Both could work, if she's an accountant and willing to be a corrupted one Damien could pay her to keep the sudden flow of cash to herself and do some transactions and whatnot, of course she would just know she was being paid to keep the money hidden and nothing else.
As for the random chat that works too, *shrug* whatever you prefer.
Or it could be a mix of both, they're having a random chat in a bar because they already knew themselves previously by negotiations? Damien wouldn't be the only one who would order her or give her the money to "hide" but he could be one of the people, sooo she'd know him a tad?
