expression going a little more serious. “it was just a thought. Besides, I’m happy enough at my current job.” She lifted a hand to touch one of the diamond, pearl earrings she had bought earlier, calling attention to the fact that she was more than well off.
Perhaps this would garner her more, if any of, the man’s respect, or favor, whatever. He just needed some sort of reason to get her alone, and very far away from this Katerina woman. She was just some desperate little dog looking to sleep at the foot of her master’s bed. Though it was quite obvious to Kyon, who had only been there for a few minutes, that these two had known each other for a long time and if that hadn’t happened by now, then it never would. At least the vampire knew she had a much better chance with him; he thought her disposable and that he wouldn’t have to worry about dealing with her ever again.
OOC: Um... um... this is all I can come up with...

“I’m sure you could always use a vampire where a wolf couldn’t go too easily...”
Well, that comment was rather insulting. If a little true although neither wolf was willing to admit such a thing was so- afterall, they both thought their race was the superior of all the three that existed and the thought that a vampire of all species would be useful to them was a laughable concept. The girl seemed to realise this and fumbled to say something that was hopefully less damaging than the words she had just spoken.
“A vampire would be more useful than a human at least, humans are best as food anyway.”
That was a much better comment. And true. Vampires were much better than humans although humans provided much needed entertainment and food for their kind. Hm, perhaps it was a rather close contest between the two and William would look forward to experimenting to find out which was which. He rather enjoyed experimenting with people and this was as good an excuse as any...and what better way to start then play with the girl sitting opposite him?
As she mentioned about being happy in her current job his eyes were caught by the flash of her earrings as she touched at them causing the light from the restaurant to hit them just enough for him to notice the glint. Ah, so she was well paid but that meant nothing these days. Most of the people he met with were well paid and very much up the social ladder (although still very much beneath him) so her little display of wealth did nothing to make him want to know her better. In fact, he rather enjoyed preying on those who were worse off than himself since it was a lot easier to get them to agree to nearly anything at the prospect of being paid for it...like the waitress who was still eying him up from the other side of the room- perhaps she thought she could get something out of him at the end of the night, she wouldn't be the first and he enjoyed playing with his food.
Not that he could eat the vampire of course since that would be dangerous to his health and he was rather fond of being right where he was in life but he could perhaps play with her for a little while- anything to take his mind off what he was going to do with the traitor who worked for him. He may even get a few ideas from the girl to help him out and if he did perhaps end up with her later on in the night so be it although he doubted Katerina would allow the pair out of her sight for too long- that was why she was a wonderful bodyguard and she was really quite good at her job...he was still alive so that showed her skill. Perhaps she would even consent to a three way? Kyon would have no say in the matter of course and the thought made him want to lick his lips in pleasure. Ah yes. Perhaps this night wouldn't be a total waste.
Had Katerina any knowledge of what he was thinking she would have perhaps dragged him away from the table without a word. Had she known that he was thinking of bringing the girl along for the ride in his car she would have been sick to her stomach- not only at the thought of sharing that sort of small space with something she despised but the thought that he wanted her to join in as well! It was a very good thing she had no idea what his mind was coming up with....
"I have no interest in hiring you..." He started, "But perhaps a few drinks would be tolerable. I have something a little more in the way of being fresh in my car."

Okay, so perhaps her first comment hadn't been the best thing to say. She could see it in both of their eyes that they had taken offense to what she'd said, which sort of did make sense. They both thought that werewolves were the master race or some other bullshit like that, so for them to even consider accepting help from such lowly creatures as vampires was appalling! Jesus Christ, no wonder these people headed the government, they just threw around some fancy words, used a little brute force and there you go. That wasn't to say that she disliked wolves anymore because of that, it was just something to note.
And at least her second comment seemed to amuse William the slightest and she saved herself from completely insulting the one she was most trying to impress. It also confirmed that she was getting quite good at this. To be able to stay in character this long under the eyes of a (though she wouldn't admit it) very intimidating wolf was quite a success for her. Perhaps she'd get a pay-raise if she proved to her superiors that she could take on more difficult targets. Ooh, and now she had a –slight- connection to one of the men they most sought after. They might just give her a new car for that!
"I have no interest in hiring you..."
Kyon let her shoulders slump slightly at this news, letting a bit of disappointment show in expression. And she would have said something understanding this if there hadn't been the slight pause at the end of his sentence, promising more.
"But perhaps a few drinks would be tolerable. I have something a little more in the way of being fresh in my car."
The vampire lit up for a moment, a grin stretching over her red lips, but she quickly trained her expression into a more coy smile. She was so excited that he would invite her to her car that she could barely stand it! Or that was what she was trying to give off. She thought she did a good job of too; she certainly believed herself. Though she didn't show that she was a little worried about this 'something fresh'. If he meant blood, which she really thought he did, then that might be a problem. She tended to lose her head completely around any source of blood and if she did that, it might totally blow this entire front she was trying.
Yet she couldn't refuse going to his car or any blood that might be offered to her, that was just impolite! She supposed that she'd just have to try extra hard to stay focused. Though if she had known what else he was thinking, about her, him, Katerina, and a bed, then she wouldn't have hesitated to run outside and jump in his car. It felt like ages since she'd gotten the chance to do anything that exciting, two weeks was far too far away now for the memory to satisfy her. And she couldn't exactly call either of them up any time soon; they were too busy being dead and everything.
"That sounds wonderful," she said after a second of slightly stunned silence, glancing to Katerina then to William again, as had now become her habit. It was as if she were looking out for the female wolf to come up behind her with a knife or something and try to stab her, though she kept it looking as if she were only being polite, continuing to acknowledge that she and Mr. Pearce weren't the only ones at the table (though she wished they were).

William took note of the way the vampire perked up a little at the mention of fresh blood and stored it away into the nice little folder marked with her name in his head- storing it neatly and efficiently as he was want to do with everything he learnt. She seemed to like the idea of something fresh to drink yet she seemed to keep herself from showing her enthusiasm...what a strange child. He liked her enough to want to try and get under her skin a little bit before he destroyed her completely and this seemed a good and interesting way of doing so...if it ended up being a little fun in the bag of his car then so be it but he didn't mind that sort of mess and he bet she tasted delicious (in the none biting way of course).
"That sounds wonderful,"
He watched as she glanced between the two wolves before he nodded slightly to the side to Katerina, signalling for the woman to get up and get the car ready. He was slightly amused at the look she threw at him as she got up from her seat and he watched as the fiery red head slipped from the table and made her way out towards where the kitchens were where she would go and 'purchase' their evening entertainment.
"Lovely," He stood up, slipped his chair back under the table and made his way around to the girl where he held his arm out to her. "Shall we?" He really wanted to get away from the crowd of people who kept glancing at them every now and then- mostly because he wanted to ravage the girl before him and also because he disapproved of the very mixed race of the people around him.
Katerina meanwhile had slipped inside the kitchen and was looking about her wondering how the hell she had managed to land this job. How she hated running about like some low level grunt! Yet she couldn't deny her master anything and as this was what he wanted she would comply without (much of a) grumble. Her eyes raked over the bodies of the humans who worked in the kitchen before landing on the girl her master had been so enraptured with and even she had to admit the human girl was rather pretty and since he liked pretty things it was obvious why this girl was his pick for the evening.
"You," She moved to the girl and took her arm in a vice like grip so she could not get away, "You have been asked for by Mr Pearce." She didn't allow anyone to give her an answer as she practically dragged the blushing girl towards the backdoor. "Vhat is your name?"
"Lizzy," The girl managed to gasp out before she was pulled around to where the car was waiting and as Katerina opened the door she turned her head slightly to look back at the restaurant before thinking that perhaps, just maybe she would never have to work there again. William Pearce was one of the richest and most powerful men in London and he wanted her! Having no idea that he hated humans with a passion her pretty little head was filled with thoughts of posh dresses and rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous. She had been too deep in thought to really pay attention to Katerina pushing her into the vehicle....
...It was when the red headed wolf forced her heavily into the leather seats that she realised that things were perhaps not quite what she had thought and when the woman pulled a length of wire into view she panicked and tried to get away.
By the time William and the vampiress arrived at the car Katerina was waiting on the pavement, the door open and ready for them to get in, the waitress was sat shaking in terror pressed up against the other door with her wrists bound. "Master," He smiled ever so slightly at his devoted wolf before gesturing for the girl to get in first.
"After you,"

Kyon shifted her eyes to watch Katerina leave at some silent command by Mr. Pearce. She must be going to get the car or something, though she doubted that she had been the one to drive him there. The wolf may be below her master, but not that low. Whatever it was, she was sure that she would find out soon. Taking her mind and eyes from the female wolf, she looked back to the man with a slightly excited grin on her lips.
"Lovely,"
What was lovely exactly? Was she lovely? That she'd said yes? That the car was getting ready and that blood was going to be provided? She would have asked, but she was being a polite, trusting girl tonight, so she just couldn't. Instead, she kept her mouth shut and slowly rose out of her seat as the wolf did, pressing her chair back underneath the table and shifting her purse on her shoulder and William walked toward her.
"Shall we?"
A bashful grin flitted over the vampire's lips before she curled her arm around the man's elbow. "Thank you," she muttered softly, for him leading her out in such a chivalrous manner. She was actually a bit surprised that he was willing to touch her, since he didn't much like her kind, and he probably didn't like the smell of her either. Though, she had noticed the way he looked at her, and if he was willing to consider dragging her to bed (metaphorically even), then touching her arm was no big deal. He'd probably want to dispose of her once he was done with his fun, but she wouldn't let him lay a finger on her if she could help it.
On the way out of the restaurant, Kyon caught sight of the boring male she had been sitting with either in the evening. He shot her a hurt, confused look, but she barely let their eyes lock before turning her head to glance over at Mr. Pearce in an admiring, yet embarrassed way. That other vampire had no chance with her; he was not nearly as interesting as this wolf, he probably wouldn't have been fun to play, he would have cried or something.
As it turned out, the car was waiting for them outside, and Katerina was at the back door, holding it open for them. The vampire could hear the faintest whimpering from inside the vehicle and the smell of human was unmistakable. Kyon gave the man at her side a slightly questioning look; was this the something fresh he was speaking of? She hoped not...
"After you,"
"Thank you," the vampires said again to William, slipping her arm from around his. She paused to look back at him before glancing at the other woman with a smile then dipping and sliding smoothly into the sleek car. Well, there was a proper dinner. "Hello love," she breathed softly to the girl who was trussed up on the back seat. Kyon did appreciate these twos' sense of a good a time and a good meal. God, if they weren't so racist, she want to go out hunting with one or the other! Oh well, she could enjoy this once the four of them got comfortable.
Settling into the seat right beside the girl, Kyon pulled her eyes away from their late night snack to the two wolves as they also slid into the vehicle, though it was slightly harder to concentrate on the two with the slightest scent of blood in the air. Had the human cut herself in some way?
