D.O.G.S.

D.O.G.S. is the head pack in town. This pack has most of the powers in the government within London, not to mention it is the biggest pack in the region. The history of the pack is sketchy, but it’s believed that the initials stand for Department of Gun Specialist. This is because, previously, this pack wasn’t a pack, but rather a secret division in the government, composed of mostly werewolves. However, this is simply a rumor and the existence of such a department is not confirmed. Those who do seem to know what the initials would stand for merely refer to it as D.O.G.S.

As the leading pack, they concentrate on the well-being and wealth of werewolves, as well as assure they remain in power. They also protect the treaty, and against all odds, the werewolves keep trying to maintain the amends previously woven with the vampires, despite being well aware of the fact that, if they were tempted, every vampire currently living in London would be considered a large threat. As the leading pack, they are also in charge of maintaining laws and as well as making them. Basically, they have all the functions of every normal government. Members of this pack mostly posses an important position in the government as well as being wealthy. Keep in mind that although they are the leading pack of werewolves in London, it doesn’t mean they don’t commit the crimes that could happen in any government.

Currently, the wolves are investigating the crime surge in London, trying to get at the root of the problem, but being unable to and growing more and more frustrated as time ticks by. They have only managed to get some measly criminals who seem to have nothing to do with the constant flow of guns, drugs and death that have entered London. To this day, the pack isn’t completely sure about anything about their enemy. Could it be just some pesky gangs with too much power? Is it one or two gangs? More? Are they human? Werewolf? Or maybe even Vampire? They struggle to find out, but have yet to stumble upon anything revealing.

Joining Requirements:

Keep in mind that this is the lead werewolf pack and thus around 90% of the werewolves here are either rich or have work in the government, or maybe even both! Now, most of the pack has been there for a very long time so any newcomers, although welcome, are treated with a kind of wariness. If you want your character to be approached by the werewolves, you are probably a werewolf with a lot of influence in a foreign government or are rather rich. Remember that as the leading pack, their main function is to lead London, gain money for the city as well supporters for the current government.

The werewolves always do a background check on you, so as to assure them that you aren’t a spy or some other pest that will cause troubles in their plans. Remember that you must be a werewolf and nothing else. It doesn’t matter much whether you were a born werewolf or were changed werewolf, but keep in mind born werewolves are regarded with high respect, while changed werewolves are often looked down upon, since you were previously human. However, it won’t stop you from joining, but just prepare for a tad more hostility than you would with any other pure-blood werewolf.

NOW REMEMBER! If you want your character to get involved in D.O.G.S. you can PM Dodo or I, but remember to include in your PM your character’s bio or a link to it as well as the rank you want. When the leader of D.O.G.S. is chosen, they too can be PMed in order to obtain entrance into the gang.

FOR ALPHA POSITION! If you want to RP the leader of D.O.G.S. keep in mind that the gender doesn’t matter. BUT you must have political knowledge as well as some studies in anything from medicine to laws, and it must be useful for someone who is leading a city. They must also posses a knowledge in war and/or weapons. The person who chooses to RP this character also must be extremely active. You cannot have a leader in any of the other gangs/packs/covens in order to apply. PM Akree or Dodo if you fit the requirements.

FOR THE BETAS! If you want to RP one of the four betas of D.O.G.S. keep in mind that the gender nor age matter. BUT you must have certain requirements, and depending on which beta you want, you must have experience with that field. For example, the leader of the Assembly can be a skilled lawyer, but s/he cannot be a shopkeeper of a grocery store with no skill in advising whatsoever. You cannot have a second-in-command or leader in any of the others gang/pack/covens in order to apply. PM Akree or Dodo if you fit the requirements.

Ranks:

†Alpha†

S/he would posses the equivalent of the mayor position to the public. However, to the rest of the pack it would be the same as the head or leader. Keep in mind that the alpha will only be referred as alpha within pack members and mayor to everyone outside. They are in charge of ordering and making sure their orders are carried out. The priorities would be maintaining the vampire treaty and the werewolf government in town.

†Betas†

There’s a total of four betas and each help spread the Alpha’s orders as well as make minor decisions within the pack. Keep in mind that London is a democracy and in the absence of the alpha, a beta will not officially take the Alpha’s place. Elections will be had and if one of the betas wishes to participate and is chosen as the mayor, then could they scale ranks. Betas are chosen through voting, and they are divided as:

• The Assembly Head – The Assembly is a group of advisers, and they're all professionals in one thing or another. They make suggestions to the mayor from everything to his campaign, to medicine and to education. They can also publicly acclaim a decision and they have every right to oppose the mayor’s decision, though normally they have something to critique about the way a mayor does things. The beta in charge of the Assembly works to call reunions and they're normally an elder whose general opinion everyone respects. There’s a total of 25 members in the assembly, 8 of which are vampires and thus have no dealings with the pack itself.
  
• Pack Commissioner – In charge of leading everything that has to do with enforcing the law, the Pack Commissioner practically possesses the same rank as any other commissioner. However, besides leading this specific branch of the pack, they are also in charge with the investigations of the sudden strong flow of crime in London. Their priority right now is figuring out who the hell is causing all this trouble, then investigate and dispatch the menace. NOTE! the current Pack Commissioner is corrupt. They are trying to find out who the criminal is, but by other methods, which are less preferred by the pack and their objective is to TAKE OVER THE BUSINESS.
  
• Research Council Head – The Research Council is a group of scientists and doctors; they perform different investigations as to devise ways to “help” the community. For example, one of their on-going researches is to find a way to prevent so many human deaths when they are changed into werewolves, as well as find out the origins of the werewolf and vampire races. This council is also in charge of supplying the local vampire population with blood. IMPORTANT this is a group of werewolves that mostly do not care about species differences. Anyone who is suspected of harming a vampire receives some jail time normally around 100 years.
