Aleksei's grin was for the first time it seem, etched with an undertone of mournful sadness. A glint caught in his eyes, as he redirected them into the shadows a waver in their depths. "There is no such a thing, as true immortality. Merely life and merely death, for nothing has the power to be eternal." He stated, his tone implying that he was quoting something. He gave a half-hearted shrug then, and turned his golden optics back to Tah at his comment of the subject. "And for the record, immortality is somewhat of a curse. Life, unchanging for years and years. Imagine what that would be like, when the world actually does die. Imagine being able to outlive it, watching even as mortals faded away." His words were surprisingly nonchalant, despite the fact of how serious the conversation was. In fact, Aleksei had given much thought into that subject. In living for near eternity, with no one and nothing. With people dying before his eyes, whereas he could stand for the most part untouched. What would it be like to rot away alone? Wretched, of course. Aleksei knew this, and yet he couldn't help but think that his own existence was exactly that: filled with solitude and a immortal life. He sighed lightly, his eyes flicking to Nadine. "Ah, but you see that would be a mistake. Surely you know this, from living the experience of life itself. Rule number one: Don't let anyone out of sight. If you trust someone enough to watch your back for you, then you better be prepared to be betrayed. Or dead." At the last two words of his speech, a malicious gleam caught in his reflective golden optics. It was partly amused and then again it was filled with almost endless malevolence. "You've got something against the vamps, Scar?" Aleksei wondered aloud towards Tah, truly curious. From his words, it sounded like he did. Aleksei had always seen the hatred towards the vampires as something that was almost petty... Of course, his view were quite different from most peoples depending on the subject. "They're just trying to make a place for themselves on this planet, can we truly say any deferent for the rest of us? The conversation was starting to amuse him further than it had been before. The turn the conversations were taking... It brought a wickedly gleaming smile to the werewolf's lips. "And I'm not going to some bar for the mere purpose of beating up a bloody human. What fun is in that? No... I don't think I'm looking for a fight quite yet." Eyes flicked between the other two as they announced there names, Aleksei's face perfectly expressionless just then. Hmm. Names could be a touchy subject to some, just like they seemed to be for the girl. Aleksei didn't truly see any true meaning in them-- they were merely titles after all. Labels to melt a person into society and given them something to be called. Of course, he always saw them as one of the easiest things to lie about. He knew not to trust them. Either of the two could be lying about their names right then and there. Tahmores and Nadine. How interesting.

"Life is just tough all over...but that's why we should be watching one anothers' backs"
"I agree. The days when I used to be part of a pack where the days when I felt the safest. As soon as I was away from them I felt so alone. The wolves that I've met here I've tried to help and keep in contact with. I look our for them though we are not strickly in a pack it's the same kind of mentallity. We all look out for eachother, if one falls then we all go back and pick them up". He pauses for a moment and smiles. "Heh, I'm starting to sound like my father when he would talk to us about the importance of the pack". "Pleasure to meet you Nadine". Tahmores bows his head a little in a greeting towards her. An old habit left over from having to meet other pack leaders with his mother and father and having to act proper and curteous.
"When the world dies everything will go with it. Humans, wolves, vampires and all the wild plants and animals. We will all one day fade away to become history. But when our world ends, perhaps another will come to take it's place. A new world where everything can start anew, where life can be given a second chance to not repeat the mistakes of the last world. From death there comes life, a continuous circle that will never end, not even with the destruction of this planet because there is life beyond. The planets, stars and suns all alive with energy, constantly exploding into existance and perhaps in doing so destroying other planets and suns. I have no illusion that I will live forever. One day I will die just as all others before me have". If you trust someone enough to watch your back for you, then you better be prepared to be betrayed. Or dead". Would his people still be alive if he had not trusted the younger members to go into the human cities? Would the vampires have still come and attacked them if Tahmores and his father had been that bit more assertive about the rules?. Better not to dwell on such things.
"You've got something against the vamps, Scar?"
Tahmores turns his attention to Alexsei. His near blind eye seeming pure white in the dull light. "I do have something against them. They slaughtered by people. Used guns and exsplosive against those who had no weapons save their own teeth and claws. Instead of fighting us upfront and with honour they hid behind weapons that let them fight from a distance that kept their own cowardly hides safe". "Can we truly say any deferent for the rest of us?. "They are parasites feeding off the lives of others. It weren't for the existance of others they would not be alive. We have always tried to blend with humanity. They however cannot. Most have no care for the lives of others, they live only to keep themselves and their kind going". Tahmores had worked himself into a fluster, he'd have to stop now. "Well I guess it's better that you look to fight someone who is a match for you, not someone weaker it wouldn't be fair".

Again it seemed the two males had fallen to bickering, or at least, testing one another. Quips and questions, back and forth, no doubt looking for some sort of weakness. Nadine watched with cool interest. For a moment she flashed a smile at Tahmores as he greeted her, and then, it fell back again to philosophy, not that it bothered her. Yzge'ek had a deep love of such things, she just wasn't going to put in her two cents if things were to get antagonistic.
"Dead is dead, just like this conversation boys...you've run it into a corner. " she winked at Aleksei, returning the gesture he had so sardonically given her awhile back. "I don't think its worth worrying about, we all die, and who cares?" the female almost barked it with some authority, perhaps she had just gotten bored of the topic, but mostly she was just stopping things before it became a more heated argument. It just seemed werewolf tempers always ran high...
"If you trust someone enough to watch your back for you, then you better be prepared to be betrayed. Or dead".
That only garnered a bit of an amused sound from Nadine, but she wasn't going to weigh in on that. Perhaps Aleksei was right, her first pack had failed her greatly, and perhaps the only peace she had was when she and her mate had run free...but she would have had no comfort if she had never trusted another living being.
She had been deep in thought remembering the wind in her fur and the way the sod felt between her toes, when she felt the tensions rising again, this time, it wasn't the more high strung male that was wound up, but rather the one eyed one, who seemed to have gotten more than a little hot under the collar about vampires...
"They are parasites feeding off the lives of others. It weren't for the existence of others they would not be alive. We have always tried to blend with humanity. They however cannot. Most have no care for the lives of others, they live only to keep themselves and their kind going".
Without a second thought, she put a hand out to comfortingly pat Tahmores, of course she was at a loss of what to say given the circumstances, she didn't care either way about vampires, a predator, in her territory, not part of her pack, was not welcome...she was simple like that.

Aleksei snorted, the sound partly amused and it was partly agreeing with the girl. He was suprised when she winked back at him, from an earlier gesture. Of course it seemed as sardonic in nature as his own wink had been. "That's right . . . we're all just living so that we can die one day." Aleksei stated, with some amusement in his voice. Aleksei then watched as various expressions lit across the faces of both of them, at his statement of betrayal. They seemed somehow or another effected by it, thoughtful. Ah. So they'd been betrayed before . . . how utterly interesting. Aleksei's entire life was centered on a sensation of betrayal, but he had never strictly been betrayed... Perhaps that was because, he'd never opened up enough for anyone to be able to make him trust them. That was Aleksei though-- self-absorbed and untrusting. Perhaps he put up the pretense of careless childishness, but he wasn't any fool. He'd grown up learning that you shouldn't trust anyone. Ever. Aleksei was quiet for an instant then, thinking of this act in his mind. As he thought more deeply about it, the words rang true. He'd never bothered trusting anyone, not in his entire life. He hadn't ever trusted anyone for housing, or food, or anything else. He'd been alone for as long as he could remember, even as a human. At these thoughts his brows twisted into a scowl, a glimmer of anger catching in the feral golden optics that belonged more to an animal than a human. To a wolf. Not a man. He shook his head just then, and Aleksei let out a sigh. That anger was replaced with something that was almost unnoticeable . . . was it sorrow? "Huh . . . guess you're entitled to your opinion, but if you think about it no one's really all that different. Vampires. Werewolves. Humans. We're all just a bunch of beasts trying to live in a world originally built for men. Everyone does what they have to get out alive." Aleksei stated with a distracted note in his voice. He'd never really cared about any of it, about any of the wars. He took no sides, for in his own opinion it didn't matter. Perhaps though, Aleksei's loathing was more directed towards his own kind instead of that belonging to the disease of vampirism. Why? Well, maybe once upon a time he'd been betrayed after all. occ: I’m sorry it took me so long to respond. I’ve been busy.
