Hyde Park was such a depressing place to be. It is a poor copy of its former self. Back when she was still a young human, Hyde Park was a beautiful place for all to enjoy. In the day, there would be picnics, walks, romantic dates in the open springtime. At night, it would be where the vampires roamed. Even they would appreciate the beauty that was Hyde Park, she was sure of it.
Now, she was left with ugliness. Where there was once color, texture, life, there is bland, amorphous, nothingness. She would love to see this place restored, but beauty is now at the back of any politician's mind nowadays, as always. It's always power, power, power. Power corrupts all, turning beauty into a twisted monstrosity. Yet here she was, in the very middle of this monstrosity called Hyde Park, and finding comfort in the cold silence.
The wind howled at her ears and bit at her. Fortunately, she was not as delicate as she looked and felt nothing if not the slightest movement from the wind itself. She was cold as ice and certainly felt like it at times. She had no hobbies and definitely not many close acquaintances that she would consider friends. Her friends are few and far between. Some she had lost contact with for many decades and isn't very sure if they are alive! A shortcoming on her part would be that she wasn't the most sociable creature.
She probably made quite a picture in this wasteland. "A pretty plain creature in a dump like this, what would my friends say??" She whispered aloud. It had been more than an hour since she had last spoken. The sound of her voice now startled her a little in its hoarseness. She laughed experimentally, wondering if she was going mad. What was so funny?

Despite Demetri's change in habits and personality since his change, both sides of him still enjoyed cool night walks even though now he never felt much of the cold. Well tonight was one of the nights where he had an urge to take a walk. Not exactly the greatest path to take unless you enjoy the sight of dead things. He had run into a man on the verge of falling over, due to the fact that he was more than a little drunk, and had decided it best to set him down for a nap.
Licking his lips a final time Demetri had to note himself not to feed from drunk people, there blood really wasn’t all that great. Feeling a bit on the lazy side he was ready to turn down the street that turned him away from the park and towards home. During the act of running a hand through his hair, trying to keep it out of his eyes, he happened to glance out into the park. The park itself really wasn’t much of an interest for him, so why was he looking? There was figure out there, just… standing there. Upon a pause in his movements and a more focused sight, he came to the conclusion that it was female, simply because of the slim body. He took his eyes away from her and looked down the road he was about to take, torn between curiosity and his lazy feeling to just get home. Curiosity won and he started towards the woman.
He made no attempt to be quiet, there was no point. The fact he could hear no heartbeat from this woman made it clear to him exactly what she was. He didn’t speak as he grew closer, but he did tense a bit, readying himself in case this vampire were to end up being… not so kind. Even from the back view of her Demetri felt she was somehow familiar though his memory of his past was something he was trying to forget.

Of course, she should have known better than to expect her privacy to remain private. This was London, this was reality. Humans were often too afraid to venture here, but she couldn't say the same about her kind. Vampires and Werewolves alike prowled the streets. Bah. Although she had easily sensed the intrusion, she noted that the intruder made no attempts to hide his or her presence. As a matter of fact, it seemed like he or she wanted to give her ample opportunity to leave while he or she approached.
Not that she will.
She hated confrontation, but the intruder didn't seem to have any wrong intentions. If he or she had meant her any harm, she would have been attacked already. No, this being - vampire, for she can't hear a pulse - was being cautious. As should she.
Turning around, Michaela shot an appraising glance at the approaching figure. She didn't try and call out. It would be a waste of time on her part. Not many of her acquaintances were around. The last time she had a run-in with a friend, it was back in the good old days, perhaps even a decade ago. Still, she couldn't help but notice that this vampire was familiar.
It didn't take long for her sharp eyes to catch a glimpse of his face. The intruder's build was too wide and not very curvaceous to be a woman. As soon as she registered just who had come across her this night, she was stuck between laughing and scowling. She decided, neutrality was best. "Now look what the werewolf dragged in, huh. Finally got around to a visit, Demetri?"With a small, teasing smirk, she approached him.
It had been a while since they had met, but she didn't know how to greet him besides their customary taunts and such. A hug? That odd air-kiss thing Europeans were so fond of? Definitely not a handshake.
