The Vale of Ruby Moonlight was a thriving wilderness, full of new days and new ideas. Three Packs of wolves dominated the terrain; Sky Mountain, Black Lake, and Red Ridge. The packs intermingled and did their best to maintain a balance in the powers and peace of the land.
Then, one winter, the snow sickness came, killing off prey and predator alike. The Snow Sickness swept threw the dens and The packs watched helplessly as the young stood no chance. Then, one by one, the older wolves fell as well. Very few were spared in the sudden plague, and no one knows why those who survived did. It was just nature's way.
Those that survived forged on. The peace and calm where gone, the world before the sickness was gone. With nothing left to hold the wolves together some moved on to other packs in lands far beyond the Vale of Ruby Moonlight to escape the pain the sickness had brought. Those that stayed struggled on, refusing to give up on there homes and lives.
Now the seasons have turned, and the animals are returning. Those who stayed now watch as the winds of change sweep their homes, bring new life to a once dying place. Now, in place of 3 dying packs, eight strong, families call the lands of the Ruby Moon their homes. Hunting, living, bringing light back to what was thought to bed a dead Vale.
